full control over party members
remove the forced ending with aegis and let the player choose who they wanna die with at the end instead of forcing you through new game+ for it
P3P
Full control over party members + the game being rebalanced so this doesn't make it even easier than it already is, ala P3P.
I so want it to be inevitable.
I'd like tartarus to be more u interesting, like the P5 dungeons. Japanese voices would also be nice. I hope that being possible in P5 will set a trend.
If you think it's inevitable because of those hd models in DAN then here's a reminder that p4 had it for a long time and as you can see, there's no remake
Make equipped armor visible on the player model
>bro lets do that and take out half the dialogue because lol mai waifu is actually fuka
P3P is cancer.
Just let me choose inherited skills FUCK.
Add social link benefits like in 5, full control of party (along with enemy AI rebalance to accommodate it), spice up Tartarus so that there are puzzles and more floor variety, armor shows up on characters, more voice acting, more side activities and things to do at night, and maybe change of some of the SLs for the ones from P3P. Keep everything else the same as it was in FES plus visual update. Easily becomes the best Persona game in the series.
Oh, and The quality of life improvements from 5 should become the norm.
the fuck? im not saying re-write the aegis centric nature of the game, im saying just let the player choose in a first run who they want to spend time at the end with rather than making them go through the game again to get the chance to.
it was fucking stupid that when playing as a female protag, they still force you to end with aegis.
also fuuka is fucking garbage, my waifu is shinjiro
Fix Tartarus.
I refuse to play P3 again if i'm going to grind through this shit.
That's a very important plot point in The Answer, which has importance leading into the arena games stories. They shouldn't fuck up all continuity just so you can see your waifu holding you
>Atlus wasting time on a unnecessary P3 Remake instead of working on a brand new P6 or a new IP
Persona 3 already was remade you retard
the boring and monotonous dungeon crawling.
Admitting she's canon
female protag was never canon so what was the point of forcing aegis in there? thats my complaint here.
NO, YOU MUST BE LYING
>expecting P6 anytime soon
Now that they got new assets for P5 they will re-use it literally everywhere in every possible remake.
i still have hope she'll be a secret character in the dancing spinoff
Because she inherits your wild card potential she uses in The Answer?
female protag was never in the answer
Tarturus needs to be fixed obviously, Full Moon Missions could be expanded, and making Aegis vanish during the entire month of December needs to be reduced for like a week so people who use her in their main party don't get fucked, unless they implement P5's shared EXP.
People who complain about the battle system are brainlets, either keep it or completely rebalance the entire game since P3P shows that slaping on full player control doesn't fucking work for P3.
the point of the her was to just play the exact same role as the male protag, but as a girl. She did nothing that actually changes the main of events and plot points of 3 and experiences the same fate he does. This is why it makes no sense why she's not considered canon especially when they can easily squeeze her in to the extra room that's in the dorm as if she was always there and they where completely fine retooling P4 stories to make Marie and the golden canon
Well Margaret says in P4 that Liz left the Velvet Room to save a boy. And PQ, The Answer, and Arena all explicitly show the male MC. So it's a canon male MC by any sense of the word. I guess you could say that all of those things could be true in alternate universes of all of those games, but that's not what canon means
and in that alternate universe the answer still happens but with the girl and thats why they pushed Aegis on her is what i'm getting at basically.
>reuse assets from p5 and the dancing game to make an easy remake
or
>spend double the time making a new game
It would probably sells just as much for less effort.
I wasn't being clear with my intentions. The change to have different characters in the final scene in p3p is dumb by itself, it the final speech tied everything together well and the only character it worked with was with aigis, but since p3p wanted fan service for retard waifufags the only way they tried to make it work was with cutting half of the dialogue out and keeping the rest practically the same.
Also, don't get me wrong, fuuka is the worst of the maincast girls i'm a mitsuru guy.
>Fuuka
>worse than Yukari
You've got to be kidding me
>those shitty development cutscenes with the lame brained bully character
>the voice actress
>fuuka is the worst of the maincast girls
Atleast Fuuka is cute.
Being able to be just friends with girls
Being able to do more stuff with them after S.Link is maxed.
