Why did Julius betray you? You spent the final missions busting your ass to save him and he blows you up
Why did Julius betray you? You spent the final missions busting your ass to save him and he blows you up
Because the he created the Saints to stop gang wars, not to take over.
You became exactly what he always hated.
The boss was an ass
>tfw saints row is dead
I remember seeing a video of the devs saying that there was a mistake in the ending of SR1 and that they just wrote over it in SR2.
>that kingpin intro with the church in the background
Shame AoM flopped so hard, would have liked to seen the rest of the gang show up.
>tfw Sasha Grey had a character in SR3
The guy pussyed out after you took over and wiped out the other gangs.
I don't even buy that "oh you became what we wanted to stop" bull crap. He was just jealous of the new leaders success.
Plus he knew along with Dex that they had a cop as a lieutenant
>have game with a more compelling story than GTA at the time
>everyone whines that it's a GTA clone
>devs decide to go full parody after to combat GTA4
Such a waste for a series. They wanted to embrace le sandbox freedom without knowing that's all there would be in the future.
He hated gangs. Julius was trying to stop gang violence by killing all the gang leaders.
>create a gang to end gangs
Could have thought that through a little better
But the mc showed no sign of wanting the money and the power, hell it was Julius that was pushing the drugs when the Carnales were wiped out. He even promoted you before being busted by Troy
I don't think Volition thought AOM would sell, it seems to be a quick cash in on game engine and assets they'll use to make SR5
I swear that last mission where you meet Hughes was meant to be a proper confrontation where you escape his guards and save Julius. The dialogue is spoken as if they're inside a building and the animation of the scene reflects as such.
Is Saint's Row 2 on PC worth it with the Gentlemen of the Row mod?
Was a weird choice and she barely did anything.
I wish we'd had the choice to tell him he was wrong, I saw the Boss as someone that wanted to clean up the streets like Julius did.
As did I, given the intro is him almost being killed by Gang Violence, only to be saved by the leader of a new gang of vigilantes.
I get why they went for the characterisation of the Boss they went with in SR2, but the only time he acted on his own volition in the first game was to save the man who protected him at the beginning
Boss by 2 is unambiguous in just being powerhungry and depending how you play only a lesser evil compared to other gangs but also possibly a greater evil.
Plus by 3 the Saints are hardly even criminals anymore.
The thing that sucks is that SR 1 and 2 still weren't full on serious. It had a nice balance of seriousness and comedy. The series really went full retard and never came back.
uhh user, they dont own the rights to saints row anymore, thats why they made Agents of Mayhem in the first place
It's owned by Activision now iirc
It fixes all the port issues and adds a bunch of extra shit i.e. unused assets from the game.
Which makes it the best version of SR2, which is an amazing game.
>Get up.
They already announced Kinzie as a DLC character so they are desperate at this point (Just make the Kinzie solo game Volition since you have a bigger hard on for her than Johnny Gat, goddamn)
They need to delete their engine. AOM ran like shit on everything.
SR3 suffered a lot because THQ had budget issues and they couldn't schedule Daniel Dae Kim because he was too busy with Hawaii 5-0 so Gat had to be written out of the bigger story. Ex-Volition devs said originally they were going to go somewhere serious with his "We're no longer the Saints" speech but the whole thing had to be cut.
Dex makes even less sense since his plot line never reached a conclusion. Not to mention, he was the closest of the OGs to the Boss other than Gat
