NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT

NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT

what

>there will never be a team as hyped as NTH - envy ever again
why even play this shitty game any more?

Start with a salve, a clarity, a tango and a branch on Leshrac.

>no tidehunter
it was simplier time

How did this genre become dominant in e-sports when it's the most unwatchable nonsensical shit if you don't know the game and the meta? I don't understand.

Dendi sucks

Despite its flaws, it still has the right amount of learning curve where there's enough depth to be a truly competitive game without being too much of a turnoff for new people.

what is actually fun about playing Dota?

And lv1 stun

Because it doesn't actually take much understanding to see health bars and use that to understand the general momentum of a fight and doing so is a lot more engaging than seeing people running around shooting each other
It's by far clearer than something like CS with it having almost instant TTK and not being able to understand a damn thing if you don't know the map very well

this was the rosh bait play

Why is that a big deal? That seems pretty standard considering starting items. And what idiot doesn't get the stun first?

This. It's an opening almost as old as DotA itself.

People used to just get an additional clarity instead of a branch, so it was something innovative at the time.

It is not. the interesting thing about that game was that the dire baited the radiant by sending NP to die in the rosh pit. so radiant thought they fucked up their level 1 rosh kill and all went in the pit in an attempt to catch them.
But they got fucked

>It is not.

I know, that's what I said, it's not a big deal. Now if he went boots first, I'd call that an unorthodox opening, or wind lace bracer, but items in OP is standard safe strat.

What I'm saying is, nobody gives a fuck about leshrac's starting items. It was the rosh bait that was interesting about that game.
The "nobody has ever done that" comment was made by one of the casters in that game, which was interesting because even casters had no idea what the fuck was happening when NP was killed by roshan

It was just a situation where the branch, which seemed like the wrong choice at the time, just barely secured a kill in a situation where the additional clarity wouldn't have helped.

>There will never be an All-star team as hyped/skilled as Team DK ever again
And that is when I left Doto forever...

what the fuck is that 4 cores + venge draft

>make whats arguably one of the greatest games ever
>Absolutely ruin it by not region locking
>Then add a punishment system that actually gives people almost no incentive to not treat other people like garbage
>System encourages players to quit when your already losing players in droves
Fuck dota and fuck valve.

>Then add a punishment system that actually gives people almost no incentive to not treat other people like garbage
t. someone who's been in low prio since 2012

>It was the rosh bait that was interesting about that game.

I think the impressive part about that is how foolish Radiant is for actually falling for that. Regardless, Lesh's starting items weren't the best suited for whatever Dire had intended. He should've bought a magic stick, and tangos are just a waste of money there.

I honestly don’t know how to explain it. There is just a lot of room for you to be creative with your gameplay. I have tried to get into league a before because of friends but I just find it so mind numbingly boring. The map design is terrible. So little to do in lane and always the same lane compositions.

Dota is pretty much the opposite of this. Map designs use of high and low ground allows means that warding and vision becomes more important and allows for some more interesting gameplay mechanics (cliffing/phasing terrain). A ton of opportunities in lane, especially as a support. Can go ward, pull, stack, roam for kills or even just scout for vision. Also lane compositions vary quite a bit depending on the teams and the lineups.

I find that in dota there is a lot more room to outplay your opponents and make a comeback.

On-the-fly decision making. See what your opponents are doing, then build yourself to counter that, and fucking crush them.
