Becuse gacha games are free, you have an equal chance to get the same servants as everyone else, you get premium currency for free and you don't need rare Servants to beat the game and can do it just fine with 3 star shitters. Also there is no competitive encouragement to spend to get more stuff because the only multiplayer component of the game is co-op so even if you don't have a rare Servant, someone in your friends list does and will let you use it.

asians companies deal with asian laws. EA deal with western laws.
Also phones are more "protected" than PC and consoles games since the account is supposed to directly link to one unse only. IT's easy for them to effectively only allow adults to play.

If people go that far, it is clear that they already had a gambling problem beforehand. It's still not a point against the game because they could have easily just grinded in game and saved up or hell, they could have even called Google/Apple and refunded if they didn't get the Servant they wanted. The difference between F/GO and Battlefront II is that F/GO is completely free and you don't need rare Servants to complete the game. Battlefront II has a 60 dollar price tag and you are required to use the lootbox system to remain competitive. That is why people defend F/GO and don't defend Battlefront II.

Lootboxes go after children and instill gambling problems in them. Gachas take money from NEETs who somehow have a lot of disposable income.

I bought FEH orbs because it's a free game that I spent a lot of hours on and my waifu finally was added.
I didn't have to pay to buy the game initially and could just delete it if I wanted.
