Justice for Vaati

>Sup Forums is literally incapable of reading dialogue in the game that alludes to Zant answering to someone else

I think the point of the thread is that they completely ruined Zant's character after building him up so well for the entire game until the cutscene before his fight. Not that people didn't see Ganondorf coming a mile away. Also, Sup Forums is not one person.

But you knew all of that.

IT's Zelda what the fuck did you expect? It's the same shit over and over for brainwashed indoctrinated fans of the series, they won't change shit because nostalgia

I will never forget this. Why make him so cool in the first place?

This was (before BotW) the main problem with modern Zelda games. Difficulty.
Yes the build up to vaatis character was amazing. He was legitimately a scary character that had you on alert. He had this "untouchable"-aura. And when you finally fought him, they threw all of that away by making him jump around and scream like a clown. On top of that, his attacks dealt like... 1/4th of a heart damage? Maybe half a heart i don't know. Meaning that at that point into the game, even if you dont collect heart pieces, it's pretty much impossible to die. Damn shame because the fight itself is very interesting and unique.

Every important character in twilight princess had an amazing design but a very shallow character.

You mean Zant.
Vaati was Minish Cap/Four Swords Adventure?

For fucks sake, yes. The second reply in this thread messed me up.

TPHD hero mode fixes some of this

Twilight princess in general feels like a wasted potential.

Don't worry about it, user.
I assumed as much, anyway.
Proof-reading helps, though.

I wish every character in Twilight Princess had as much thought put into their design as Link, Midna, Ganondorf, Zelda, Zant, and a few others, because most of them are just awful to look at. The artstyle in Twilight Princess is just so ugly on some characters.

Just look through some of these. Mostly the characters from Ordon Village, but others, too: zelda.gamepedia.com/Characters_in_Twilight_Princess

You know about BotW right? The latest game that stopped nearly every convention the series had for better or worse?

This is 100% accurate. They came up with some really great designs. Midna, cloaked Zelda, Zant, etc. And then they tried to fit a story around them and it was awful. Same thing with Skyward Sword.

They really should stick to making the gameplay before the story, unless Koizumi is working on it. Majora's Mask is the only Zelda with an actual quality story.

An unattractive character design is not a bad character design. It's called having character diversity.

You may be right, but I'm still upset that more than half of the characters in the game are ugly as fuck. It's like a response to the people that complain that characters are always too pretty.

It's a game that was designed around standard definition and half the audience using CRTs, looked great at the time

To be honest the screeching and maniacal way he did shit was way creepier to me. That voice gives me chills.

I still like Twilight Princess's art style, I think it gets treated too harshly.

It's still pretty funny to see how the game that is pretty much a direct response to the initial poor feedback on Windwaker end up being derided heavily for what people were demanding at the time. More realism, more mature, grittier, darker, more like OoT.

I actually thought TP was pretty good, I just hated the wolf stuff.

This. I've fought enough evil classy masterminds all the time. A screaming retard is original...a little.

I wouldnt neccesarily call him a retard but I get what you mean. His plans were solid he was just unhinged as fuck. Nigga couldn't go 5 minutes without screaming and stomping shit. Made him sort of intimidating.

"Retard" not as retarded person, as "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" screaming and flailing during battle

Unrelated to Twilight Princess but I hope that the next Zelda game has better towns. The layouts of all of the towns in BOTW weren't particularly interesting which made it a bit of a letdown when you'd get to a new location and it didn't really feel like there was anything to do.

>massive clock-town style city in the BOTW engine

Gotcha senpai.
