What is the Dark Souls of visual novels?

What is the Dark Souls of visual novels?

None since they are not games.

Your not games

Realistically School Days. Very complex chains, many of which end in sudden, surprising death. If you want to meme it up, we can say doki doki literature club.

Chaos;Child

Kara no Shoujo.
Shit's fucking impossible without a guide. You can pretty much figure it all out and still get a dead end because you didn't go to the right place on some day.

Rin is best girl

Talking to a real world woman

Clannad is the same.
At least make the consequences a result of the action.

"Oh you didn't buy coffee instead of tea?"
"You're now locked out from Bigtits McGee's route!"

crapawa shitjo is not a game

You're not a game, faggot.

This, Clannad is retarded.

True ending was not worth it at all

A shame you can't appreciate the medium, but I'm sure you got better things right? oh wait no, you're a useless sack of shit better off dead

Either School/Shiny Days, YU-NO, or Kagetsu Tohya

That's true.

Also those fucking investigations
>to find a piece of evidence, click on a corpse's stomatch, face, leg, and then you can lift up her skirt to find a piece of paper
>trying to lift the skirt from the very beginning? No, that's not possible, fuck you, also no indicators that there may be something there
And then they had to go completely overboard with the second game and make everything so mindnumbingly simple that you basically couldn't fuck up, ever.

Shizune - Demon's Souls
Rin - Dark Souls
Hanako - Dark Souls 2
Emi - Dark Souls 3
Lilly - Bloodborne

Hatofun Boyfriend

Muv Luv

Makes sense to me

this

VLR

This. Unless you have everything down to a fucking pattern, count your chances of getting any kind of ending that doesn't result in her dying out. At least the game gets slightly easier once you notice which skills come up the least and how early or late certain skills become required. Paying attention to how fucking little horse riding and etiquette comes into play will help you avoid these trap skills with ease.

>killed by a snake when I skipped out on lessons
being a princess is suffering

Fate/Stay Night, literally.
It's full of retarded random deaths that you can only avoid once you've seen it happen once.
