OP, I barely play any new releases. They are just another medium for propaganda, not the passion filled projects they once were. The games aren't made with love anymore but with figures and politicized language. And for me it shows. I always reinstall a good ol game and whenever I have money left to spend on random shit, I buy one of those old games once in a while for the sake of keeping the memory alive. Retail only ofc.

This, focus on ONE GAME and play the fuck out of it and move on. If you play multiple titles at the same time you will enjoy Vidya less and less because of over saturation.

That's the extent of your critism really? Well regardless I feel similarly to you but I don't think it's growing up or something shit so much as series rot. As in series you love declining and quality and your interest in them waning. Not because of you, but because there are a lot of game series that are simply inferior to those who came before. No not ALL series are subject to this but if I had to guess it probably has a lot to do with the game series you've loved sort of forming your "gaming identity" as in memories and times you associate with good times playing games. But seeing a series you love sour adversely can (maybe not always) lessen your opinion of games as whole.
