Game of The Century
I want to be kidnapped by a cute Gerudo girl and secretly live in Gerudo town as a stay-at-home dad.
Pls no bully.

beyond amazing, actually

Odyssey is better
these threads are garbage consolewar bait but I'll post some of my own images anyway so at least there's OC for once.
I loved it so much. Weirdly my favourite place now is the Lost Forest with the comfy leaf bed.
...
WOW! look at all these places I can walk around and do nothing interesting in!
my favorite region is faorn, my favorite place overall is probably lurelin village. Here's a pic of lurelin I took earlier today.
...
you sound like a child that needs to be rewarded with something shiny every 5 seconds.
uhm wtf is that wind waker outset island???
what would constitute as 'something interesting' to you, then?
It is meant to only use red, green, and blue?
...
it's lurelin village, east of faron.
...
...
the attention to detail in this game is crazy, just 10 minutes ago I was riding around akkala during a storm with this guy and he stopped by a tree to say this
how many times have you made this thread
is this what it's like to have autism
...
WOW! look at this powefull console with no games and nothing to do in it!
>how many times have you made this thread
some people copied me, I am not the OP of all of them.
The switch isn't that powerful.
any screenshot requests?
When this is playable on 4k@60 with the graphic packs on PC next year hopefully, I'll replay it for sure.
Easily one of the best games I've ever played.
Wish I could see Hyrule from before the great calamity.
All those giant ruins and bridges, I wish I could see them at the height of civilization.
yeah bruh its great for screenshots, shame about the gameplay though
>any screenshot requests?
Rito Village
And you think purty pictures make a game good.
Stuff to actually do, explore caves, truly hidden secrets to find that aren't just more koroks or shrines, things that make tloz what it is.
if they could pull that off for the next game it'd legitimately be greatest game of all time, for a long long time.
the game is fun
>any screenshot requests?
more guardian fights
bonus point for laser parry
Im not talkin about the switch, user
I already have a couple
will post some next
>Stuff to actually do, explore caves, truly hidden secrets to find that aren't just more koroks or shrines, things that make tloz what it is.
it's true there aren't really caves in botw but there are secrets and plenty of [outdoor] things to explore
Why not? that's the only console relevant to this discussion.
>weapon durability
lol
and the 2nd one. I can take more if you like, especially if you're more specific.
your screenshots are all muddy shit
are you on the switch lol?
best screenshots are from CEMU, bitch
or learn what's the best light to take them
one of my first, didn't know you could hide the GUI yet
>there are secrets
Care to list them? the only actual one I can think of is satoru mountain. What is there to explore of your own choosing that is worthwhile?
Got anything with snow?
as you requested. Unfortunately I got no good pics of parrying. Just one bad one that I'll post after.
it's nowhere near as bad as people meme it out to be, trust me I have 200+ hours clocked into this game.
wii u but I can use cemu as well if someone requests it. I'm well aware what the best weather/lighting conditions are, some of these pics are just old or otherwise poorly captured.
Does the game have big, lush forests to get lost in? I love those
>Does the game have big, lush forests to get lost in? I love those
there's a labyrinth forest called Lost Woods
you literally get lost if you wander and get brought back to the entrance lol
You have the Lost Woods.
I thought that was a wonderful place.
youtube.com
Fuck off retard. Go and explore and find it yourself. Thats the joy.
ooh that's a good one
I have a bunch of the corrupted naydra fight if you like
there's treasure all over the place, but I'm guessing that's not what you're after. Can you be more specific over what you actually mean by "worthwhile" here? Worthwhile in what context?
there's a lot of forests in the game
That's what I thought.
>I have a bunch of the corrupted naydra fight if you like
Sure, anythings fine, really.
last guardian pic for now until someone requests it again.
Yeah there's a few. There's a fairly big one on the great plateau at the start of the game. There's a whole rainforest region, the spooky Lost Woods and other forests dotted around.
here ya go, I'll post 2 or 3 of them as I have a lot of this quest since you can only do it once.
...
Yes because I knew you're a shitposting retard. Any user here could happily name fucking TONS of secrets and cool shit to find and you'd sit there trying to pretend none of it is worthwhile. You're probably sitting there baffled as to why BotW is cleaning all the end year awards now right?
don't sperg out on him, there's a chance that they were genuinely asking...
here's a pretty standard forest
I did Nadyra last night,
I was so excited I forgot to take shots
actually did it twice because I fell like a moron from out-of-stamina
Why are even the most vibrant scenes from this game washed out? Is this that HDMI issue people said Wii Us had?
and here's faron jungle (my personal favorite region of the game), looks better in person; very hard to get good screenshots of it.
Is Sup Forums still salty about this game? Or is that a silly question? Feels like it's impossible to have a cival conversation about the game with it collapsing into a toxic hatefest.
What timeline is the game?
