ITT: good game concepts that we will never get

You're just think about all the good games we will never get it because they would be deemed too risky of an investment by a company?

Crazy old cat lady simulator meets animal breeding game and pokemon battles+contests.

...

Feminist robot version was so much better.
And the fact that people were stupid enough to think it was the original causing the artist to apologize was icing on the cake.

Space station 13 with better graphics and streamlined controls

Also an Aliens game that's just like space station 13 Colonial Marines

But that's just Pokémon,

Besides some shitty independent developer could make that in a fucking week

Didn't somebody try to make this already?

A lot of the more interesting concepts are done as indie games. When I worked in a supermarket I had this idea of a game that would be sort of Hotline Miami meets Home Alone, but all set in a megamarket. So you could use a hammer and go to town, or make a flamethrower with a lighter and an aerosol, or throw just a bunch of marbles on the ground, or make toxic combinations of household cleaning chemicals.

>Besides some shitty independent developer could make that in a fucking week
The joke is that Edmund McMillen (Binding of Isaac guy) couldn't make that in several years.

Sandbox RTS.

You get given a slice of territory and play as the occupying force. You have troops that you command around the territory (it's a big block of land, encompassing your FOB, some villages, some rural land, and a mid-sized city). You get given various missions that you have to complete with your available forces that are conflicting and it's impossible to achieve all of them. The region is shaped by what you choose to prioritise and you get to see that happen in a dynamic way.

It would be a black comedy about the Iraq war.

fuck you

I like it

Like in general?

no, specifically

Shadowrun in post cyberpunk writing

I just felt like saying fuck you to someone randomly. happens sometimes

Warhammer 40k MMOFPS (Not Eternal Crusade)

Instead of customizing a single character you customize a squad and control them all at once with you as the leader. So if you're playing a Tactical Space Marine squad you play as the sergeant and can customize his looks and weapons, while the other members of your squad are more limited in their weapons/customization. While you play like an FPS, you command your squad more like an RTS with move commands, follow or attack orders. The squad has its own morale meter and if it goes down too far they start ignoring your orders and retreat. You can stay if you want but being by yourself will likely kill you.

Since you're controlling a squad instead of a single character it would be easier to balance against vehicles and single hero characters. You could balance races easier too since while Marines would have like 5 people per squad, Orks would have up to 20. It would be easier to balance weapon ratios too by limiting how many heavy weapons a squad can take.

Now you have a game that accurate represents each race. And fills out the battlefield with actual numbers.

I miss captcha comics.

you don't look a day over twelve thousand

This + = Barotrauma.

>play imperial guard
>squad size is 100 with an additional 200 reinforcements
>no point customising them because the entire squad is replaced every battle
>your character is actually a command chimera
I'd play it.

So... Granado Espada in space, then

I want a made in abyss, sandbox, pve focused, mmo. Players can either band together or go solo into the abyss and the furthur they go down the better the loot BUT the only way to cash in the loot is bring it back to the surface at which point your character will be affected by the curse of the abyss gaining massive debuffs which can kill you. The ultimate endgame would be to become a white whistle which should be as difficult and tedious as getting a titan in eve online
