>Sup Forums memers complain that Chief gets his ass handed to him by Locke >Watch the cutscene >Chief isn't even fighting seriously, just wanted Locke to leave him alone >Visor gets cracked, Chief gets serious and lays him flat in seconds
Okay Sup Forums, using only the previously released marketing material (specifically Hunt the Truth), rewrite Halo 5's story so it isn't shit.
Leo Allen
>expecting people to play the games they complain about
What a retard
Caleb Davis
People complained that the choreography was shit, not that Locke beat him up. They're spec ops super soldiers but look like they're having a drunken brawl.
Gavin Parker
>They're spec ops super soldiers but look like they're having a drunken brawl.
they're wearing 1000 pounds of thick armor user, and yes, people did say that Locke showed chief up
Oliver Lewis
Sup Forums is retarded.
>people did say that Locke showed chief up This
>People complained that the choreography was shit This too
Aaron Richardson
Halo 5 campaign blows no one wanted Locke the sjw dialogue the repeated boss encounters the reskin weapons human shotgun alien shotgun beyond fucking lazy the mp is all that saves this game
Nicholas Edwards
I don't think it's that "Locke kicked his ass" so much as it's "Locke did surprisingly well considering how Chief is pretty much superior in every way except perhaps gear".
Personally for me though the fight was fucking retarded because the rest of Osiris just sat there and fucking watched Locke try to solo a fucking SPARTAN II which nothing human should be fucking capable of. In actual police situations you will easily see more than three or four cops dogpile a nigger just to minimize the chance of escape, and Osiris should have done that here too considering just how much of a threat a II is, even to a IV.
>they're wearing 1000 pounds of thick armor So fucking what? They're spartans, they're physically enhanced so the suits feel like a second skin.
Jeremiah Cruz
the armor is literally made out of stuff that amplifies movement. Chief is able to swat away missiles in it
Jayden Taylor
This
Chase Campbell
>Locke who? I don't remember such a character in the Halo trilogy or Wars/Reach.
James Morgan
I'm a Halo fanboy, but even I can admit that Halo 5's story was garbage. MCvs Locke was the most disappointing thing ever. They have a lot of course correction for Halo 6
Brody Gray
Chief is autistic and has that autist condition that makes him uncomfortable with people seeing his face. Didn't care about Locke because they didn't exist in his spectrum, until they threatened to reveal his face. That triggered a spergrage
Isaiah Brown
>So fucking what? They're spartans, they're physically enhanced so the suits feel like a second skin.
You can't just gain all that protection from armor not lose some mobility. Chief can bench 500 pounds but that doesn't mean he won't be unencumbered by his armor. If you want fast frantic action like a marvel movie watch those shitty movies made by the RvB team
David Hill
At least we have Batman Arkham Asylum and City's Narrative Director as Halo 6's Narrative Director.
Aaron Stewart
>You can't just gain all that protection from armor not lose some mobility
yes actually you can.
Cooper Clark
Kelly could run like 80 km/h in the armor, so nah.
Jaxson Nelson
This
Jordan Ramirez
>yes actually you can.
How so?
Asher Cox
>never read fall of reach
Carson Sanchez
I wouldn't know how to do a full write out, but I would create 2 separate campaigns with 2 endings (Chief wins, Locke loses or Locke Wins, Chief loses) and at least have Chief visit Arbiter to tell him what Oni did to create the Storm.
Nolan Powell
Locke was just some ONI spook and somehow the devs thought it would be cool for him to 1v1 MC. He never had a chance.
William Jenkins
I did when it came out, so it's been a very long time. How does the suit not compromise flexibility?
Samuel Bell
its well established in the lore that the armor makes spartans fast and agile as shit. Two examples are here: in fact regular unenhanced soldiers cant wear the armor because the speed at which it moves its users shatters bones
Eli Cooper
If I remember correctly, it would enhance the force of movements in the muscles, making them so much stronger. Hence why Mjolnair would never be allowed for regular soldiers (Other than the cost) because it would strengthen the force of their muscles so much they basically rip themsevles apart.
