Best far cry? Just finished 3 and wanna know where I should go next. Gimme pros and cons or some shit

Best far cry? Just finished 3 and wanna know where I should go next. Gimme pros and cons or some shit

first two are patrician tier
the series goes into a steep decline after that

Second one is trash tho.
First is kino until the second half due to bad ai on the mutants taking half your hp in 1 hit and taking a massive amount of punishment turning the game from a fun sneaking stealth game with pretty solid combat to dumping mags into enemies
4th is good if you like 3 nothing else to say
Primal is an interesting beast it never gets tediously repetitive, repetitive sure but not to where it's boring or annoying give it a shot

First game and its done from there. I have no idea how people love this shit now days because that crap aint far cry.

Oh fuck forgot about blood dragon play it

Every time I see a thread like this, I have to restrain myself from breaking my keyboard by typing out multiple tirades on the stupidity of this board's users. Look, I'm slipping down that path right now. Where should you go next? How about you play the rest of the fucking games in the series? Is that such an alien concept to you? Did it warrant wasting a second of my time looking at your post in the catalog, let alone the time I wasted typing this out?
Jesus fucking christ.

That's not nice why can't you just ignore his bread?

Repeated and compounded exposure slowly breaks down my will to resist calling someone who is stupid, stupid.

it was basically the only original one, the rest are just mods.

2nd is only trash if you're too fucking stupid to figure out that you can drive around outposts instead of driving through them and alerting every enemy.

Blood dragon. Best game you've never played.

Naw the game was the same thing over go here kill shit repeat. and over guns and fire was cool tho also to much brown it had more brown than India on taco Tuesday

Why not just set it so you don't see farcry breads?

>where I should go next
look at your keyboard and figure out what comes after the "3"

And go here, kill the guys then light the marijuana on fire is such a game changer? You're retarded.

Far Cry 2. The only people who thought it was repetitive were asshats that didn't get the setting and premise. The Jackal is a fantastic antagonist and the setting is one of the best in video games. I would seriously dig an enhanced edition with VR or something.

Blood Dragon is the best.

But I hope no Blood Dragon 2 because it'll massively suck, some gimmicks work only once.

I fucking hate newfags/epic baiting retards.

Yeah but it was the presentation alot more fun in your character getting higher and torchi.g the plants

user I'm from /vr/
Telle about the jackal without looking him up. Tell me about all those mercs and shit you help by going here killing s few guys repeat

Not going to spoil it for anyone but The Jackal is the man you were sent to kill, who catches you with your pants down (immediately upon arriving in the country after contracting malaria) and leaves you alive despite learning your intention, who is an arms dealer widely responsible for the civil war in the country, who thrives on the laws of the jungle and likes a good challenge.

Great premise, convincing voice actor and cool setting.

Huh it's like you almost only see him once and he never does anything directly to you for the entire game besides the start and ending.sfter the start it's help these guys for a while. Oh now help the guys you were killing
user I'vr beaten farcry 2 I don't think it's a bad game it's just repetive the mechanics are solid but coming off farcry 1 it's inferior also it's buggy as all hell

You don't have to be constantly encountering him for the atmosphere to be real. The tapes are enough, and the setting is enough.

If it ever seemed repetitive then you should have changed your weapon loadout, approached camps differently, never taken the same route to go back where you came, played on the hardest setting, etc. Mixing up the experience is on you.

>approached camps differently
Mind elaborating?
I switched my guns constantly.
>Never take the same route
half the game is corridors in the jungle
I always play on the hardest setting and I really tried I did beat it the ending was good also no regrets just was the journey that was lacking

Run in guns blazing
Stealth / sniper
Set whole place on fire
Enter camp through most geographically disadvantageous position on purpose
Come in, get out without a single shot fired
Brave it with zero pills left

Stuff like that.

4 is still a fun game, but the only decent character is Pagan Minh. He's better than Hoyt Volker, for sure. Looking back, he's nearly as fun as Vaas, just not as batshit crazy. He's just a better overarching villain.

Primal is a fun game, but the constant "uggalugga chug mug, goorash boagok" gibberish can be grating. Urki (Primal's take on Hurk) and Wogah are fun to deal with. The other tribes have some decent exposition to explain their worldviews, and the hallucination sequences are sometimes pretty awesome. I do like the animal riding more than land vehicles in 3/4, but I missed being able to fly.

I tried sniping but the AI is a tad omnipotent
Setting em on fire is fun a few times
Stealth is damn near impossible I find it almost as bad as unfanpatched farcry 1 to fix the ai
Melee is fun but impossible on infamous.
