Did it go wrong? I loved this movie when I first saw it. It's just pure dumb fun.

It's not even clear what Tifa canonically looks like. In the cutscenes she doesn't always look the same. It's like there were multiple generations of it. Or they were done by different teams and they didn't know which ones to keep but fuck it they kept them all. Generally yeah her tits were freaking yuge as far as I can remember. They're smaller in AC.

On the other hand they made Aerith's tits bigger while nerfing Tifa's.
So I guess it works out.

What really pisses me about this movie is the fact that two years passed since the end of the game and we learned absolutely nothing about what happened to the rest of the cast. Apparently Barret found some oil in Corel and nothing else, Vincent hung around the Ancient City, Cloud and Tifa started some kind of delivery business. What the fuck happened to Nanaki? Did he go back to Cosmo Canyon and defend it from enemies like his father Seto did? Did Yuffie go back to Wutai and use the materia she'd collected to help? Or did Godo start training her to become leader after he retired? What about Reeve? No mention there. There's a big battle against Bahamut Sin and then everyone suddenly shows up out of nowhere.

Tifa's is the big one. It shows how she and Cloud lived together after the game ended, and how they had some struggles. It gives Cloud some more complexity that sets up his seemingly sudden personality shift if you are coming into the film blind.

I think Case of Denzel is just an OVA released with A CC, but it gives Denzels backstory.

It's really frustrating that Advent Children could have been coherent. The material is there to lash it together, but it's so fragmented it doesn't matter. The movie, taken by itself, is still bad. With supplemental material it at least makes sense.

Not as much as you'd think, but there's a bit in Tifas that's important. And Denzels, I guess.

That's the biggest problem of AC. Instead of being a character-driven narrative, it's just a bunch of cutscenes strung together.

Hell no. It talks a little bit about how Cloud missed out on growing up normal, because he joined Shinra so early. Tifa teaches him the names of vegetables and he learns how to negotiate for supplies for 7th Heaven.

Later on he's drinking alone, and Tifa offers to join him. He declines, and she gets upset. There's a fair bit about how he's so not great with people.

Then it goes into setting up the delivery service.

Its pretty cool. You can find the translations pretty easily, I think they're on thelifestream.net, or something like that.

Absolutely. After reading the short stories, watching Case of Denzel, and playing CC, ACC was OK. But by itself it is just awful, so I'd never call it a good movie or recommend that anyone watch it.

Reeve and Cid's projects turn up in DOC. Doggo may have just been hanging out with Cloud and Tifa based on the same game.
