Legend of Legaia
I enjoyed Wild Arms 5 but never hear anyone talk about it
FM3 gets mentioned all the time by plebs because it was the only localized game and is still on PSN, ironically it is the worst in the series.
Nothing has topped the OG, 5 came close.

Gameplay is a mess but i loved Suikoden 3.
...
>suikoden 3
It's good not great so that means you hate shit taste and probably only alive when the ps2 came out when you opted for this instead of 1 or 2.
Shut up.
Suikoden 2 is excellent but everyone remembers it fondly, it's hardly forgotten. 3, on the other hand, is better than 1 and has been forgotten to time.
...
One of the best imo
Don't know if the game itself is forgotten, but I don't think many remember how impressive was that game when it came out.
>3, on the other hand, is better than 1
Calm down a little on the praises kiddo.
Sup Forums talks about these all the fucking time. Jesus these aren't this many snowflakes in a blizzard.
fuck I forgot the game
1 > 2 > 5 > 4 > 3
Vagrant story was not popular when it came out.
It was popular among the fans of RPG. Not as much as Final Fantasy sure, but it was not an obscure japanese only release either.
It was one of the best selling PS games at the time and hit 100k copies sold in like 3 weeks while competing against GH sellers like FF and CC. By gen 5 jrpg standards, yes, it was very popular. It was also almost universally highly critically acclaimed.
Time may not have forgotten but the devs sure have.
This is best niche of niche on ps1. The only one manage to combine dating sim into game lore.
Too bad it also has the most dogshit combat out of all the PS1 jrpgs.
Bullshit. Show me a thread Sup Forums had on Suikoden 3.
Wild Arms is rarely mentioned on here. Skies of Arcadia is brought up all the time, though.
not that obscure but not enough people knew about this
Not him but 3 is better than one. It a logical progression of being able to customize your characters with skills, added mounts, and wrapped up Luc's storyline pretty well.
1 is good but very very basic. 1 and 3 are both ugly games though so if I had to pick one I'd pick 3 because at least there's more to do.
Besides, the only JRPG's that hold a candle to Suikoden II are Pic Related, FFIX, and FFV.
>Rogue Galaxy
>all the fucking time
retard alert
Snowflake alert.
you're all smalltime
Not among the very best but still good and very fun and rarely talked about.
might as well be called Shinkicker Stories
If you do not make it Jack's prerogative in life to kick everyone in the goddamn shins, you are playing the game wrong
I wish I was a snowflake
aren't we all snowflakes in the grand cosmic order, fleeting
Patrician.

3 has a worst battle system, worst music, worst story, worst level design and has Thomas chapters.
3 is clearly the weakest in the trilogy.
B-but I like 3's story the best
It's basically the weakest main game that isn't 4, since 5 is also better than 3.
...
>Worst Battle System
Uh, IV exists so no, III does not have the worst system by any measure. If you're going to argue "I just meant the original 3" then surely you aren't arguing Suikoden's bare-bones system is better than III's with actual options for your characters. That's just being contrarian or living with rose-tinted goggles literally glued to your face.
>worst level design
No Suikoden dungeon was ever "hard" sorry to break this to you buddy. They're all full of the same tired "run everywhere talk to everyone" tripe that is in every JRPG from that era.
>hating Thomas
Thomas and Cecile have a great story and it's really cool that they chose someone other than a generic martial artist kid who is good at everything to be the castle owner and leader.
Nah, order is 2 > 3 > 1.
>Worst story and music
>over IV
nigger you are clearly under the influence
Didn't say the story was bad, just that 1 was clearly better.
3 had a chaotic development and the story is not what it was planned to be at the time of 1/2.
It's better to have a "bare-bones' system that is still solid, compared to an horribly slow combat system with some arbitrary changes that should not be here.
I said trilogy, like tri, which means three. I compared 3 to 1 and didn't include any Suikoden after 3.
It's not that hard to read a post.
>Solid
You have either a regular attack with no follow-ups/extra procs, 1 Rune that usually has 1 useful spell, item, guard, and some of the weakest/situation Unites ever aside from Pupil/Master attack.
There is no tactical decision making in Suikoden I because your tool-set is so barren. Please keep being contrarian and saying your happy with only 3 decisions per fight to make. It's pretty funny.
...
>Games that you never skip the intro
Is this any good Sup Forums?
If I follow your logic it means that every old school RPG like the first FF or PS is trash because it doesn't have the decision making to inflate your ego.
Suikoden 1 was simple but solid, and it's not being contrarian to defend a game universally loved.
You're the one defending one of the biggest disappointment in the history of JRPG.
God you sound liek that Katt dude that ruins all the bof threads. Your arguments and appeal to authority are so fucking weak, man. Whose opinion are you going off of, Sup Forums's? You need to leave this echo chamber.
This game is actually pretty shit, it's only memorable because of Eternity.
SaGa has a pretty strong fanbase, it's just a niche series.
Got you covered. I loved this game so much, and I'm kinda glad no one played this game.
Seconded. The characters were cool, but the combat was just lame.
Soichi was best in my opinion
Didn't Natsume make a remake of this a couple of years ago, and kinda ripped of Ys's style?
And you sound like ACfag, creating a whole new reality in your head to fit your narrative.
We can make comparisons for hours or you can ask yourself why no one talks about Suikoden beyond 2 even tho 1&2 are in every normie "best RPGs of all time" list.
Don't see people talking about this. One of my favorites.
Great taste. This Vagrants and Saga are probably my favourites in the thread.
Shadow Hearts 2 is one of the best and most forgotten rpgs ever.
