Nioh

>Nioh is cheap for Black Friday
>Try to look up reviews
>Literally not one single review that doesn't bring up Dark Souls

I've never fucking played Dark Souls and that's not the game I thought I was looking up reviews for.

Can any of you tell me what I'm in for without bringing up Dark Souls? Fuck, looking up this game seems impossible.

It's a dark souls with skill trees.

It's the Bloodborne of Samurai games.

Just read Dark Souls reviews.

Then you'll know if you'll like a slightly inferior version of those games.

Onimusha redux.

it's dark souls with katanas

Are we ever gonna get a retail version of this with all the dlc and stuff for PS4?

considering they blatantly copied aspects from dark souls and the ads they put out for the game anyone who brings it up is completely justified. Because for the first half of the game it IS dark souls and then it starts turning into this weird Ninja gaiden spinoff that can easily be broken with a lot of builds.

>slightly inferior version
Nice b8

Japan is getting it in December, even comes with a guide book and soundtrack.

You mean superior

no its fucking not

great, im gonna wait a few months to see if they sell it in europe

It's an action rpg in a similar style to a game whose name rhymes with shark holes

Well, it is literally Onimusha crossed with Dark Souls mechanics, soooo........

Fart moles?

Onimusha if it was made to be more like Dark Souls.

nioh is a game with a fairly dim setting. You'll mainly find yourself fighting at night, with occasional flashes of lightning and torches as your main sources of light. You will proceed by collecting experience from the essence-- the very life force of your enemies, and using them to strengthen yourself. It's similar to pac man in this way

Gee, it's almost like websites other than Steam exist.

Lords of the Fallen with samurai

ya and its illegal to buy it from anywhere else than steam you are always supporting shitty russian fuckheads

I like Nioh I will buy it on sale.

Aw geeze, I'm sorry guys. Normally I'm not this terrible at spotting bait. I'll make it up to you all next thread.

buying from G2A is illegal
buying from fanatical is illegal
buying from any keysite is illegal and you deserve to have those keys deactivated they are always obtained via scummy methods

It's about 37 on GMG with the discount code.

kek

thats illegal GMG is a key site

game, sadly, falls apart after edo castle
it becomes shit, I really loved most if it before that though
wasted potential. and fuck them for padding with early game bosses, it was retarded waste of time.

It literally mimics the Souls style games

the surge mimics
this one at least tries to be different, sometiems in wrong ways

I know right?

that is illegal

that's not how copyright law works

This so much.

Only in shitty Jewed 3rd world countries such as the USA.

So?

I was going to point out the double standard, but I just looked up Grim Dawn on Steam and half the top reviews still mention Diablo, so nevermind. I guess it's only fair that a ____clone gets compared to the original.

yes it is

It was hard and pretty fun for the first 5 main missions or so. Now i'm just steamrolling every new area and killing most bosses before their mechanics can happen.

Now it just feels like a slog through really obvious traps and ganks where I can just chug elixirs every time I fuck up and never worry about running out.

if you dont obtain it in a legal way its not legitimate

Its great. Have almost finished main campaign and bought season pass for 7britbucks on black friday sale.

it gets that way for a little while, then you get a hard boss, a few easy ones, and late game is nightmare

So?

You believe torrent websites are illegal because of copyright laws?

so you are a loser

Whoever thought up the "lol now i'm invincible and super powered" mechanic needs to be fired. Remember in good games where the boss starts using new attacks and becomes a lot more dangerous as it nears death? Not in Nioh! Just get them to 1/3 health, pop your guardian bullshit and mash attack until you win!

yeah, but then you get to the bosses that have enough HP to eat up 5 of these and you feel like an idiot wasting it too early

In this game you kill the same demon guy millions of times and his friend the large skeleton warrior, but they keep coming back. You also meet waifus along the way.

Dark souls in Japan

Sloth talismans.

How?

Fucking play dark souls. If you tried it and don't like it, you won't like nioh. It's a very similar experience except with more RPG mechanics.

because you are a thief

You're the one losing m8
You're losing money

>except with more RPG mechanics.
and it got actual story,as terrible as it might be
game is aesthetic as hell though, I seriously want real game set in Japan instead of this bullshit souls clone

Yeah but I spent less money then you and enjoyed the same product

Checkmate, I win

Thieves are criminals, not losers

enjoy getting fined out the ass when you are caught

>getting fined out the ass
son,are you german by any chance? rest of the world doesn't care.

That call being smart you cuck

Do you mean with the oni shit? Can't think of much, honestly. If you just want regular old Japan, the Way of the Samurai series is right up your alley. One of my favorites.

