The first FNAF game was actually a pretty damn awesome concept for a horror game. Killer Chuck-E-Cheese animatronics are keen. And as far as a first attempt at a game goes, it was fairly admirable, even if it was just a jump scare simulator.

But thanks to King Autist Matpat and his endless FNAF videos, and retarded streamers like Marketplyer and Septicsystem, the game attracted all yhe worst internet autists right off the bat. The first time he tried something new (That FNAF world thing), they all jumped him for it.

Now he's doomed to make the same game over and over again, because his aspie fans won't touch anything else he does, and most other people don't want to play a game by "That FNAF guy".

Sure he gets money off the games and plenty of merch money, but fuck, I can't imagine being held hostage by my own franchise like that.

The entire story behind FNAF is heartwarming and one of the best examples of making lemonade from lemons I can think of.

Actually there was technically nothing new about that. Quite the opposite. It was a deliberate throwback to all the old rpgs that he made. But since, none of the FNAF kiddies have heard of those/don't care, everyone hated it.

The reason the series went to hell after the first game stems from how much he cares about what leddit and youtube thinks of the lore.

You know even though Undertale has a lot of autists, there were probably a lot of people that just legit enjoyed the game and sent him thank yous or congratulations. It must be a nice warm feeling that at the very least, you made a lot of people happy for a period of time.
