MXM shutting down after being only months active

>There is no easy way to say this, but regretfully, we will be discontinuing our service for MXM, with the final day of the game’s life to be January 31. Deciding to close the game is not a decision we come to lightly, but ultimately it came down to a matter of business—we explored several options, but none of them were sustainable. We truly believe that MXM is special, and offered a lot of new ideas to change up the MOBA genre, but in trying to carve out a niche for itself, we failed to connect with players.

Even though I only played a little bit of it I thought it was fun. It's kinda heart breaking.

Also is it possible to rip this game before it's shut down and make a private server out of this? Bumping this hard.

I've never even heard of this shit. Maybe they should focus on their advertisement next time.

>NCSoft

>Grandpa can't keep up with the times

They advertised the fuck out of it during launch. Famous streamers played it, they did behind the scenes shit on their Youtube. Even after launch advertisements were everywhere.

It's a good game but the oversaturation of MOBA's killed it. But it wasn't point-and-click like the rest it was more actiony.

"famous streamers" huh? Well, whatever. It's dead now so they failed somewhere.

>during launch.
they should take some lessons from kojima. The guy starts advertizing before he even knows which company he is working for

They've been hyping the game before it was released. The game died because too many moba games that's all. People are already playing the holy trinity of mobas (hots, league, dota2)

never heard of it

So so fucking happy to see this game fall, jesus Christ. I'm so hard right now

I wish triple AAA games would do the same

>Statesman kills another game
He cant keep getting away with this

what the fuck is MXM

The only way that's happening soon is if there's a leak at Nexon. Otherwise it will take years to make something that emulate's the server. Given that the game is already dead, I doubt there's any interest in doing that.

lol, I love how personally you're taking this. they did themselves a disservice as I've never heard of this shit either. your social media presence is of the utmost importance nowadays and I see ads for Chinese knockoff garbage all the time and never once this. failed.

>lol, I love how personally you're taking this

Why would I take this personally? I'm posting anonymously and I don't even know who you are.

was there anything unique about it?

i really dont believe it when a developer or publisher says that
>it offered a lot of new ideas to change up the MOBA genre

Apparently every player had 2 characters that could tag in and out during the game.

Of course NCSoft would shut it down. They'll let wildstar run till the end of time to avoid looking like idiots but anything with city of heroes stuff in it gets 2 seconds to succeed or instant closed.

>Tag-team
Oh please, Dota 2 has more unique modes of play due to Valve releasing the fucking editor

>famous streamers
like who? i never heard of the game until now and at first glance your image looks straight out of LoL.

anti-censorship fags win again

it was pretty shitty though, it didn't help that all characters were from their Korean titles either

>Why would I take this personally? I'm posting anonymously
That's a very conspicuous reference to how your identity doesn't matter, user.

What is this?

>wew look at me I'm a master of psychology

Is this the shit game that night back the corpse of the statesman for shilling purposes instead of just running CoH again
