Is this worth getting at $12.99 ?

is this worth getting at $12.99 ?

yes

yes, buy the characters with fm

what does fm mean ? and are the characters not free like in smash ?

got it for free and I still feel ripped off

Fight money, it's the game currency. You can get every character for free, if you suck at getting it there's a certain way to get it easy on the PC version

No.

no.

Yes. If you're impatient, you can buy the Season Passes and it'll just be like buying a full price game

there's an exploit to get infinite fight money. I don't know if it still works though. if not you have to earn the money to buy the DLC characters (or spend real money) but it comes fast enough. they costumes are where they try to jew you, not the characters. the characters don't cost much.

If you want to play a good fightan game buy Tekken 7, SF V is trash.

if you are looking for instant gratification and low difficulty, then you won't enjoy SF5

I bought it recenlty, what should I do to get all the characters easily?

i think capcom can detect the trainers at this point

honestly though, you will get 13 bucks of enjoyment out of this game just unga mashing with ryu or nash. it's not really a great game, but it's pretty fun.

>Shitken good

>already has one foot in the grave
>people dropping like flies
>new characters designed for people with IQ's of less than 10
>braindead comeback mechanics
>rage drives are unbalanced. Some characters get amazing ones, some get ones that are useless
>one button supers (lol)
>simplified or removed every mechanic that made tekken a fun and complex fighter
>changed returning characters so that the most effective way to play them is ridiculously straightforward and boring
>2 (two) dlc characters coming in over a year
>2 (two) stages coming in over a year
>the game LITERALLY boosts your ranks automatically when you hit certain ranks
>infinite revenge match completely destroys the point of playing ranked in the first place
>player match and tournament mode both broken
>matchmaking broken for the first month
>worse customization mode than tag2
>veteran characters removed for generic waifushit
>terrible story mode
>less offline modes than tag2
>general unbalance in regards to how each character is played. Doing df2, df1B4 into deathfist as paul does more damage than Lee's most complex juggles. CH ff4,2 into airgrab as Gigas does more damage than 5 electrics.
>has the most input lag out of every fighting game released this year
>loading screens make the game lag
>no crossplay
Hit vanquisher with 4 losses then quit. Dragon Ball FighterZ has everyone's attention. It's gonna steal 80% of this shit game's playerbase.

Why the fuck has no one recommended to wait for the arcade edition release? Y'know, the actual legitimate release of the game and not a fucking beta?

because you get it for free if you buy sf5 which is on sale for 12.99?

wouldnt surprise me if dbfz just kills the fighting game genre entirely
nobody will be able to make money cause everyone just gonna be playing dbfz

>wait for arcade edition
>pay full price

>buy game now for 60% off
>get arcade upgrade for free

really makes me think

sf5 is fucking garbage so no

very good price for a good fighting game

So what’s your rank namefag?

i don't remember

it's not like it matters, some professionals are silver. ranks are just there to determine popularity

Sick dodge bro, I’d say play me but you’d duck

absolutely more than worth it. i play the game every day, theres a big population due to crossplay and tons of free shit you can get by playing, even the characters and stages. 13$ for this shit is a fucking steal.

>this vappa diaperpost

No, wait for the Arcade Edition to go on sale in next year's Black Friday. Even more content for less money, and due to the way FM works, the more characters means the more FM you can gain which means the more free shit you can earn.

what

were you here two weeks ago when my game froze in the middle of casual and my internet magically died for four hours? i have no reason not to play you,

You only get the season 1 and 2 characters if you buy arcade edition. The free update is only for everything else.

Post CFN then namefag

No, it takes 40 minutes to find a match. The game is dead.

Well you do get 12 dlc characters. I feel like I'd rather have the base game at 12 dollars than pay 28 more for all the characters. You're gonna be maining one or two dudes anyways, you don't need everyone. And FM comes fast enough that you'll easily be able to afford a handful of dlc characters within a week of playing.

all the demonstrations, all the character stories, the general story, trials, easy survival on everyone. You get a huge windfall of FM when you first start out but then its going to be slim pickings.

I wasn't a fan of it in the beta so I never got it, but it is definitely worth it at that price if you want to try out what a fighting game is like.

Wait can they? Should I go ahead and use a trainer on a different account?

also I should add that the game is absolutely worth it. Its gets shit on by almost everyone and for good reason since capcom is constantly a pr disaster with the shit release, late updates and the whole rootkit fiasco. But I have so much fun every time I play it, even almost two years later.

Just don't expect to be easy despite all the people on Sup Forums who haven't played it running their gob about how casual it is. Game is hard.

On Humble Store the Deluxe Edition (base game + Season 1 and 2) is $40 -- same price as the upcoming Arcade Edition.

So, you get a month and change of practice with SFV and the upcoming free update for the same price.

I bought this game a few months after launch on a big sale and got the season 1 character pass. If I want to pay for season 2 characters, should I do it now or wait until the AE update?

Adding to this, I don't have good online connection and play locals much more often.

