>license CCR
>can only get 1 song
>run through the jungle over it ain't me

it's good but it lacks content and it has few players

does this have lootboxes like Killing Flloor 2?

Nope. As far as I've heard their only gonna add some cosmetic shit to purchase that you can also get by grinding.

It suffered from a poor launch due to a really small map pool but there are a shitload of community ones now. Not as fun as RO2/RS but still enjoyable.

No, the cosmetics can't be purchased at all. They just unlock every five levels and they are the only thing that the progression system is tied to.

Yeah but they're gonna add more stuff with the aussie update.

when I was in the closed beta one update (2nd or 3rd) broke the fucking game for me and I couldn't even start it. I'm reluctant to buy this shit.

It has more than enough players. There will be active american servers years from now still, at least one or two. Same with RO2.

In fact RO2 is still going alright but is slowly decreasing. Although there is a full US server right now that I was just on.

It's worth it, especially for its sale price. It needs players, so jump in sooner rather than later. It's pretty damn fun and there aren't many other games like it.

The main problem with Rising Storm games is the lack of proximity chat

tfw you hate twi to this day for what they did with the red orchestra series post ostfront

you don't understand how upset i get whenever i read someone giving twi the slightest bit of praise

Never played the first one but I'd love to hear about it. What did they do wrong going forward?

You can still have more fun playing Vietcong.

same here bro

I played a lot through the last wave of closed beta, open beta and about a month after release but I got kinda bored with it. Have they fixed the minor annoyances and lack of content yet?

Adding to that, the launch was a complete shitshow where they fixed zero problems reported over and over again in the beta.
I heard RO2 had a similar launch but I jumped in years later and I loved it, so maybe they'll fix RS2 too, eventually.

>it's good but it lacks content and it has few players

All that matter is that there are 3-4 full servers most of the time and it has that.

There are a lot of custom maps and many of them are a lot of fun. As for official content there is supposed to be the Australian update soon with a new faction and I think three maps.

Not as good as RO2 or Rising Storm but still very good. Great shotgun action, booby traps, flamethrowers, napalm is scary. Voice chat is entertaining.

>go home, GI. Black GI your war is at home. You die here fo country that oppress you

>played RO1 since it came out and loved it
>played RO2 since it came out and loved it
yeah no, you're just autistic

it's getting a content update on the 28th with 3 new maps, 6 new guns, a new faction and a few other features and fixes

>if i like something and others dont they're wrong

and he's the autist?

regarding ro2, three things i particularly disliked were bandaging, cover mechanics and texture popin. they also failed to match the ostfront's features on both tank and combined arms combat. the game just really felt a lot more clumsy and unruly as well compared to ostfront. idk how to explain it, it just wasn't nearly as fluent and responsive. there were other things i disliked as well, but i haven't played it in years so i've forgotten most things

Cool, guess I'll jump back in then. Haven't ran through the jungle in a while. Although you really shouldn't run anyway since that'll just get you killed. Why did they even make that the title screen song?

>Shit posting about games that are actually good
Ro2 is objectively an upgrade in every way. Stay mad faggot.

Same for what they did to Killing Floor and RO

Is a bit worse, but still quite fun, its getting a big update in 4 days, 3 new maps, 1 new helicopter, 6-7 new guns, Australia faction, some new cosmetics...

that's LITERALLY what the other user was saying in his post though; nice reading comprehension!

Pretty good imo.
The guns are fun, the fire fights are intense.
The maps with lots of jungle are lush and offer lots of concealment, and for themost part are balanced pretty well.
All around it feels like a RO2 successor.
There's always full servers, and the community isn't too autistic.
It's really good to play while listening to Vietnam era rock and shit.

does the game also have a ridiculous amount of texture popin like ro2? i'm very wary about ue3 in general because of this

It's pretty noticeable. A lot of the foliage will grow into existence in front of you.

I always wondered, does that mean if you're hiding behind a bush someone far away can still see and shoot you because the bush doesn't render for him?
