I did it Sup Forums

I did it Sup Forums.

What now?

these were $5 each today. I contemplated getting one but I don't see the point.

Kill yourself?

now you can shitpost on Sup Forums instead of playing VIDEO GAMES

Have fun playing games by yourself in a different room in the house?

why is your hand white

Stick it to the TV and play shit you can play with a controller
I downloaded VVVVVV and Transistor from my backlog just so i can relax on the sofa and enjoy games

I recently got one when they had the 1$ promotion. I opened it and unpacked it and went "what the fuck am I gonna use this for"

Don't get it unless you know you need it

>unironically living in Texas

walk into the sea

Low taxes? Or is that just a meme

>LULUUL I SEE UR LANYARD XD XD

was going to pick one up but shipping was 8$. fuck that.

>wearing a lanyard
why?

Why did you even buy it if you didn't need it? I use it to stream my PC to our outside party room for jackbox and shit. Works great. You can also use it give an old laptop HDMI output if you connect it directly to the laptop with an ethernet cord.

Also, the 5v power plug that comes with it is worth more than $5 by itself. It's actually cheaper to buy a Steam Link than to buy a 5v power cord at this price.

How much do you need to pay for the shipment?
Did anyone hack it to do something cool already?

shipping is 7.99$, and if you live in Washington state, 10% tax too.

Not him, but my kechain has to be as large as possible or I'll constantly lose them because i'm a colossal imbecile

Not interested. Only slightly better than running a long HDMI cable, and much more unwieldy.

I think cloud streaming of games is the future; a cheap box that works with PS Now and GeForce NOW (and maybe also had netflix etc) would be interesting to me.

>I think cloud streaming of games is the future

retract this statement immediately and crawl back into your own ass

I bought it because I hope some time in the future I too have enough space/monitors to utilize it as intended as well.

In Poland, it's over 2x the price of the device, so I pass on this promo. Thanks for telling me, now I can compare the prices.

>I think cloud streaming of games is the future

I played through all of The Last of Us for the first time with Now, and I'm playing some Uncharted 1 currently. Thinking of picking up a PS4 controller, because most of the PS4 games on the service don't seem to work with my 360 pad.

I never had a single stutter or glitch playing the main TLOU game. Left Behind strangely had a couple of split-second hiccups, but nothing that bothered me. You quickly forget it's streaming and just enjoy the game.

Granted, I did find aiming harder than I usually do and the latency may have played a part in that. It's hard to tell, since I don't have a PS3 to compare with. Either way, I'm happy to play more games like this.

Have you actually tried it? You don't have to take a risk buying individual games, you can just play the start of them netflix-style and keep playing if you enjoy it. And you don't have to search for disks/wait for installs/let it update/etc.

pointless
i bought one on craigslist for $20 like 2 years ago and barely used it

input lag sucks shit for anything in real time

rather just put hook my pc into the tv

>2017 not using your smart tv as a remote external monitor to mirror your pc.

I just had that thought when in the cart about to buy it. I swear there were games I've come across in the past where I reall wished I could play it on the big screen but I can't bring them to mind at the moment.

It also only does 1080p 60hz + input lag of streaming. Still ordered it though, I wanna see how it looks on the 4K tv, the built in upscaler still does great work with regular TV and blurays

kek
I was going to post this

I got one
Gonna use it to stream stuff I have on my computer and it will let my brother play some of my games in the main room

WHAT DO THESE THINGS EVEN DO?

>jackbox and shit.
This looks pretty cool. Anything else like that you'd recommend? Seems like a good use for one.

>2017
>being this much of a faggot

Works well for emulators too, I keep my pc in whole an another room and I use it for Mario Party to Mario Kart when guest are over.

I just finish Mario Sunshine on dolphin over Steam Link.
I didn't notice any real lag

I would assume any USB controller works with it? so I could be an autist and use USB SNES, etc?

>buying a $40 hdmi cable

are you retarded or?

Unless you've got a big 60 inch 4k tv to play some comfy games that you can't reach with a typical hdmi you don't need it

>not buying a $40 HDMI cable for $5 plus Shipping and Handeling

>>not buying a $40 HDMI cable for $5 + 35$ for SnH

I just got a Steam Controller. Playing Nier Automata / third person games and 2d indie games isn't bad with it.

So are these mini PC consoles or just things that display your PC on a TV?

things that display pc on tv

nothing, its literal trash for pcmeme bros

basically this is only useful if you have a desktop and want to link it up to you giant tv in the other room? It is basically a long HDMI cable?

>unironically living anywhere else

L M A O

enjoy getting cucked by taxes bro

>that low test soyboy hand

better to be a soyboy than incel :^)
