Their early work was a little too clunky for my taste, but when Demon's Souls came out in '09, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.
The whole game has a well crafted, ingenious level design, and a new dynamic combat system that really gives the encounters a big boost. It's been compared to Dark Souls, but I think Demon's has a far more grim and refined atmosphere.
In '15 From released this; Bloodborne, their most accomplished game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Ludwig the Accursed", a boss so engaging, most people don't listen to the dialogue. But they should! Because it's not just an extremely relevant and historic character in the lore, it's also a paradigm of the theme of duality between righteous saint and bloodthirsty beast in men! Hey Paul!

The AC games were easily From's worst early work. Yearly released alright games that could have been way better, had they not made so many so quickly.

I still do not understand, DaS is like the Ocarina of Time of Souls games, just because it was the first one to solidify a formula it doesn't make it the best. It still has Izalith, the Bed of Chaos, the lower part of Blighttown and the Demon Ruins.
DeS, DAS and BB are excellent games and all have their own merits
DaS2 and DaS3 are inferior and useless additions to the series.
Every Souls game has bad parts. DeS has 5-2 and a ton of bad bosses, DaS2 has Iron Keep and Frozen Wastelands (and more if you ask me), BB has Yahargul and Micolash, and DaS3 has the swamp and the first DLC.
Also what's wrong with lower Blighttown? At least you have the Rusted Iron ring in that game.

Ludwig is probably the most overrated boss of all time.
Micolash is the literal worst boss in the series. It's funny the first time you fight him. Every subsequent attempt or playthrough is cancer.
