>want to grab it to relive my nostalgia
>only torrent is a lonely .exe
>EA asks $15 for it
>don't want to give money to the company that killed the studio and the franchise
what do I do
I lost my fucking CD
Want to grab it to relive my nostalgia
I'm the same as you except EA is not even selling the game anymore in any form in my country.
And I still own the CDs but they don't work anymore.
it's up on origin
where are you from that the store isn't available there?
Nope, doesn't even show on Origin, only RA3 and its expension are showing.
>where are you from that the store isn't available there?
FR
have you tried ebay
>FR
france?
origin.com
RA2 is only sold in this package. Doesn't work for you?
Nope, the only C&C game that appears on Origin here are RA3, C&C3 and 4 and Tiberium Alliance.
France banned ra2 because they were buttmad that westwood gave them the worst special unit.(building)
damn shame
Don't know what to do, but, on that note, are RA3 and C&C3 any good?
kek
And expensive as hell
>best defense building of the game
>literally unusable if you don't have the soviet nuclear plant
>C&C3
The campaign is unplayable because balance patches also affected units in the campaign.
>RA3
If feels like playing a chinese couterfeit of RA2.
Still worth a playthrough but don't expect too much.
And with the exception of Tanya, the girls are top tier.
>And with the exception of Tanya, the girls are top tier.
this
I think they invested too much in the whole models thing. The cut scenes felt too forced and cringy. This was the main reason i quit playing ra3 near the beginning of the game.
I'd offer to give you my CDs but I've had them for so damn long that I'm kind of attached. Also I doubt the key works anymore. Also also I'd just wind up buying it from EA anyway so they'd still get the money.
Damn RA2 and YR were the jam. Haven't played it in so long.
I was ok with those actually, I had more issues with the AI team mate they give you in most missions, meaning the campaign maps are often shit.
It's also why the only memorable missions in RA3 are those where you don't have the AI partner.
>tfw you must kill the emperor with only a basic soldier and a bear
I didn't played the expension but I've heard it's a little better on this side.
>And with the exception of Tanya, the girls are top tier.
are you russian?
How bout some action?
Squared away, sir!
Buy the game from a reselling site, like G2A or Kinguin, they buy the shit with stolen credit cards anyways, so EA won't get much from that
Conscript reporting!
Da
problem is they dont sell RA2 anymore, so these sites cant really get ra2 keys
I really doubt that's the only torrent, search harder
Not really, my favorite RA3 girls are actually Lisette and Eva.
RA3 Tanya was just terrible.
>igg games
youtube.com
The cutscenes were some of the best parts of RA3 I felt. The game is clearly not as good as RA2 but it's not terrible.
C&C Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge [Win10 Fixed] - V2
Worked for me
I made it through RA3, but man, the fucking pathfinding was killing me.
It was never that good in C&C games, but it was so bad in RA3 that it made me almost drop the game.
Also, Jap units are the worst.
>you bought the collection on origin just for RA2
>it doesn't even work on Windows 10
>a little C4, knockin at your door
What you guys think about C&C Generals?
>op says that he doesn't want to pay money to the company that killed Westwood
>everyone recommends that he buys the game on Origin
What the fuck is going on here?
Not as good as Rise of the Reds or Mental Omega. Too bad both are dead now.
>Jap units are the worst
Agreed, only Yuriko was good, if not OP.
Bretty good, I liked it better than RA3 gameplay-wise.
RA3 is legitimately one of the ugliest games I've ever seen for some reason. The colors, the bulkiness of everything, it all looks just fuckin' terrible.
The age of glorious sprite-based RTS games is sadly over, user.
Life is suffering
Look at that beauty
Just download openRA, they will add RA2 eventually. Multiplayer is the best part.
If you can't find a torrent you're not looking hard enough. Anyway, I'm pretty sure you could find it on Greenman Gaming or one of those other sketchy key reseller sites cheap
magnet link?
You must pirate the command and conquer collection.
I'd love it if someone made a spiritual successor for RA2 with a very similar sprite-based art style, and Klepachi-inspired music.
Maybe instead of Cold War, you could do straight up WW2, Axis vs. Allies.
You could get very campy with the Nazis giving them crazy stuff like UFOs and other nonsense.
Not only that, but you could go Zero Hour style and have 3 subfactions per side
Axis
Nazis - High tech like GDI, best at late game
Japan - stealth and hit and run with Kamikaze suicide planes
Italy - very middleground approach
Allies
USA - flexible, best Air Force
Britain - best Navi, good at turtling
USSR - cheapest tanks, strength in numbers, can mass produce
I would absolutely buy this on Steam. RA2 is still one of my all time favorite games.
If you haven't yet, you should check out the Sudden Strike series.
The early ones are sprite-based WW2 RTS games. They're pretty difficult, though.
>Generals is one of my favorites
>AIs lag the game to the point where you cant even enjoy it
>Online matches will just desync
My friend is actually a huge fan of this series. He was telling me about it the other day.
I don't think it's in the same style as CnC though is it?
It tries to be more realistic with little to no base building, but in turn, you get hundreds of units at once and regular reinforcements.
In SS1 you get to play Allies, Germans, and Russians fighting historic battles like the battle of Stalingrad and the D-Day landing.
