Sry, I've misread it. Still the only thing they really have to fix is buffing the defensive options. There is nothing wrong with SFV fundamentally, some things just need to be re-tweaked a bit.

technically it's not a new version, it's still the same game and the base game owners will also get the new content. AE is basically just a code to instantly unlock the season 1,2 characters.

Pretty sure they will release this shit with the Arcade Edition's launch. They want to kind of rebrand SFV, so it will finally get good scores and reception.

I agree with the defensive options part but I do mmiss normals actually having some reach, I don't like how shortened they are.

I don't really care about combos. They need to fix load times, improve netcode with variable delay (even Punch Planet has this and it's a basic as fuck early access game), faster frame data, and longer hitboxes

They are not getting anything for free, they are buying Arcade Edition with real money for all the extras that are included.

All the characters can be purchased with in-game currency as always so yes, as long as you bought the original game every gameplay-related content for you remains free of real money.

It's a part of playing defensive and safe, and a more important part than a strong reversal to get you out of shit situations
Characters like honda (the classic defensive tank character in my opinion) are defined by strong, safe normals, specials and good anti airs. He's not defined by a super good reversal.
