Freelancer.
Starsector.

Rebel Galaxy
You too, user. Thanks
To be fair I should have clarified, SS is an awesome game but if the combat isn't your cup of tea then you'll have to grind.
Most games in this thread are great though, have fun.
The best part of Stellaris is the opening hundred or so turns where discovering alien races, surveying planets for anomalies or following the trails of long-dead civilizations throughout the cosmos. Then it gets bogged down in a shitty mid-game and only really livens up again lategame..
Sounds like real life

Deep.
I can never get into Stellaris
I've never played any game like it and I found it hard.
Am I retarded
any reason this isn't on steam?
I sometimes find it dull to play if it isn't going my way, especially midgame.
But usually the music keeps me going through it and can get pretty cosy for through the night sessions
Dev refuses to put it there until it's finished. It has long development cycles so it'd hurt the game on the long run.
ah, fair enough
Is Everspace any good? I was going to get it when it came out of Early Access and went on sale, which happens to be right now
>if it isn't going my way
Steamrolling everything is the definition of dull.
good but they were kinda jews with the DLC coming out right after release.
DLC seems to be good, should have been in the core game though.
Everspace has only one thing to offer you and that's combat. If you don't like it's combat (which is somewhat like Freelancer's) then you're probably not going to like the game.
What a fucking terrible thing to tell anyone. because of how true it is
you know what I mean though, when the game is kicking the shit out of you the whole time and you can't catch a break
