Why the fuck does this board like this game?
Its the worst RE game I've ever played and feels nothing like RE,
Why the fuck does this board like this game?
Contrarians and butthurt re4 fags. They will take any tactic to make re7 look bad.
Yeah it's pretty awful.
That dosin't even make sense.
If RE4 fags wanted to ro compare RE games why not 4? you know the good action RE.
I've not even played 7 but it cant be as shit as this mess.
Either way I spent almost nothing on this game and I still hated it.
>Its the worst RE game I've ever played and feels nothing like RE
i would say the same thing about 7. 6 has tons of problems but at least it has fun side-modes.
But 7 is better then most of the crap in the RE series and it feels more like an RE game then anything after CV.
Well, they can. But all I've seen is them shitting on it, because it's a first person REmake style of game.
>I've not even played 7 but it cant be as shit as this mess.
It's not. It's actually good, even if it is a more linear than the pre-re4 games. It still fits in that group.
>i would say the same thing about 7.
OP isn't talking about 7. OBSESSED.
>I've not even played 7 but it cant be as shit as this mess.
It's not. It's actually good. Flawed but the best RE experience I've had since RE4
Nothing feels like RE after 3. Kys yourself. 6 a shit but gameplay wise shits on both 5 and 4.
>6 better then 4.
THIS FUCKING BOARD!
What are you talking about, everyone here hates it for the same reasons as you
not me, had a lot of good time with it
Because it's awesome to shoot while sliding at a zombie.
it has absolutely nothing to do with re. it was youtuber bait trying to cash in on the popularity of first person horror games at the time.
I like it, it's a good game. But I also like classic stuff. I like both styles, they're both resident evil. Get over it
Giraffes
I will never not see the logo for that game as a giraffe getting his dick sucked.
I don't give a shit about what's real RE. The combat is kino. No one even tries to make games like 6 anymore anyway.
>having to stand still and aim like a fucking turret is good game design
Go die in a fire nostalgia fag
>Giraffes
Giraffes?
>No one even tries to make games like 6 anymore anyway.
Thank GOD
It has more to do with RE then anything after CV.
And why do you let youtubers judge what you like?
RE7 is only youtube bait on the surface as pretty much everything after the guest house is pure classic RE but in first person.
>youtuber bait
not an argument
>No one even tries to make games like 6 anymore anyway
I wish that was the case but games like The Order are the same kind of cinematic crap we always see.
It's a pretty fun third-person shooter.
Sucks that it has the RE title I guess, but you shouldn't let that stop you from having fun.
At least Capcom seems to have somewhat learned their lesson. RE7 still feels off, but it's a step in the right direction.
>as pretty much everything after the guest house is pure classic RE but in first person.
So you get a huge map that you're allowed to freely explore and solve puzzles in a non-linear order?
The combat IS pretty kino, but the level design is fucking shit.
Jake is specialized in CQC and his levels are deisgned like Gears of War. Leon's levels are also designed with covers in them but he never once fights dudes with guns.
The irony is RE4 started this mess.
Not saying it's a bad game, it just isn't resident evil. It should have been its own ip.
>It's actually good, even if it is a more linear than the pre-re4 games
Is it really? RE used to be a puzzle game, yeah you could roam around but the order you had to do shit was as strict as RE7.
The actual gameplay mechanics, rolling and jumping around, I thought was pretty fun but the worst thing abut the game are the weapons that don't have any punch to them and the bulletsponge enemies that don't react to getting shot in a satisfying way like in resi 4.
Because Quick Shoot forward roll into a slide into placing a remote bomb into countering fucking everything into catching a leaping bloodshot out of the fucking air and stamping on its chest into sliding past a massive fat zombie and shooting out its legs which sets up a massive coup de grace.
When it actually lets you play the game is a fucking blast once you learn how it wants to be played.
RE never had a huge map besides Remake.
Also RE is not the open like a lot of you claim.
RE2s whole second half is pretty much a corder and 7 has its own open section with the boat.
Either way RE7 being mostly linear dose not mean its not RE.
>yeah you could roam around but the order you had to do shit was as strict as RE7.
You were pretty much left to figure out what you had to do by yourself instead of the game telling you that this is the thing you need to do now.
>abloo bloo this board waah
How about you stop trying to fit in you little bitch ass soyboy.
