shitty rehash that should've been DLC but fans will eat it up anyway because they don't know better

I only got it because of the new Pokemon. If those same Pokemon are available in the Switch game, though...

Do not interrupt your customer when he is making a mistake - Napoopan

their last chance to con me into 3DS and they fucked it up

I don't think much of anything of it since I haven't played it.

Is Chicken trying to get Gladion's inner darkness in her

Chicken just wants Gladion to explore her inner darkness.

Totem WishyWashy from Vanilla SM was harder than Totem Araquinid

Especially since it had Alomomola who could Fucking HEAL IT

I pirated it, just started Lana's trial and so far the game seems very much the same. It does get you through the starting bits quicker, but not by much.

They're good as standalones but render SM redundant, which isn't good since they did BW2 as a sequel already.
It also makes me wonder why the fuck fans were clamoring for a "Z" in the XY gen.

Because X and Y was dog shit and Zyguard was literally just randomly in a cave

>clamoring

Every third legendary gets their own fame with a new form, Zyguard however didn’t get it as was forced into SM

Was pretty shit. Would have considered a skip if I wasn't a collecter who needed the Ridley knock off.

this. Even Capcom is starting to drop enhanced editions. Says something about Game Freak when a company that previously had no issue selling you 8 different types of Street Fighter decided to make enhancements all DLC/Patches and Pokemon regressed back to the format.

Main game is identical aside from removing the stuff that lead to sex memes and a raised difficullty. Only difference pre E4 is that you fight an uber totem instead of evil Lusamine and a new hallway before said fight.

What is the difference between ultra and non ultra?

I just finished Sun a few days ago. Convince me not to get Ultra Sun.

Because every 3rd game since the GBC era added some good shit to the series.

Emerald had a whole other game for the post-game, added sprites that move and some more life. Platinum was D/P but not shit. B2/W2 were fucking fantastic.

>meanwhile is the last 6 months crapcom released resi7 gold, monhun xx, street fight v arcade and others I've surely forgot

I'm half way through the third island of moon. Do i finish it or just jump straight to Ultra?

Frankly, Lusamine and Guzma were written bad in Ultra

I preferred Insane Lusamine and “I ain’t saying Sorry” Guzma better

4 new legendaries/1 new mythical. A new photo mode, a small post game thing about a revived Team Rocket and usual enhanced edition crap like old legendaries and move tutors.

It's sad when you realize the spinoff games have more thought and effort put into their games than the mainline games. The only pokemon games I look forward to are unironically the mystery dungeon games now.

I'm playing Ultra Moon. In order to keep my attention, I boxed my starter and ran with an Alolan Muk, Hawlucha, and Ampharos until a few hours ago when I finally grabbed a Larvesta.

>lets make it a 1% encounter in some fuck nowhere cave xD
Piss off with this. The changes to the electric trial were cool, but so far it's basically the same shit which is underwhelming and tiresome because I've seen 95% of these cutscenes already. Hope the new content is worth it.

I want to give Lillie another brother

mediocre games that barely fix anything that was bad about the original sun moon

If people who played and beat SuMo when they were new are complaining they're basically just replaying the same game, I think you'd experience even more annoyances since Sun is fresh in your mind

Is the postgame more developed than the stupid tree? Even X and Y at least had a town for the battle maison instead of just slapping a desk next to a tree

Not whole new game good shit, except for BW2 but that's because they were whole new games set in the same region, not rereleases with some shit tacked onto the ass of the game.

An excuse to play a Pokémon game is always welcome. May not be the best games but I still get comfy in bed playing.

Glad the beginning gives you a starter a lot quicker than in SM because resetting for a nature was a nightmare last time.

Just a brief thing with a revived Team Rocket and the usual old legendaries.

>Worry about nature in game.

Unless it's the worst possible nature in game, don'y worry about it.

I love all the little isolated optional events and quests they added through the game. At the end of the day, it's based on Sun and Moon though, so it's stuck with the dogshit region of Alola, and the attempt at expanding on the Battle Facility angle a lot of core fans like was weak as fuck.

Fuck the people who say it should've been DLC. A twenty dollar budget re-release, great, but fuck DLC. Especially from a company that has killed off not just two but soon three of their digital distribution services.

I wish there was a doujin of the MC crawling under the hedge and accosted by those two Skull gtunt girls in Po Town.

I never saw the Heal Pulse because I fried the fucker with Charjabug. Araquanid gave me a run for my money. The pretty high Sp. Atk fucked up my Magnemite pretty quick

>tfw gamespy went down
>tfw Join Avenue is dead whenever I visit Black 2
>XYORAS can't even get the Global Link stuff anymore
Agreed, fuck DLC in general.

I like it

I think I can agree with this.
I just wanted a relaxing game to lie in bed with while it's blowing snow outside, and I blew through EOV pretty fast for an EO title, so my next go to is Pokemon.
Going to get a shiny Poipole whenever it comes around in the game.