More dates in general.
Being able to pick which girl is with you at the end.
Being ablr to see which skills do what at any time
Skill inheritance being manual.
Don't be mean, Fuuka has never wronged anyone.
>this much hate towards Fuuka
Why? she's extremely sweet and does many things to aid SEES, her voice doesn't take away or negate her good actions.
>the voice actress
There's literally nothing wrong with the Japanese voice actress
These are all good ideas. I would like to add the the male party member SLs from P3P should be included (or write new ones), even if they have to remove some old SLs. Also, the option to be friends with female SLs rather than romancing it. You should still be able to be a cheating cunt if you want, though. I'd add "rewrite the plot" to the list but that is probably asking too much, though they could at least spice things up for the first six boring months.
i wonder how her english VA got her job.
This and make shadows to be demons now, with the exception of the moon bosses/tartarus bosses
>the game being rebalanced
You didn't play Maniacs mode. Hard increased stats, but Maniacs improved AI
Here's what I like to see
>Keep AI controlled party members but add a FF12 like Gambit system along side the tatics system to limit ai stupidity
>Swapping equipment through the menu instead of talking to them
>Faster animations like P5 fast
>No more THOU ART I everytime you level up a SL
>Every 10 or so floors there's an actual dungeon same for full moon events.
>Option to friend zone the girls
>Add in the P3P extra content
>You can pick what skills your party gets instead of it being predetermined
>A way to get more skills for the party like in Golden
>Make the Elizabeth fight not rng garbage
>You can pick what abilities your fused persona gets but inheritance is stricter to balance it out
>More super bosses and a another dungeon
>Duel audio
She is canon, user. Read the SMT IV: A dlc Lore 1 in the "Notes" section.
The Megaten franchise is in a multiverse. All good and bad endings are canon.
Put in FeMC, redo some of the slinks of male MC (like moon). Make tartarus less floors but more interesting. Full party control. Less OP items that you get after each tartarus boss floor. Especially homunculi which felt stupid because it make instantkill moves obsolete, make allies catch the bullet instead. Manual inheritance selection. Built in fusion chart to make it easier for new players to understand how fusion works, elizabeth requests less retarded, make dates with maxed out girls more useful.
Except the persona games we play will never be in that universe, all of the games afterwards have refereed to the mc as a male.
"SMT if" ties into Persona 1
Game doesn't really need a remake, but if it ever gets one it need to fix the trash pacing and maybe add the ability to tell Junpei to shut the fuck up when he's acting like a little bitch to MC.
And persona 2 says fuck off to the smtverse and creates its own personaverse.
But they all exist together in different universes.
Add in that Dark and Light get damage spells like in 1/2/5.
Source? True demons don't even exist in the personaverse anymore.
An actual story
Make the characters interesting
More dialogues for the npc
Better fights
Actual dungeons and none of that shitty p5 lecel design
Something better to hype you for the final than the final boss himself telling you how strong and invincible he is.
Persona 2 only retconned Innocent Sin, but P1 and SMT If still happened.
I'm talking about the Megaten multiverse here, not single universes.
persona 4 had a remake on the vita bro
Not a remake
They asked if people wanted a p3 remake in a poll, no one expected a p4 remake because golden is pretty recent, p3 is over 10 years old. Its not just character models but locations as well, p4 dan locations were completely different while the p5 and p3 seem to just be copying locations from the main game, places like kamoshidas castle, so its a reasonable expectation that lots of story locations will appear.
>only retconned Innocent Sin,
Where are the demons or proof that the new universe is connected to the mamala network?
>Ikutsuki social link at night
>Redone Hd cutscenes
>Fuuka voice from p4au
>The music shops now sells bgm of the game and old ost as well. You can play these song trough a new mp3-like interface in the main menu
>Ikutsuki has a social link at night
>Inheritable skills can be chosen when fusing a new persona
>There is no skill section in the menu. You can use the skills directly from the persona section and check the type and the description of that spell during battle
>Include both femc story and the answer
I hope it's gonna happen but atlus will sure fuck it up badly.
