8th Generation of consoles what happened?

Is it safe to say this generation of consoles has been the worst if not the worst since the first one? I'm never been a PCfag but with how things look right now it doesn't look so bad.

Literally one good exclusive and it's a collection of PS1 remakes. Introducing an online fee like Xbox Live but fails to make the the service actually good enough to justify the cost, unlike Xbox Live.

If you already have a high end Win10 PC then there's not really any reason to get one. Unless you have a collection of 4k blu ray as ironically Xbones are the best blu ray players on the market. Both S and X support 4k blu rays which the PS4/Pro somehow doesn't. Even when you don't include the "*Also on PC" exclusives Xbone still has the best line up of exclusives. Which is fucking hilarious because that's literally only Sunset Overdrive, Master Chief Collection and Halo 5.

I don't count the RTS games, I guess those might be worse but why would I ever play a dumbed down console RTS when I can play better strategy games on my PC? And yes, I do think Halo 5 is a worse game than Reach. The campaign in 5 was seriously one of the worst things in years. It was so bad that it was funny, such a fall from grace. Even Gears 4 looks like a masterpiece in comparison.

It's gotten a lot worse because now with Japanese devs porting to PC you can now play a huge amount of former console exclusives on PC. It didn't used to be this way with PS3, where you still had exclusive gems that were third party Japanese titles like Nier, Resonance of Fate, etc. Now there's so much fewer of those unless they're some of the few Japanese pubs left who don't go PC, like Vanillaware for example still refuses to go PC.

The Switch is 9th generation, just because it released a few years earlier than the other consoles doens't mean it's a new console. The Dreamcast was released in 1998 and is considered a console form the 6th generation.

well if you really want something to play i would say yakuza or gravity rush 1/2 but they are considered weeb-gaems. maybe also red dead redention 2 and monster hunter world is they take their time porting then to pc

But Dark Souls was localized and I thought, well it´s the newer version etc., but in the end I sucked so hard.
