I watch those "movie" playthroughs of games that I'm mildly interested in for the story but don't really care to play through it myself.

long plays are generally continuous playthroughs of vidya by skilled players. all you hear is the game sound without having some "personality" talking non-stop

I sometimes watch people play games I've already played to see what they did different so that I can improve my strategy for repeat playthroughs. The only time I watch a game that I don't play is when I watch a game to judge whether its worth trying in the first place.

never did it before but I have considered it with games that I didn't want to play. the first and only game that I would have been able to finish but didn't want to was Castlevania 1 on PS3. In the end, I didn't bother watching the thing because I found the game to be boring to begin with

they are not on there very long. I stay clear from short streamers. twitchpresents and saltybet are the only ones I follow that doesn't constantly thank donators. i don't know any streamers that doesn't thank their subs or donators