>buying a 3DS for Pokemon
I like Pokemon but come on mate, there's a shitload of better games on the 3DS to play. Are you sure there's NOTHING else you care about on it?

Blatant cashgrab. It's even more of a copy+paste release than the other third versions in the series. I haven't bought a third version since Crystal though (after skipping GS). After the travesty that was SM there is no way I wanted to play another game set in Alola, even if it was an actual sequel like B2W2 were. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the series, but if gamefreak doesnt seriously shake things up for its Switch project I might finally drop it after all this time.

Like what? I already have one and I'm not him, but I've been looking for good 3ds games to buy recently. I haven't bought a game apart from pokemon in years.

So when you catch an Ultra Beast, you can just go back and catch another one, right? I want to SR for a shiny Guzzlord.

If I didn't play the original versions of Sun and Moon, is this one worth picking up? Is it a good game on it's own merit?

Well for starters tell me what you already have.
Anyway that girl is from Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, which is a remake of Devil Survivor 2 that's actually worth playing because aside from the original campaign, they have an entire second campaign new to it, basically 1.8x the original game's total.
Etrian Odyssey games are generally rather good first person dungeon crawlers.
There's the obvious Kid Icarus Uprising.
A personal favorite is Ever Oasis, but that's for kids mostly so be cautious (ARPG town sim).

This chart's a little outdated but here, some are pretty good on it.

>is it a good game on it's own merit?

No. It's not even a good Pokemon game for that matter. But then again neither was SM.

Gotta leave their world first but yes. I love the details there

>Pheromosa is a cockroach that finds everything unclean
>UM reveals it's native to a glassed desert.

Yeah, Ultra Ruin portals are very rare though.
The game is good, despite the complaints of cutscenes I found it pretty enjoyable. The issue people have is that it's too similar to the original, which is wholly justified because that's jewish as fuck.

If you didn't play SM then it's fine. Set the dialogue to fast though because Island 1 is super wordy.

>Buzzwole lives in a volcano in a world covered in trees that flex like bodybuilders
The wormholes and surfing were easily the best part.

well it has this

RE7 Gold and SFV Arcade are jhust the retail versions of the games with all the DLC included. You're not forced to buy them/

My collection is pretty limited since like I said I'm mostly a Pokemon guy. So I've got Pokemon Y and Sun, Fire Emblem Awakening, Animal Crossing, Link Between Worlds, SMTIV (never finished this, should I go back to it?), Luigi's Mansion, and OoT. I think I have Mario Kart/DK returns digitally as well.

Nothing too exciting, like I said I haven't used my 3DS for a long time and recently bought a new one for SM since my old one died and I'm looking to expand my library. What are some absolute essentials I'm missing? RPGs are my favorite genre.

fucking crapcom promised to not do a G rank ver of MHX but did MHXX instead cos its technically not a G ver.

Can a first encounter Guzzlord be shiny?

I want to play with mommy's feet!

>Set the dialogue to fast though because Island 1 is super wordy.
People have actually played Pokemon games on any scroll speed lower than "fast"? It's not even a matter of mashing through stuff you don't want to read, even when you are paying attention it's just annoying waiting for the text to appear on the screen slower than you can read it. Any game that allows me to change settings so that the text appears on screen instantly, I do it, unless it has special care put towards *how* the text rolls on screen, like Paper Mario or EarthBound, where textual dialogue has pauses and other effects to imitate spoken dialogue.

MY LITTLE NIN NIN LEGS ARE SHAKING

Yes. serebii.net/games/shiny.shtml

Scroll to the bottom.

If you like DQ they remade 7 and 8 on the 3DS. SMT4 got an expansion/standalone title called SMT4 Apocalypse. If you like the more job centric FF's like 3 and 5 check out Bravely Default. If you have a New 3DS but not a Wii Xenoblade Chronicles is a pretty solid pick. There's also Ever Oasis, which is an action RPG with town building and management elements. If you like dungeon crawler's Etrian Odyssey V just released.

Get some Etrian Odyssey in there. EO and Pokemon are my favourite rpg series, both have such wonderful customizability for your party and the way you go about beating enemies. Also bitchin' music.

Well then yeah, definitely try out both Devil Survivor remakes (Overclocked and Record Breaker, Sup Forums generally prefers OC but RB is one of my favorite games of all time), they're TRPGs.
SMTIV is a great game, also SMTIV Apocalypse is pretty good (despite complaints from fans about the tone) but finish IV before touching it at all.
7th Dragon 3 is a weaker 7th Dragon title (and very easy) but I loved it, unfortunately the best fight is DLC.
I hear Dragon Quest games are solid JRPGs, as are the Bravely games but I have not played Bravely.
Xenoblade Chronicles was good on Wii and it's a little uglier on N3DS but still good.
Etrian Odyssey is one of my favorite series but requires patience, it's a DRPG that lets you make your own map and has wonderful party composition and building mechanics.
I've heard nothing but praise for Rune Factory 4, although I haven't had the chance to play it.

