You can earn anything in-game that you could pay for, it's just gated behind a grind, meaning the game has more replayability and you can unlock everything in 2 fucking hours. Personally, I'd feel a lot more rewarded grinding out 40 hours to play the way I want, and then feel accomplished after doing so.

EA has done this before and they put in microtransactions AFTER their fans complained about it.