Cooper Harris
I haven't read it in a while myself. Essentially it's engineered to move faster than normal humans are capable of, and the only reason spartan IIs are able to survive wearing it is because of all the augmentation they had done to increase bone and muscle density
Justin Lewis
>still caring about Halo anymore >pretending it didn't die after 3
Brandon Morgan
Someone post the video of Locke versus Chief and I'll be the fucking judge
Jaxon Myers
Chief goes on an adventure with his pals to the Grand Line and he becomes the pirate king.
Everything "interesting" about Halo was stolen directly from Starship Troopers.
David Moore
Everything interesting about starship troopers was cut from the film. At least halo got ODST's and power armor right
Nathan Powell
>Covenant and Forerunners were stolen from a movie about bugs and a book about psychic aliens ?
Camden Walker
the two are not even close user
Nicholas Anderson
>implying all scifi isnt one constant string of one work stealing ideas from older works
Sebastian Jones
I'm still waiting for someone to rip off Hyperion Cantos
Kayden Thomas
>Starship >Not Aliens
Gavin Jenkins
>WE WUZ SPARTAN
who the fuck made this decision, also arby didn't even get to talk to the chief, fucked it all up. No one cares about Locke
Cooper Price
Brain Reed, ever wonder why he no longer works there anymore and why Paul Crocker took his place? Let's just say Microsoft started cleaning house.
Camden Perry
I'd say 80% of that fight was Master Chief owning Locke.
Gavin Miller
Everything "interesting" about Halo was stolen directly from Consider Phlebas.
Matthew Price
Pretty much
Bentley Gomez
The thing about IVs is that literally anyone can be one, it's just that easy now.
Benjamin Hernandez
Sjw dialogue??? You mean female elites or what
Eli Johnson
wait so that was just 100% shitcanned?
Robert Carter
>Locke pulling his sidearm after getting beaten I hope they kill him off in H6
Oliver Diaz
You know they won't. They'll kill off Buck and Arbiter first.
Daniel Lee
>black males >ever dying or being wrong Ugh. Fucking racist bigot. They should kill Chief off. Fuck wh*te people.
Elijah Diaz
Unfortunately, yes
Nathaniel Hall
What bothers me is that they basically did nothing with the Halo universe after 3. They could have expanded the universe, made a big space opera with factions from across the galaxy filling the power gap the Covenant left behind. We could have had innies that took over UNSC refineries and manufacturing plants after the war to produce their own gear and put them on even playing ground. Or a alien faction that takes humans into their ranks, or a completely new alien empire. Instead we have Nu-Spartans and the Covenant-again + robot flood.
Brayden Watson
it should have just stopped after 3.
Samuel Evans
>Punished Chief never ever
Julian Turner
>Osiris tries to gang up on chief >The other Spartan II's join the fight
Jacob Martinez
Fucking pleb.
Blake White
Typical niggerlocke behavior
Jaxson Smith
It's still fucked that they had the non-augmented dude wear the armor. His pain spasms from the suit caused him to spasm more and more, killing him.
Adam Murphy
Yeah, I would imagine the Kig Yar would go back to their pirate shit, ex-covenant forces that would go on to actually improve forerunner tech without the religious restrictions, innies like you said, maybe an Elite Spartan program? Something at least.
Prometheans on paper are an alright idea, the execution was a load of shit though.
Joshua White
>ignoring ODST and Reach
Ayden Ross
Except they already took their one-way teleport out before the fight even started. All that the Chief thought would happen would be a quick exchange of words, and that any fight would be over quickly. Instead, Locke somehow proved a match for him and the ensuing scuffle was just fucking watched by Osiris. And don't even give me that "oh they respected the honor of their duel" or some shit like that, that's a Sangheili thing, not SPARTANs trained to be government spec ops agents.
Isaac Rivera
That and the augmentation scene are the only things the Fall of Reach adaption did right. The only things.