>RE used to be a puzzle game
People found REs puzzles hard? they always felt like filler to me.
Mercenaries.
Yes
>Either way RE7 being mostly linear dose not mean its not RE.
>pretty much everything after the guest house is pure classic RE but in first person.
it is absolutely not pure classic re.
It has good gameplay, but without the extra content to make proper use of it. It's one of those games that sits perfectly in the middle of good and bad, so opinions vary as they should.
RE6 mercenaries is a legitimately good game what's the problem ?
You can be a puzzle game and not be a difficult puzzle game
mercenaries is fun
Remember the cerberus door? Other than Colonel Sanders' little sister telling you to leave the house on the phone it was 100% up to you to find all that shit and leave the house. That felt very classic RE.
Did you really pick a random universally hated game, then ask why Sup Forums loves it? That's what you did?
For you I guess if an RE game is linear or not isn't what makes RE for me as I already said 2 is pretty damn linear too and i never minded
Mercs is fun. Series change over time. Name me a series that has had as many iterations as RE has but hasn't changed their formula.
That doesn't mean it's the right thing to do
monster hunter
As a business, it certainly is. You gotta go where the money is. I'd even go so far as to argue that the past few years have been the best ever for RE fans. New game styles for those getting bored of the older formula, remakes for nostalgic players, and the Revelations series combined both very well, I feel.
Also, the last "classic" RE game was 18 years ago, I think it's time for people to move the fuck on.
>chess is thousands years old, I think it's time for people to move on
Apples and oranges. Chess is designed for two people to play matches with billions of variations on moves. The game is as boundless as the players' experience and strategy. RE3 is a scripted event that is designed to lead you from beginning to end with the same set of events (with a few, but still very limited differences) through each playthrough. You can only get so good at RE3, you can only play it so many times before it's the same game again.
And if you meant RE as a whole, regarding style of gameplay, there's still not as much depth to any video game in that sort of genre as there is in a game like chess. At the end of the day, you're still limited by what the game developers allowed you to do. Every playthrough has the same content.
I understand why RE purists dislike 4. It turned the series into a mostly-action third person shooter. The mechanics of 4 were mostly refined with 5 and 6, but by the time those games came out, the design was already dated or done better by other games. That being said, 4 has a vastly superior campaign, better level design, and more diverse areas than 5 or 6, and that's why its a better game. 5 and 6 are still great co-op experiences though, so if you have a buddy to play with, I say its worth it. Haven't played 7 yet, but it looks interesting.
It's awesome and feels amazing to play.
RE4 is awesome
RE6 is awesome
RE7 is awesome
have fun with that
RE4 is so better because the cbaracters are mkre likable and the overall concept was still very horror like, even if the gameplay wasn't. It's like Dead Space. An Horror based shooter will always be more ineresting than a action game imo.
>it has absolutely nothing to do with re.
So you didn't play it or are baiting, nice.
Mercenaries is the only good part of the game. Actually, it's the best iteration in the series. Compared to mercs in re4 and re5 it really is a step forward. It feels like the core gameplay was made for it.
RE5 is also pretty awesome
I always wondered why Capcom never did a standalone mercs game with re6 combat.
Oh areiel, please just do a full penetative sex video that ends with someone nutting on your body hard, please? Before its too late?
Re6 feels like it was made as a mercs game first without any campaigns desu.
Another question is, why hasn't capcom used re6 combat and made another Dino Crisis game with it. That shit would have the potential to be goat.
Here is a REAL fun action RE game also i wanna lick Moira’s neck!
They hate money. Imagine a standalone, not tied to a handheld, with 4 player Mercs, characters and stages from all the main RE entries, with 6's mechanics.
The game's control's and mechanics to play Mercs save an otherwise terrible game.
it's a pretty cool 3D adaptation of the "beat em up" genre set in the resident evil universe.
but as a "resident evil game" it is shit.
It is fun multiplayer. But it should have been a stand alone since it didn't feel very resident evil-ish despite having Leon, Chirs and Ada in it.
It felt more like the movies than the games.
Pretty accurate description.
I wouldn't say it saves it but Mercs is certainly fun for a while.
The intersecting campaigns / agent hunt idea was very cool and I wish it was implemented better. Other than those two things the game is beyond saving really.
agreed
