years ago i was playing gaylo 3. i was doing the Ark level where you need to take down a scarab alongside a bunch of wraiths n shit. i was splitscreen but my partner had left to deal with shit and had left his dude at the top of the fucking bigass structure the scarab was guarding, close to the end of that segment. I was piloting a ghost and the scarab fuckin stepped on me, killing me instantly but launching the ghost sky high. I respawned next to my buddy and fucking called out to him irl about how he was so fucking far away from the main obj. while I was doing this, the same ghost i had been piloting dropped on my fucking head and killed me instantly. due to my laziness, i didnt bother backing up the footage and it was lost to autosave overwrites.

not really an achievement but it was among the most major moments to stick out in my mind. as for an ACTUAL achivement, getting someone to unironically accuse me of aimbotting as a pure demoknight on tf2 after I continually smoked him with ambush charges leading up to 1-shot kills during 1v1's, while repeatedly smoking people during normal matches with him present using the same tactics. pic related isn't proof of the actual incident but it's at least a testament to it

Back in ancient DFO, beat the nexon-era tower of despair as a berserker (my first character) without the use of two key moves (derange/thirst), which meant I couldn't do shit for damage. Couldn't fix shit skills because everything was shutting down. It would take me two weeks each to clear two floors out of the whole bunch, 81 and 100, but I did it with 3 weeks to spare. DFO made its return but that tower was rebalanced and there is no challenge to it anymore. Nothing new in Neople's version gets me hyped up because it will never be as nostalgia-kino as legitimately struggling to beat that tower under a strict timeframe with such a shitty character. Each loss felt like I was going to miss the deadline because I only had a limited amount of attempts. Beating that tower felt better than cumming, my entire body was shaking and exhausted even after fights that would last only 10 minutes. I could barely hit the right keys sometimes because of the amount of pressure to perform. I miss those fights dearly, and I know I won't ever get them again due to the balancing/leveling of Neople's DFO. It's a very solid game, but there is no way they can replicate those circumstances, not even if Neople decided to shut down NA DFO a second time. It is too different.
