So is this port any good? Or is it as shitty as the other BingBingWahooMachine ports?

Overpriced, runs just as well as Skyrim does on other platforms (except PC), not worth it for the portability until a price drop.

Its a pretty perfect port, supposedly it has the best framerate of the console versions but I've unly played it on pc until now so I can't confirm. Several visual effects from the other special editions aren't here, like dof, and of course there is modding.

The gyro aiming is perfect and makes bow fighting look and feel a lot more animated and realistic

It runs worse than the ps4/xboxone/pc versions
Overpriced
And the controls are pretty bad use a real controller

Runs and looks identical to 360 version

Lol, control is great

Not really unless you use a pro controller

Could you elaborate on the controls? I haven't had any issues

But it looks far better than the 360 version?

I have been waiting for a portable Elder's Scrollss since Obliviion/Travels was announced. So fuck off /v./ I am going to have fun

best version of skyrim coming thru

Its the special edition so most of the assets are different.

Fps is surprisingly solid and it looks good enough in portable mode, so I'm satisfied.

It doesn't really feel that good with the joycons i suggest using the pri controller it feels much better

>It runs worse than the ps4/xboxone/pc versions
>A weaker console using a mobile gpu runs worse than a dedicated consoles you
Wow...really made me think compadre

>joycons are just a regular controller split in half
>can’t play game without a regular controller

What did you mean by this?

I might actually buy this but that price holy shit.

So I'm actually thinking about getting the Switch. My question is how long does the battery actually last when playing Skyrim or some other equally demanding game?

>Skyrim in 2017 without free mods

Are you even serious?

That's not much of an elaboration. Do you have trouble with the Joycon in other games? Are they too small for your hands? I have a pro controller but I almost always prefer the Joycon because I like the way the buttons feel.

Trump?

Definitive [console] version. There is no point of owning it anywhere besides PC but if you want portability, this is the comfiest choice.

Yeah, they really should have gone for 40$. At least is very well optimized.

it lasts a good few hours. I played it on a decent chunk of an all day bus ride before I had to charge it. For casual portable use there's more than enough.

Around 3 hours.

I'm not buying Skyrim a third time

>He uses mods

Please?

>Runs and looks identical to 360 version

Look! A retard!

Wrong, Dreamboy

I hear it's decent. Obviously if you compare it side by side with PS4 and Xbox One or PC it's not great but apparently it still looks better than the original consoles and runs well enough in portable mode.
I might get it when there's a massive price drop

I never bought Skyrim & only played a few hours of it so I’m hype to play this version once it hits the mail today

What are you playing Sup Forums?

>Race

Argonian

One-Handed, Archery, Light Armor, Sneak, Alchemy, Smithing
Neutral, leaning to Empire

Khajiit

1H, Heavy armor, Archery, Smithing
Most likely stormcloaks

Light amor, sword and board, a bit of magic for buffs and weapon enchanting
>Stormcloak or imperial
>Having a fighting chance against the jewmer or being a good goy and listening to the jobber who hates dunmer

Gonna use a number randomizer to choose my race.
>gender
Male
>skills
Probably a jack of all trades, but master of none.
>stormcloak or imperial
Imperial

>Alchemy

Redpilll me on this. Is it a strong, weak or mediocre skill? It seems interesting but i have never gone deep on it.

youtube.com/watch?v=qqR58L9oEOc

>that stable as fuck framerate
I'm impressed. Bethesda clearly took their time with this port.

Not him,but it is pretty fun. Not very deep, but it makes exploration much more enjoyable.

Litteraly trying out now for the first time since Skyrim was released.

At low levels completely useless as potions you find are better. Yet to get it high enough.

Vanilla Skyrim........
The state of nu Sup Forums

It's fun at first, but it takes so obscenely long to level that it quickly becomes boring and unsatisfying due to lack of new skills for it.

Is this opposite day?

Haven’t played Skyrim since it’s roriginal release. Even then I only played through one play through. Might have to give this version a go

Not him but alchemy lets you make a ridiculous anount of money and carrying around hiards of invis / paralysis potions makes the game ez mode even on legendary

Skyrim is a good game to play to just turn your brain off and relax. I obviously don't want most games to be like that, but if I just want to chill then Skyrim isn't a bad option.
I'm not even considering getting it until it's under 10 dollars though.

If you want to actually enjoy it in 2017, you better get it on Steam.