>true demons
Its hard to call them that, just like persona they aren't actual demons but formed from human thoughts to resemble demons.
>wanted a p3 remake in a poll,
That's bullshit. They also asked if people were interested in a Persona board game so I guess that means P3 board game is pretty much confirmed.
The weebshit
The fact that it should be a P1+2 remake instead.
I'd never go back to 3/4 even with a graphical overhaul, because those Shadow blob monsters fucking suck compared to real demons, and the dungeons can't compare to real handcrafted ones.
And? It is still the truth, they also asked for a p3 dancing game, p5 dancing game and pq 2, all of those have came true, it would be dumb not for them to do a remake, looking at kamoshidas castle in the dancing trialer it looks like it was straight up copied and pasted from p5 and they just changed the lighting, if they are making p3 locations they could do the same thing, with the models and locations done, the engine used for p5, other assets from p5, lots of the effort is already done, I would be more surprised if they didn't make it.
>I'd never go back to 3/4 even with a graphical overhaul, because those Shadow blob monsters fucking suck compared to real demons, and the dungeons can't compare to real handcrafted ones.
Thats the point of a remake.
>game empahtizes jung's philosophy by making shadow the main enemy of the game
>HURR DURR THEY SUCK WHY NOT INCLUDE DEMONS
No its not they have never asked if people wanted a P3 remake, ever. It was just a dumb poll asking if people were interested in remake, spinoffs or a fucking boardgame.
>muh it would be dumb
Just like not making a p4 when they've had the HD models sitting there for ages, right?
P3fags are fucking insufferable lying cunts.
P4 only had character models, p3 has the locations as well, which includes all of the textures and models, p4 also had a recent rerelease.
This desu.
The game is already good as it is, even an hd remaster with some minor gameokay improvements would suffice.
Don't be silly user. Persona is just a visual novel dating sim. All that Jung and Memento Mori crap is for fags while the real fans shitpost about our favorite waifu
Waifufags unuronically think like this
A remake still wouldn't get rid of Tartarus. I suppose they could replace the Shadows for demons, but P1 and 2 already have that, and would benefit a whole lot more from a remake. I'm saying this while Persona 3 is my favorite game in all of SMT.
Oh fuck right off, the game's themes are not an excuse to have boring, bland enemies. They could've still made cool designs, but they didn't want to put that much effort into stuff the player would never get to use. That's all there is to it.
A p1/p2 remake would take more than double the work of a p3 remake and sell less, p5 still has the same calendar and social system as p3 so it would be easy to make it on the p5 engine without many adjustments needed, p1/p2 are completely different, add on the assets from the dancing games and a p3 remake is just a lot more likely.
>He doesn't like constantly fighting palette swapped Hull Hogans and tables
Of course it is. That's just another reason I'm opposed to easy to make, cashgrab remakes. There are usually games that would benefit far more from one, and expose a whole new audience to a story/characters they're unlikely to have experienced.
I don't think we were discussing the probability of them happening, P1/2 isn't happening any time soon, unfortunately.
>le abstract enemy design
Reminds me of SH2 when I though I was fighting a door but it was actually a fucking bed.
I spent years wondering what the fuck did a door had to do with rape.
Its possible, it was an option on a poll, they didn't have a p4 remake option, so as of now a p1/2 remake is more likely than p4 remake.
P4 is already perfect, gimme dat sweet HD Eikichi
Honestly pretty much this.
All I really want is everything that P3P was but with updated graphics, HD cut scenes, world hub, and The Answer. However, I'd love to see The Answer get remade to include a version for FeMC if you played as her. I'm not sure who'd be the "Yukari" in FeMC's story though. Maybe Akihiko since a big portion of his SL with FeMC was him being afraid that he wouldn't be able to protect her like he couldn't protect his sister.
Aigis' entire role at the end of P3 was to show her developing human emotions and becoming her own person instead of seeing herself as just a Anti-Shadow weapon. The Answer just created an arbitrary reason for them to fight over what they could use the key over.
