all you even really fucking need at most is DFhack, it comes with the autolabour command so it's not like the rapist is even necessary.

Well the tilesets seem to work fine, so atleast I won't have to play with ASCII.

You have to keep in mind that, while the game can be incredibly deep, it's not "complex", it just have the most obtuse UI known to man.
You just need to get used to it.
