the thing is kodaka said he wants the fighting game to be made out of the company while this is hiring inside it.

Ideally following the V3 survivors, theres alot you can do with those 3 characters and a ton of set up possible for V3's fresh slate universe that wouldnt be possible in another killing game.

My concern is they would give shuuichi the boot and only make maki and himiko playable just so they can get a dumb despair girls title. I want the surviving trio to be a group no matter what damn it.

Well the v3 survivors are guarenteed to show up in any games set in that universe so a novel isnt super needed.

I feel like another episode is far more likely than a fighting game, not just cause it reads way more that they'd outsource it but also i really doubt they would use 3d graphics for it.