So I played Alpha Sapphire and it was fun but I skipped Sun/Moon, Do I have to play those first or can I skip straight to US/UM?

In other words, are these like expanded versions or sequels. Thanks.

Do I buy ultra S/M or play Platinum for the first time?

>You will never get into a age changing relationship with her where you start off as her son and she gets younger while you age
>You won't experience her going from loving mommy, to protective big sister, to annoying twin, to younger wife, to little sister.

skip em
they're the former
you can just emulate platinum, you don't have to shell out for it

Nothing has sparked my interest in USUM, but if there's one thing I want expanded on, it's Ultra Beasts and their lore. I know you can visit their respective areas, what are they like and do they add anything of significance to the Ultra Beasts? How important they are this time around, because in S/M I felt they were a one-and-done deal and didn't do enough with ultra space in general.

As would be obvious if you spent two minutes looking at the rest of this thread, they're expansions. And pretty shitty ones at that.

USUM is the exact same game as Sun/Moon with extra content. Skip Sun/Moon altogether, you aren't missing anything.

It's like Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum but there are two of them. Don't bother with the original SM.

Expanded additions, no reason not to get them instead of USM unless you desperately need the gen 2/5 starters in Apricon balls.

US as all the legendaries exclusive to first versions and vice verse for UM so it's recommended you buy UM if you're a first version fag and US if you're a second version fag.

any adult who still plays pokemon games is an irredeemable retard.
it is the most stale, uninteresting franchise in existence, only rivalled by cod.

Just play US/UM. There are only a few additions.

Did they ever reveal who this fag's dad was?

The best area is Guzzlord's.
One last person stayed behind in a dying universe to take care of the creatures, which were left behind by the fleeing human race and are slowly going extinct as well, until there's nothing left. Broken speakers faintly scratch out messages that indicate the place used to be Hau'oli city.

Sweet, just what I needed to know.

that sounds cool, is it just a glorified hallway to the ultra beast like in S/M or can you explore a little bit more?

That's mostly /vp/. The majority of people that buy Pokémon games actually enjoy them.

iirc I slapped its shit with the hideously powerful Hawlucha you trade for

Entrain Odyssey Untold
Monster Hunter Stories
Kirby Planet Robobot

is the game that bad? i liked moon, i didnt really dislike it, so would i like ultra moon? i pirate 3ds games of course

agreed. its pretty sad people pay for this shit, its barely different than sun and moon

It's an alright game, it just doesn't add enough new shit. Main game is near identical aside from having decent difficulty.

If you're not even paying, what's the harm in giving it a go?

Story is less cinematic. I am not sure whether to like it or not

im gonna die soon. cant waste time

It's the best one because there's more than just one straightaway. Legitimately a great moment in the game despite everything else. Those big demonic black hole aliens ended up just being discarded junk compactors that were left behind.

Nihilego's area is the same but you sit on the stool and it attempts to bite your head.
Pheromosa requires Mudsdale and Machamp for a short area leading to her.
Buzzwole is pretty much the hall, although it has the best music and flexing trees.
Kartana has several alien trainers who wield Kartana themselves, blocking you from getting to the wild one at the end.
Celesteela idk what the structure of the world is gameplay wise, but it's covered in roots and craters from the swarms of Celesteela presumably planted there, and one bursts out of the ground. Notably there's a distant one the size of a mountain taking off.
Xurkitree, ditto for the gameplay but it takes place on a mountain made of a massive Xurkitree, with enormous Xurkitree dotting the landscape. "Regular" size ones run happily along the body of the big one, assumedly it's young, and you attack a recently planted one.
Guzzlord yeah it's in wrecked nega-Hau'oli. There's an NPC in a guzzlord-colored hazmat suit to talk to, make sure to do so several times during your first visit.
Stakataka and Blacephalon are only invaders to your world.
Poipole/Naganadel are native as the starter to Ultra Megalopolis (hallway).

Where the fuck did you get Larvesta?

how soon?

Thanks, I'll definitely check all of these out. Etrian Odyssey always seems really neat but I was always a bit turned off by the first person dungeon crawling perspective for some reason but the rest from the little that I've seen seems really appealing. I don't want to be annoying, but can someone sell me on it with a few more details? I'd trust someone on here more than a random normie reviewer on youtube.

Why do so many people waifu Lillie? Rosa is best pokegirl.

before christmas

Because she has a super hot mom and is constantly on your dick.

Skip it then. You already played sumo after all. I hope you won't be in pain.

How's DQ 7 and 8 on 3DS? A lot of grinding and difficulty spikes? Never played a DQ game before but I want to get into the series.

Yes. Their plots also move pretty slowly. They're only if you're into the long haul.

Lillie is best gen 7 girl.
Rosa/Hilda best every gen girls.

As much as I actually like these, they're not even close to being worth wasting time on if you've got that little left mate.
If you're insistent on games then there's many others out there worth playing. I hope you find satisfaction somewhere before it's over user.

My man
