So I tried that Good Guy Garon shit for Conquest. It does improve things quite a bit. I'm interested to keep playing to see what happens.

I mean, it's nothing incredible, and most of the script is the same, there's just new text inserted, but it's still pretty nice. It's not canon, but it's good that they set up Hoshido as less blatantly good by giving Nohr an excuse for "we wanna steal their shit".

I like the ZR style of Elise. It's more exposing as it gets inward rather than the other way around, which teases the innerthigh action more.

She's a great unit and invaluable to Conquest.

She's fun to use in Warriors

I rode plenty of horses and there's no fucking chance in hell that a small little loli like Elise can ride one all day with bare thighs, absolutely zero. They would get swollen red and she would be unable to walk for several hours if she dared mount a hourse dressed like she is.

Which class should I do for my next Conquest run, Spear Fighter or Sky Knight?

Great presentation, awful story told exceptionally well, dogshit gameplay. Emulate something good instead.

What have you done so far? What did you find most effective?
I think pegasus knights are mostly useful for rally speed and other utility whereas a spear fighter would be a great frontline fighter. Might be a bit redundant since you have the nohr noble skill, though.

Game looks awesome in terms of art and animation (has THE best looking battle animations in the series)
Story doesn't tread new ground, and isn't really good, but the way it's told is so good you don't really notice
Gameplay is experimental to the point of being bad. The maps suck absolute shit even though the base mechanics are pretty neat. Game is only like 10 hours anyways so you might as well play it.

Why does everyone say it has shit gameplay? It's one of the weaker ones in the series for sure, but it's still plenty serviceable and fun

As much as I think Fates has a GOAT soundtrack I can't stand the S support music. It sounds too cheesy. Awakening's s support music did it better.

I really don't like the subpar map design with a lot of it being open fields, being uninspired or those boat maps. Lower class variety, only one weapon allowed, no weapon triangle, also all bog it down.

It really isn't. It's good compared the to garbage JRPGs most faggots play but it's in no way a good Fire Emblem game or even a good SRPG. You need extremely low standards to think it's good.

Its okay. Gameplay is mediocre and way too easy since there's no manic or luantic mode, AI reverts back to stupidity after Conquest fixed the AI in the series when compare to the others but 776, and class balance is fucked. There are tons of cool mechanics but aren't utilize properly. Map design are just empty plains and rout fest with Celica's maps being the worst and dungeons are too boring and too linear. You think after making Paper Mario ISIS would try to make dungeons complex but the layouts are very simple. I'm not asking for Dark Souls level design but it needed something more.

Story and characters are generic but told in a way that doesn't feel generic, which is plus in my book. Music is really good but the main battle theme is so plain and plays constantly I can't help mute or lower the music for half the game when it plays. Game is graphically pretty, battle animations are some of the best, but some don't have any effort put into them, like mages or archers. Overall a 7/10, but with little to no replay value I'll lower it to a 6.5. Being faithful wasn't the best idea, when many already consider it one of the worst in the series.

Swordmaster, Bow Knight, Great Knight, Hero, and I also tried Dark Knight on a Birthright run I never finished. Just doing a run on Normal to check out the Good Guy Garon patch, so I wanted to try something a bit different. I also considered Shrine Maiden but that might be a little too tricky.

I suppose this is an absolute vs relative argument. Many people (on Sup Forums especially) would call a 7/10 shit, when it's really just not as good as the other, countless 8+/10 games. A 5/10 is not shit in my eyes.

I agree Echoes has some of the worst gameplay in the series (having not played 1-5 or 12 mind you) but it was still enjoyable so I could not call it "shit".

In a series full of 9s that 7 is looking pretty weak. I will agree it's mildly enjoyable compared to typical dogshit games but that mostly comes from the audio and visuals more than the gameplay. The thing I liked the most was being able to keep the voices on for the first time so I could hear Takehito Koyasu as Saber. Sure that's """fun""" but that doesn't excuse the awful gameplay.

I like having kamui branch into something like cavalier for the skills then go back to nohr noble and learn magic. Another good option is ninja, try that if you want something viable.

It changes dialogue to make Garon a bit less cartoonishly evil and make Nohr seem more human/Hoshido less perfect. For instance, after you beat Xander at the beginning, he tells you how you have to be strong, since Nohr got to where it was by imposing order on the scattered tribes, and they would gladly take your life if you gave them the chance. And when Garon seeks advice for Anankos, the characters actually react like "Anankos?", Garon seems to be resisting some sort of control Anankos is trying to exert over him, and Corrin wonders about that dragon god Anankos when walking through the woods right after. I haven't gotten far enough to see much more, I'm at chapter 9,

I'm not sure if I should express my own opinion. If we're looking at only the 3DS games, I'd say Echoes did the best visually. Gameplay is at the opposite end of the spectrum, even grinding is a chore once I finished the Thabes Labyrinth; Conquest definitely has the best gameplay. Nice design choices minus some bumps on the road.