>covenant only exist in one arm of the milky way >that one flashback where a non-covenant non-human ship lands on one of the rings after the forerunners disappear >343 could have introduced any number of different species for us to find >tfw were stuck fighting forerunner bionicles and more fucking covenant
Nolan Powell
>people actually defend this trash kys
Isaac Powell
That part was horrifying to read as a kid
Daniel Clark
They actually had to have a completely different dev team make up a half-decently interesting faction with Halo 2 and the Forsaken. 343 clearly doesn't have the mindset for science fiction adventures. Chief man handling the entire Osiris team would have been neat to see. Or at the very least let us see Spartan IVs get thrown around like rag dolls by the Spartan-IIs.
Hudson Nguyen
Dumbass. Bungie openly says that the idea for Halo rings came from the Culture. And Halo rings don't look at all like Ringworld.
Halo 2's campaign, ODST, and Reach were terrible, that's why it was never pursued. I agree though with the Spartan IVs they weren't needed and when Spartan Ops failed in Halo 4 that was a clear sign telling 343 that no one wanted them.
Parker Butler
>squad-based tactical shooter with ODSTs never fucking ever it hurts
Aiden Perry
I thought for sure that this is what we were gonna be doing with ODST and then they just made us get separated and play catchup with memory cards. Shit was retarded.
Jack Davis
>Republic Commando reskin never
Ethan Wright
Rather have a large scale game about the marines. >Air dropped by Pelicans. >Firing lines of scorpion tanks. >Able to call in orbital strikes. >ODST and Spartan deep strikes.
Ayden Wood
Considerably more was stolen from Aliens.
Carter Morales
Now I'm just disappointed there isn't a Halo: Dawn of War in the style of the first one.
Michael Green
I'm just waiting for the eventual retcon of all the 343 shitshows by having Chief wake up in that ship he was in at the end of Halo 3 saying Cortana had him in simulations to make sure he was battle ready.
Eli Rodriguez
speaking of which I'm wondering why we never got an IG game. I always thought grunts were more interesting than the super soldiers in most any media
Ryan Allen
Dies WAY too easily in the lore. Only a very lucky few surivive combat. Maybe as a horror game or against a small WAAAAAGGH!!!.
Hudson Murphy
>Cortana shows up right at the beginning, tells everyone that she has information that will change the galaxy and that she's been cured. >Dispatch Chief to seek out her coordinates. >En route he encounters heavy Covenant resistance. A new sect that's gained power in a civil war power struggle from within the Covenant itself. They use reverse engineered Prothean tech so we don't have to deal with shit Prothean enemies anymore, but can keep some of the weapons. >They want to use Cortana to reverse more tech and set the Covenant back onto the Path. >Chief fights through them and arrives, only to discover that Cortana has already been taken, and they left a hallow doppleganger of her. >Dark Cortana or something. >Fight her. >Weeks pass. >Cortana gets out another message and tells Chief where she is. >He seeks her out and the military is behind him. Full on assault. >In the end he frees Cortana and he takes her back to the original coordinates. >She ancient weaponry that was hinted at by the New Covenant to single handedly wipe out the Covenant that held her. >As everyone celebrates they see the war machines beginning to jump into hyperspace, and get reports from distant outposts that they're arriving enmasse at other Covenant worlds, even the Elite homeworld. >Chief fights his way through Cortana's security and meets with her, forcing her to explain. >She says her time with the New Covenant has made her realize that peace through war is the only answer, and she reveals a plan to aggressively enforce peace onto the galaxy, starting with destroying any possible opposition. Game ends on a bleak note as reports pour in that planets have begun being glassed, regardless of their alliance with the UNSC. >Locke and all the other retarded nuSpartans aren't even mentioned because they make no sense and they're all shit.
Owen Fisher
I would ignore all the marketing material and build the game off the teaser trailer.
Isaac Bailey
Now that you mention it I think that would make for a pretty interesting horror game. make it based around positioning and ambushing since you probably can't take them in a head-on fight sounds fun
