Anyone played this? Is it gudd?
I have 300 hours in CoH (still shit at it) and this looks similar, it's kind of expensive though and you can't really tell if an RTS is shit or not in the 2 hours steam refund window.

Really good multiplayer garbage campaign.
I don't think I played more than five minutes of CoH singleplayer so that's gucci.
i kinda regret buying it flanking sucks since the game tells you that shit is happening and AT just fucks shit up so hard.
Only strat everyone has is send a spotter up and mortar to attack since a stray bullet causes even the most harden infantry to panic which is boring
So you're saying I stould buy Hearts of Iron instead?
Buy Wargame Red Dragon instead, same devs, similar gameplay, more content, more interesting setting.
Wargame red dragon is better
WW2 is boring
is anyone even still playing that
>WW2 is boring
kys
760 in Red Dragon right now compared to the 570 in Steel Division.
Normandy is boring. Dev head history guy said that he would love to do a Burma setting, if they make a sequel set there then that would be interesting.
why do truck disappear after getting men outside? what happens to them
It plays nothing, NOTHING like Company of Heroes.
Wow another game with shermans and panzer ivs and t-34s (this game doesn't even have the eastern front).
Though I should say I only think its boring from a game perspective. I don't mind books, tv shows, actual history etc.
The idea is that once trucks unload their troops they're no longer needed on the battlefield and they leave. The real reason is that in the previous games the trucks didn't disappear, and so what players did was suicide them toward the frontline and see where the enemies fired from, not to mention soak up enemy AT missiles.
Huh, neat. I haven't really touched the games since /wgg/ died
What are some games that do? CoH 2 sucks cock.
Dawn of War?
Get Wargame Red Dragon. the MP community is on life support for both games anyways, might as well play the better one.
Its pretty good OP, if youve ever played the Wargame series, its like that with a few quality of life/gameplay changes. For example you can issue commands during the deployment phase or hold a button down to see what a units LoS is. Planes aren't nearly as devestating as in RD because youre limited by the phases.
Its very much a tactical game, focused on Division level combat(as the name implies). If you prefer Strategic combat I reccomend HoI or any of the million grid based WW2 games.
The devs are still supporting it as well. It recently got an attack/defense mode for 1v1 and 2v2, with more missions and units being added in at a respectable rate.
Single player does suck though.
This has nothing to do with company of heroes.
If you want company of heroes style rts try Panzers Phase one/two
Forgot to mention, it does play similar to CoH in a lot of ways. Units move as squads, tanks are more likely to be destroyed from the side or rear, infantry gain cover and can be suppressed/panicked or pinned. Units will also surrender if theyre pinned and an enemy unit gets near them(unless you have a command unit nearby). Each of the divisions has a different roster and different amounts of availability.
The biggest break from CoH is that instead of building bases, you choose a Division and build a deck out of a number of unit cards before the game and call them in using points during the actual game.
Pretty good multiplayer.
Plagued by cheesy shit though (mostly on the allied side)
but coh1 has one of the best campaigns ever made.
that's not even counting the fact that the expacs have german campaigns.
Meh.
Ended up buying Men of War 2 Assault Squad.
