As long as you understand basic menu navigation and can comprehend spoken Japanese you'll be fine. Most of the stuff is spoken and the directions have diagrams in most cases.

No English, it's a simple enough game that you don't need to know Japanese to play it, unless you care about the VN aspect between each massage game.

I enjoy it and my Japanese is basically guess work.

Some games aren't designed to use it, especially something that was in development before the feature rolled out.
It uses extra resources so it needs to be accounted for.

Some early Switch games or otherwise performance intense games still can't use it.
