How is this game for learning japanese?
I just want to get to the point where I can read manga in japanese and maybe play unlocalised games like MHXX without too much trouble.

Hiragana is definitely all you need to read manga and play games
what about katakana?
Nah bro you'll totally be able to cope with just hiragana. Hell you might not even need that.
>Hell you might not even need that.
u wat?
Japanese is one mess of a shitty language, OP.
This is false, games use hiragana, katakana and common kanji (and mot games don't have furigana).
You dont need a fucking game to learn Hiragana or Katakana like a baby jesus christ. If you can handle the alphabet then you can handle hiragana and katakana.
this guy is 100% correct, honestly romaji and hiragana will get you through everything like a pro
is a lying shitposter
shut the fuck up bitch
djtguide.neocities.org
Just follow the DJT guide. It's actually got good advice and resources in it.
you can teach yourself hiragana either with wikipedia or flashcards as easily as this thing will do you
Kill yourself and stay on Sup Forums or wherever you general fucks are now.
Far as I remember, this teaches you the Kana, which is the equivalent of learning the alphabet in English as far as learning the language goes.
You will also need to learn afterwards:
The Kanji (2400~ Jouyou + extra hyougaiji that are commonly used)
Grammar (straight forward but has a bunch of exceptions and rules, easier than english)
Vocabulary (To be able to read any one Japanese magazine or book, it's about 12-15K words you gotta know unless you wanna be checking a dictionary all the time)
If you put in a lot of effort, about 3 hours a day minimum, ideally 6 hours a day, you could learn nihongo in a years time and be pretty good at it. This game will teach you in a week, what you could learn in a day just studying the kana.
>lying shitposter
look for any game screenshot or, if you have a multi-language game set it to japanese.
Hiragana alone is worth nothing.
yeah, once you got romaji down you can basically read everything
best shitpost
悪いです日本語は難しいです
>romanji
Now I know you're shitposting, one of the first things you do is drop romanji in Japanese, because it's a weeb thing that's a bad fucking habit.
you're just a butthurt chink faggot trying to convince people not to learn japanese
hiragana and romaji are literally all you need
go shitpost somewhere else
even this guy knows it
>only Hiragana
>no Katakana
>no Kanji
Hiragana are literally the ABC of the Japanese language (which should be learned in a week)
The Kanji, words, and Grammar are the big boy stuff
shut the fuck up you stupid lying chink
nobody is going to believe you
go bitch about nanking some more
>romanji
There it is again, that shitposting.
Don't ever write Japanese in Romanji, it just points you out as a weeaboo faggot mongoloid.
Do this. And be aware of what you're getting yourself into. You're only in for disappointment and frustration if you try to half-ass everything.
Kirr yourserf
I found I learn faster reading hentai and watching anime with japanese subtitles. I know it would be faster if I read ecchi manga with furigana...
at the end I know Im going to have a shitty level of japanese but as long I can understand the basic plot of hentai I will be happy. right now I can have an idea what are they saying and it feels good when you can remember the kanjis and their pronunciation
>悪いです日本語は難しいです
そうね、日本語はほんとに難しすぎるんだね
they're right, learning the grammar is fine, learning the kana is easy, it's just grinding out the thousands of kanji and their associated okurigana is a ballache also slang/onomatopoeia etc
all you need is a basic understanding of hangul and you should be able to consume most jap media
OP here, I don't need to master japanese or anything. Just enough to get by and read manga that isn't translated or is only in japanese for the most part.
Basically I'd like to know enough to get by with the furigana in most mangas.
It'll help you read words in hiragana, but you won't understand any of it.
Well considering that Japanese along with Arabic, Mandarin, and I think Korean are the hardest languages for a native English speaker to learn, probably not
this. just spend an hour to learn hangul and never worry again ㅋㅋ
> I don't need to master japanese or anything. Just enough to get by and read manga
well erm download the yotsuba manga and the entry level yotsuba anki deck and have fun grinding for hours to read a few pages of yotsuba at a time
yeah keep shitposting chink faggot
Learn Mandarin and after that Clementine. Way easier and you'll have a pretty good standing even when looking for jobs.
here's ur resources OP

just thank fuck that china never developed a great game scene as chinese doesn't even have conjugation afaik
がんばれ
>Mandarin
No high paying job in the world is worth dealing with stinky mainlanders and their shitty attitude