A thief deprive the original owner of a particular product
A pirate don't

learn to speak basic English before posting here ESL is NOT welcome

>Way of the Samurai
earlier, good ones, are not on pc and I can't stand emulation for controls reasons

Do you realize that every second you are alive, millions of micro-organisms are murdered inside your body?

Many counties don't really care about piracy, unless you're making a profit out of it.
Ans almost no pirates make a profit out of piracy, they just enjoy free media and call it a day.

Only counties like USA, Britain or Germany actually have or enforce anti-piracy laws.
There are places with great internet connections and nearly no piracy laws actually applied.

Lamo are you actually serious

>TFW piratefags are so self conscious about being criminals that they respond to obvious bait that's already been called out as being bait in order to defend their hedonistic, amoral lifestyles.

Make me

gr8 b8 m8 8/8

actually they chose best time
funny things about whole mongol invasion:
1. mongols wanted only status "bow to us and all be fine, we won't even tax you" japan: "NO!!!"
2. two invasions = two devastating storms cutting mongol forces in half
3. Japan used only local armies to route them, not even all country gathering, and there was around 70k mongols

whole mongol invasion was hilarious, it alter led to muromachi shogunate fall because of economic burden of preparations to next one which ironically never happened

>Only counties like USA, Britain or Germany actually have or enforce anti-piracy laws.
So only countries where the jew is strong.

How are they better?
The "newest ones" simply implemented humor. It's pretty much the same formula otherwise, gameplay is very similar, it has the same shitty graphics
Is it about the story?

If so, emulation of the first two is nearly perfect, you can also use the original controller and get the same experience, but in HD. What are you talking about

Ninja Gaiden with Dark Souls mechanics

Holy shit how do I beat the second Ommyou dojo challenge?

>super electric dogos? Gigantic blob monsters? Super mad demons? nah, the most dangerous monster encountered so far is a fucking umbrella!
Pls

dealing with those umbrella things is kinda straight forward, you block the needles the throw out when they spin and push in and hit them and if they jump up and dive down dodge to the side, otherwise plan out you magic shit and actually use the elemental buffs they give you

watch gameplay idiot

It's more Ninja Gaiden than Souls anyways. Combat is fast and technical instead of the slow roll-fest that is Souls.

What is the drop chance for Ethereals?

Obsessed.

>Oh we are working on a game about feudal japan
You gotta be a samooray with a kitaanay
It's not hard to pronounce them correctly, really.

And you don't use punctuations.Useless rednecks are also not welcome here.

>s.U
You need to fuck off too.

Where do I start if I want to play Ninja Gaiden games?

With Ninja Gaiden.

What ads?

Fuck you, Data Masamune, and your lightning speed, one-hit kill attack.

anybody got some hot tips on where to start with gearing once I hit NG++ and onwards and I have access to ethereal gear? I've been using a warrior of the west + lightning weapon focused build in NG+ and it's worked pretty well since things die fairly quickly once I get them electrocuted but I hear the actual busted shit opens up once you get ethereal gear, and the resources I can find are out of date or incomplete. I found a spreadsheet of stuff that can roll on gear but it only goes up to divines and has never been updated since.

>Duke Nukem is cheap for Black Friday
>Try to look up reviews
>Literally not one single review that doesn't bring up DOOM

I've never fucking played DOOM and that's not the game I thought I was looking up reviews for.

Can any of you tell me what I'm in for without bringing up DOOM? Fuck, looking up this game seems impossible.

Bushido Souls tbqh

Sigma 1 or Black

Unfair bullshit, even Dark Souls 2 was better than this.

Yeah, holy shit that boss was some of the least fun I've ever had in a game.

They just don't understand what made Dark Souls so good.

patch for the snow sections that make your computer fucking die when

How do you even die against those stone soldiers? They're slow as shit.

> Walking slowly around with a chance of a big laser opener,
> Ever getting hit at all by the slow as fuck statues

So the legends were true after all

The patch is a less shit PC.

Dark Souls comparisons are fair. If you die you lose all currency, and can gain it back by going back to the spot you died. You also get a several powers that you can choose. Each is unique, and you can only use one. If you die though your power stays where you died. You can get your power back at the shrines(like bonfires) but you lose all currency that you lost at your place of death. The difficulty is hard, and you should expect to die. Bosses can be pretty difficult too. Combat relies heavily on a mechanic that regains stamina through a queue that the game gives, and stances that change how combos can be executed. Just like the souls games the start menu gives access to your status, items, and equipment. Overall the entire game feels like you took Ninja Gaiden,Souls games,Onimusha, and mashed it together. It's bretty gud. If you don't like the souls games I advise you don't play this, and move on.