I only mentioned that because the other dude said it's just as good as the other versions except pc

Will survival mode be coming to the switch?

that looks neat actually
not that Im going to buy this piece of shit game but still looks good and maintains the frames

I just dont like the feel i prefer using the pro controller

>Breton
>Man
>Destruction, conjuration, alteration, restoration
>Imperial because I hadn't done that side yet
Currently a vampire lord battle mage. The ability to summon meat shields at will pretty much breaks the game
Secondary: assassin-oriented, much easier when you're a vamp
>sneak, illusion, 1H, lockpicking

uninstall wizard

Looks like we have ourselves an Adam Sandler in the thread.

Nord
Male
Light Armor, Block, One Handed, Sneak, Archery

Typical set up

Breton Male
Attack: Conjuration and One-Handed Sword
Defense: Restoration and Alteration, usually no armor, never used Illusion
I have never once done the civil war storyline

How useful is speech?

Will survival mode be coming to the switch or not

It's a great port, it runs and looks better than PS3/360 version but is a bit worse than PS4/XBO. The framerate is rock solid, I'm really surprised. For some bizarre reason they cranked the saturation just for the Switch version, it's way more colorful than anywhere else and I like that.

Nowhere near as useful as it was in previous games or it is with mods.

wow its like I really have astigmatism

A shit game is a shit game.

to be fair I uploaded that screenshot from portable mode, to twitter (which compresses the fuck out of it) then converted it to jpg, it's nowhere near that blurry in game (DOOM is though). I just quickly uploaded that to show how different the colors are.

>It's a great port, it runs and looks better than PS3/360 version but is a bit worse than PS4/XBO.

Biggest offender is the draw distance. Everything else is so minor you'd never notice.

This, 50 bucks is overkill

Yeah, and even then the draw distance was just as bad on PS3/360.

>Switch sales were lackluster since release
>Skyrim Switch confirmed, sales skyrocket in anticipation

I hope you've thanked Bethesda for saving your console from being another Wii U ninkiddos.

what? I know this is some gay meme post but Switch sold great on release, and if I remember correctly Skyrim was announced before the Switch even came out.

Guys please
Is there any work on survival mode for the switch

B-b-but you can play as Link!!!!

how likely for a price drop is this? i love skyrim and i never finished it but 60 is too much Todd.

really? that's cool

No it isn't retard. It's a skin for your shield/sword/shirt.

If you are retarded enough to pay $60, or fuck even $5 for that, then you are fucked.

Especially when I am sure the mods for this are available on PC and Xbox One.

Doesnt seem so

FOR FUCKS SAKE JUST PLEASE TELL ME IF IT WILL GET THE CREATION CLUB

Just like the Zelda mod that adds the Majora's Mask moon, music, weapons and armor?

How the hell can you release a game over and over again? People keep buying the same game like how does Bethesda get away with it?

pic related, it looks quite silly

oh okay thanks have a nice day

No

The only bad port so far is Rime.
Skyrim and Doom are fucking amazing.

>Nintendo games
>price drop
lol

>Switch sales were lackluster since release

Damn crazy skooma addicts.

It's the superior version of vanilla, gyro controls are pretty good.

Not at all. That mod is far superior to "Link" gear in the switch version

>The only bad port so far is Rime.
>Skyrim and Doom are fucking amazing.

DOOM doesn't take full advantage of docked mode. Otherwise it's good.

And you clearly don't know Troll and I. That makes even Rime look like a good port.

Skyrim is still shit even with a gorillion mods and it's only good for porn
I can't even fathom why anyone would want to play vanilla

>playing skyrim without a mouse and keyboard

How and why

Doom literally drops to 20fps a bunch of times ninteshill

>playing skyrim in the first place

>Race
Imperial
>Gender
Male
>Main skills
Restoration, Conjuration, Heavy Armor, One-Handed, Smithing, Enchanting
>Stormcloak or Imperial
Imperial

Modeled after the cleric class in (classic) D&D.

Motion controls for bow+arrow are good

>not playing Skyrim

No, it doesn't.
Just because you see an instrumental comparison video from gaffers doesn't mean you will notice it during gameplay.

>a bunch of times

It's extremely rare.

Lmao you're delusional. Kys shills

it does. I have it and I'm thoroughly impressed it runs at all, but in any fight with tons of enemies it drops to 20 and stays there the whole time.

So can you use the gyro controls at all times to look around, or is it only when aiming a bow?

Bow

Is Destruction / Conjuration a viable build if I want to glass cannon? Haven't played since like 2014
