Shitty rpg, mediocre as fuck game, very boring.

Well, according to Sup Forums 6 years ago, it was complete shit. Now that it's on the Switch, it's the best game ever.
That's probably because all the teenagers finished Zelda and Mario though, and since they've never played the game, it's mind-blowing.

Absolute shit. I can't comprehend how people like Bethesda games. They have one of the most clunky combat systems and awful animations in the industry and yet people continue to suck Todd's cock. It's been re-released over the past six years, and still crashes all the time even when patched with no mods. You only have to play the game to realize it's still not finished, but lol nvm 11/11/11
The modding community had to fix everything to make it even tolerable, especially the menus which are diabolically bad. It wasn't fit for release, yet they've kept churning it out and stupid fucks keep buying it.
And now it's on Switch, with no mods at all. OMG BETHESDA FUCK MY THROAT HARDER I CAN STILL FEEL MY HANDS

Just started playing it for the first time. Got to say, it's pretty fun. Most of the caves and dungeons however seem very samey. Plus the world seems very small.

Should I buy it during Black Friday? I doubt I'll sink a ton of hours into it, and I usually dislike sandbox games. But I do like games with variety in combat, comfy environments, and customizable builds.

Nothing to do once you get to around level 70.
They should have put some powerful daedra enemies and quests in. The master spells are shit as well. It's fun getting to a survivable level, quests are all a fucking drag though.

Mjoll, Sylgja, Lydia, and Jordis are all solid picks.

Can you even call it an rpg though?the map tells you exactly where to go, there is little depth to the classes, the dungeons are linear and impossible to get lost in, and within two hours you can find weapons to curb stomp pretty much anything that comes in your path

It's shit at nearly everything aside from lore.
The world in itself has a nice design too, it's just that nothing happens in it (where is the fucking civil war). And the cities are shit of course, as are the dungeons. However after playing BotW I actually appreciate that nearly every location has a little story to it.
Everything else has been said over and over again, the combat and the quests/characters/dialogues are fucking laughable.

I still can't entirely hate it because it's so mod-friendly. The porn is pretty good.

Take it easy user, while I agree some of the Bijin hairstyles are really bad looking the faces are worth it.

It's eurojank. Good exploration in an entirely handcrafted world, great roleplaying, good side quests and main quest. Everything else ranges from serviceable to genuinely bad.

Worth what exactly?

Some Skyrim settlements have nice little stories about them. Take Shor's Stone, a little mining town that gets infested with spiders. Once you kill the spiders and take the ore sample back to the Riften potion maker to be analzyed you can learn that Shor's Stone uncovered an Ebony deposit when they are supposed to be Iron. Shor is the Nordic aspect of the dead god Lorkhan and Ebony is associated with him. Sure it's not super enthralling, but that kind of stuff is pretty cool to me.

They did. They are in the DLC, mostly Dragonborn. There's one that you can't even start until you are level 80. They did this mostly because this was when the level cap was effectively removed. In the original release the base game level cap was 81 and most people where not going to go to the effort of maxing every single skill in the game, especially ones like pickpocket and speechcraft, so most people topped out at around 50 and that's the level were most of the content in the base game tops out too.

In my opinion, maybe. But lore has the chance of attracting general TES fans that frame the lore of Skyrim into the grand scheme of the Tamriel lore. TES lore threads are literally the best threads on Sup Forums when they are present. 99% of this abortion of a board is people acting like fucking idiots for no reason and TES threads are a beacon of light in an otherwise worthless cesspool of morons.
