Pretty much my first multiplayer game. 32-64 player battles in 2002 was amazing. All the mods for it gave it even more longevity. Met my first online friends there. Back then I imagined that we'd be having 300-600 player battles in 2012 or so with better Internet connections but sadly games just focused on graphics.
Even games that look like shit such as PUBG only manage 100 players and not even well at that with their trash netcode.

mw2 was okay for a week but I went back to cod4 afterwards
it was just too glitchy on release and all the other guns were underpowered compared to AR's
all the extra attachments, killstreaks and perks were cool but sometimes all of that stuff was just too much