It's a bit more than that. MC's persona Orpheus and the ability of the wild card passed on to Aigis after his death too. Anyone else being the last person to be with him would contradict that
make December much more entertaining
yukari and mitsuru need to get MARRIED
i'm just really excited by the idea of a rearranged soundtrack
youtube.com
In January right now is Odin still viable? T.lvl 78 player
What major flaws it has can't be fixed without completely changing the game to the point that it would be more of a re-imagining than a remake and its minor flaws are not so bad that they require a remake to fix. With that in mind, they shouldn't waste time remaking it and should instead either make a new MegaTen entry in some other spin-off or remake a game that could actually stand to gain from it, like SMT1.
I'd still prefer 5 unless they made the plot interesting before the last 8 hours of the game, which would be difficult to do without completely changing the structure of the game, made the party feel less bloated, which is more feasible but would still require a lot of changes, and if the S. Links were completely redone with a couple of exceptions so that they aren't the dullest side stories imaginable.
honestly I feel if they tried to redo persona 3 they'd make it more like P4 and 5, which is worrying. What I liked most about P3 is that it never forced you into anything besides a few mandated cutscenes and story events. It rarely takes days off you were you cant do anything and unlike Persona 4, it never takes whole days off you so you cant do anything. I feel as a player, you got a lot more control over the game.
Just adjust the AI a bit for the party and maybe redub some of the lines and you'd be set honestly
Have the choice to pick the old soundtrack or a new soundtrack
Because there's barely anything happening. I'd take less 'freedom' over 30 hours of 'character exposition' and zero plot advancement.
>It rarely takes days off you were you cant do anything and unlike Persona 4, it never takes whole days off you so you cant do anything. I feel as a player, you got a lot more control over the game.
It would just skip days like when you go to summer school instead, which bothered me even more. People complain about the way P5 does it, and I don't like how forced you are to do this or that there either, but I much prefer it to just being robbed of 10 days or so for no good reason.
More plot advancement happens in p3 than any other modern persona game, p4 fills it with social events that don't actually advance the plot, just fill the time, p5 is just repeating the same stuff ad nauseum.
that's true I guess, and there is the whole of December being barren of anything
>repeating the same stuff
Like climbing the same old dungeon without a reason other than it must be somewhat related to shadows? At least in the other games you are busy saving people.
Saving people which doesn't advance the plot, in p4 they make no progress in the investigation until nanako is kidnapped, the only form of advancing the plot is learning slightly more about the killer, at least in p3 there are the full moons, you learn about the villains, the kirijo group and the dark hour, there are the full moon shadows, each character has an arc and they affect the story more than the characters of p4 or p5.
Almost nothing happens in the plot of P3. You just have your set up and no developments in it are made until Ikutsuki betrays you at whihc point it begins to move along very, very slowly. P4 is similar where no progress is made in the investigation until after Nanako is kidnapped, but it feels more like the appeal of the writing was those social events than the plot, with the murder mystery just being a background to allow these social events to happen. It's still poorly paced, but it feels more like its aware of that and makes the most of it than P3, which just had nothing going on. P5 always had stuff happening, it just never had an overarching scheme introduced until the end so nothing happened with regards to an overarching plot, just stuff with regards to the situation at hand, while just dripfeeding the overarching plot to you. I know some people don't like that because it feels like the game is going nowhere, but I though that it suited the Calendar system much better. P3 and 4 felt like they had a destination that they were taking an eternity to get to, P5 felt like it had no destination and as such I didn't worry about where it was going and could concern myself more with where it was at at any given moment.
let me marry shinjiro in real life
They do learn more and more information about the killer and his modus operandi. That's how mysteries work, user.
I actually think the more recent Persona/SMT titles give you way too much control over fusion. It often ends up with hours of you dominating everything without tactics because your Mothman has its immunes covered and every elemental attack to spam.
I like how Persona does it where there are some preset skills and the rest of the slots are free for you to set as you please, the way SMT does it now where you can just give any Demon and skillset is a bit much, though.
But even then you have easily obtainable skill cards to craft exactly what you want.
The P3 method of spamming the fusion menu until the forecast showed viable skills wasn't ideal either. Maybe make it with universal rules like two elemental attacks only, two passive traits only, unique skills stay within the arcana/demon race, etc.