Still waiting bb
>inb4 muh internet died again

>literally get my computer raided by anonymous hackers for no reason during sfv discussion
>clamor on about how afraid i am instead of contacting the people in my friend's list to find out who i am

Quack

>I’m not scared to play you
>do you know who I am? go talk to my friends I’m not gonna play you.
Really makes ya think

>wants me to post cfn
>still haven't given any reason to
>no lobby, no server, no game
>didn't even post his own

Are you fucking twelve? I'm not attracted to kids, just so you know.

Do you have the handshake symbol on your profile? Apparently, the system to exclude/penalize ragequitters, is inadvertently penalizing new players, by excluding them from the majority of matchmaking.

>still no CFN
S C A R E D

I want to like Street Fighter, but why does it have the worst fucking netcode?

I've played a bunch of other fighters like GG, Tekken, Netherrealm crap, Killer Instinct, etc. and I've never lagged as much as I have had in SFV. Rollback netcode is fucking AIDS.

NO. when you finally get deep enough you realize fighting games are nothing more than rock paper scissors games

Which is silly because mvci has fantastic netcode. I wonder if they’ll switch it out come January

Fuck off El Capycom

Where are you seeing it on sale for $12.99? Shows $16 on the steam sale page and $20 on humble website

I have one, but I didn't know what i meant for the longest time.

what's the secret?

>pulls up fighter card
>hides rank

It depends on the game. There's lot of janken in Street Fighter V, but there's very little of it in King of Fighters XIII. I dunno about XIV, cause I haven't played it yet, but Tekken seems to have a little janken, but no so much as to ruin the gameplay.

Dead or Alive 5 has A LOT of janken, Marvel vs. Capcom obviously has a lot of it too. Arcsys games and Guilty Gear don't seem to have much of it at all.

There's a survival mode mod, but capcops could ban you, they were so mad about it that they placed a root kit for PC players but it's gone now. I heard if you ease up on it you could get away with it still. I never tried it because I got fm from all the modes and Capcom gave a bunch for free twice, one was from their anniversary week.

What did saucy mean by this?

the rank is more important than the player haha

As someone who has had 0 urge to pick it up in the past year: buy Xrd or T7 for $25.

>level 447
>ultra gold

>not even play
>still hiding CFN
C’mon now

I can probably do platinum but I'd need to concentrate and study a bunch of frame data. those fights are really tricky. Unless you just want to hamfist it and play until you play enough low level players to rank up, which could take hours.

you'd be a clown even if you were plat
if you play this game daily and you aren't AT LEAST ultra plat you are a fucking trash can

>0.00 respect

that doesn't make any sense

do you live in the suburbs where your only option to play other people is online?

>Still no Fucking Geese release
RAAAAAAAAAAAA

>announced a second DLC character before finishing the first one and it’s not even Kiryu
BASED HARADA AT IT AGAIN

>level 447

>No word of a new Soul Calibur game and its 20th anniversary was pachinko
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

No Sakura. I'll stick with IV.

You get points for playing the game and doing the weekly challenges. Survival mode is hard, but doable, and if you do both versions of the general story combined with character stories, you should have enough fight money left over to buy the entire roster one and a half times.

yes, google or something to see the exact values they look at

what a mesmerizing gif.

No because Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is only 4 dollars more expensive and like 10 times better.

Post cfn beta faggot

No, SFV is a horrible fighting game, the netcode sucks, and the battle design is horrible. It has the depth of a puddle and feels like you're moving in honey. It's not worth getting into at all especially when crossplay means you'll be playing wifi warriors on ps3/4 with one-way rollback.

...

you get all the characters with ae, you don't get the characters for free when ae comes out if you already own the game.

don't buy either sfv, it's shit.

>SFV
>PS3

...

baited

the larger monitor doesn't do 75hz

LOBBY WHERE

>wanna pick up SFV after not touching a single fightan in a decade because of R. Mika and Urien
>aware of all the shit surrounding the game since release
I'm conflicted.

fighting game brainlet here, why does SFV not hold a candle to other current fighting games

Just type your CFN out you fucking retarded soy based life form

sfv is legit bad. buy something else, all fighting games are half or almost half off with the steam sale

Does that say Cronus-SP?

get dat ass banned bitchass scrub

No. I'm creating an image to show why another game is much, much better than virgin fighter V, will post it in a while

What about USFIV?

it clearly says my cfn there.

Can you not read? C H R O N U S S P.

Do you need my date of birth? Date of virginity lost? First kiss?!

>145 hours in jive
>1387 hours in usf4
>friends with Redford
>ultra gold
lmaooo at this retarded namefag

A really shit game but in a completely different way from SFV. If you have local people to play with I guess but don't expect an active online community. There are more fighting games than whatever Capcom puts out.

what's wrong with |2edford?

Rainbow edition was the only time the game was balanced.

But now that you mention it, yes gimmie date of virginity lost

Are you a girl?

>First kiss?!
Yes as a matter of fact you do have to give me that.

Yes, i picked it up for 12brit fag moneys and it came with the season one characters. Its a nice wee time waster.