>Why are even the most vibrant scenes from this game washed out? Is this that HDMI issue people said Wii Us had?
yes.
pc fags actually wrote some shaders to add vibrance (saturation), but I honestly play it original because the pastel palette is comfy
...
Two reasons.
1) the Wii U can only do Limited Range output.
2) the Switch is set to Limited Range by default. Most Switch owners don't realise if you manually change it to FULL Range it is far more vibrant.
Being unable to keep a bear, skeleton horse, and deity horse at a stable is bullshit. Make a zoo or carnival to keep them at at least.
>What timeline is the game?
1000 years after Wind Waker, water retired, Hyrule flourished again, Ganon rose
1100 years after WW, Link awakens again and the game starts
if you mean my screenshots, then yes. These are taken from the wii u version and the wii u has a limited RGB range that is even worse in screenshots; the easiest way to tell the difference is to look at comparative footage of Bayonetta on 360 and Wii U and compare the difference. Having said that, if your screen is set up correctly when playing it'll look fine. The Switch also has limited RGB enabled by default I think but you can turn it off, some people make the mistake of leaving it on leading to washed-out footage there as well. I have no idea why they even have the option for it on Switch.
Sometimes certain weather conditions or different times of day also make it look more washed-out, I'll post 2 pics of the same scene but at different times of day so you can see what I mean.
there is definitely a lot of salt over the game from both sides of the coin.
After twilight princess.
Then why are there zora?
So far ahead it's on its own level but it shares aspects of both timelines so maybe they converge at some point.
...
>dat terrible grass aliasing
jesus man, this game is too good for the wii u
hop on cemu
and here's the same scene, only closer to night. It's generally agreed upon that the game looks nicer at sunrise or sunset. Not because of the orange sky that people seem to like seeing in general, but also because the game's colors look sharper and better at those times.
What are you trying to say?
I forgot about most stuff/locations already.
Not him but all these landmarks look very intersting like there is a story to them but it's a shitty shrine at best.
An exception are those riddles where you unlock a shrine, those were nice.
I don't get why people say that this game is boring and is just a rehash of other open-world games.
the thing is, BOTW takes the best elements of all of them and combines them in one amazing package.
Someone mentioned the insane amount of detail. Just take a look at this screenshot: I wanted to skip the rain, but couldn't find a building or cave nearby to light a campfire. So, I came up with this possible solution and... voila, it works! That's some Nintendo magic right there.
GOTY or BTFO
>B-BUT SONY
evri tiem
I think that's more because the aspect ratio of his image is wrong
I'm art student and everytime I get an art block.
I just play BOTW for an hour.
one of the few single player games I've played in the past couple years that I actively think about going back and playing soon. I was pretty happy when I remembered that there's supposed to be some DLC coming out. Nintendo hasn't announced a release date for that yet but I need it.
what's the best lynel weapon?
I agree it's ugly in creenshots, but somehow it looks much better in motion. At least in docked mode/on TV.
oh that was a switch screenshot, that explains it as for some reason switch screenshots usually look awful with terrible image compression and incorrect aspect ratio.
>I’m art student
Get a job.
...
Stepping out of a dungeon to be greeted by views like this is just satisfying.
>for some reason switch screenshots usually look awful with terrible image compression and incorrect aspect ratio.
because the mongoloid post them on twitter to share them
because LMAO the switch doesn't let you export the pictures out of the system
BotW uses its color scheme well but the lack of underground/underwater areas, unique regions, or unique races made the world pretty boring to me. Felt like a Zelda theme park more than an actual world. Even Phantom Hourglass and Skyward Sword had new races. Closest thing in BotW are the Yiga and they're just an underutilized enemy type.
The start of the lizard divine beast with everything being dark as shit was great and I hated that it lit up so quickly. Imagine a whole dungeon where everything's in the dark, or a whole region, or a whole game. There's so much potential with BotW's engine that Nintendo has yet to exploit.
Hey thanks this was actually really helpful. Those scenes do seem to have much deeper color in them compared to the usual. Noticeable on Link especially.
This issue is one of the major disappointments of mine as sort of a fan on the sidelines. I don't have a Wii U anymore and can't afford a Switch but I've loved Zelda since the first game. BotW's initial reveal had me in love with its art direction immediately but this filter of theirs has me so disappointed. I was ready for another raw color dump like Wind Waker or Link to the Past. Both just such vibrant and beautiful games.
Oh well thanks again!
one of the most mindblowing games I've ever played
Too bad it's SHIT. Mario is way better.
>because LMAO the switch doesn't let you export the pictures out of the system
>copy to sd
u sure r dum
>Link to the Past

Wrong. If saved to the microSD card, it lets you transfer them to PC easily.
