Why do you play the most boring class in RPG user?

Why do you play the most boring class in RPG user?

it's straight forward and non complicated

Honestly I used to love mages and rogues especially, but lately I've come to appreciate pure melee tanks.

Most games seem to understand that swords and flat out soldiers are boring and most people won't play it, but this tends to lead to the class itself either being completely useless or so brokenly powerful its laughable.

Seemingly more latter than former too, since rolling a generic warrior means you do nothing but load points into health and strength, and by mid game you're an unstoppable rape machine that trundles through enemies taking scratch damage from everything.

Because I like guns.

>TFW Guild Wars 2 lets you play as a Warrior with a rifle

Because magic is hardly implemented well in video games.

magic always looks puny and weak sparklers and stealth is always annoying

Because I don't like tanking bosses or healing the guy tanking the bosses

>tfw LB warrior outshines rifle unless you go zerk ultra burst that gets reflected in PVP
such a shame, none of the rifles for any class really hit right for me unfortunately

thankfully it turned out that everything else for the warrior was fun as fuck to use

Melee str classes are always boring, but more boring than them are the generic mages that just sit back and spam fireballs, ice balls, or lightning bolts and think they're so smart because they can match the element to the enemy weakness.

The true patricians choice class is the Commander/Captain/Bard/ that has basic attacks but powerful support buffs for their party.

Sometimes its fun to play something basic.

Because sometimes I just want to be a strong motherrfucker with a huge fucking sword

>true patricians rely entirely on being carried by others
try again, actual true patrician coming through; carrying all of you on his back

I like slaughtering cowards who hide behind magic and sneakiness, crushing my enemies and hearing the lamentations of their women.

barbarians are chads though, generic warrior (or god forbid "fighter") is the generic one

His outfit is fucking retarded but yes, Paladins for the win.

>magic
magic in video games usually sucks ass and in RPGs it usually amounts just amounts to magic missiles or "elemental" damage
>stealth
every encounter takes 2x a long because you have to setup. also you're frail as fuck and die when sneezed upon by an enemy
>ranged
shoot at targets, move backwards, shoot at targets, move backwards, shoot...
In most RPGs, ranged characters have zero interaction with enemies-- it doesn't matter if you're shooting a rabbit or a dragon.

>The true patricians choice class is the Commander/Captain/Bard/ that has basic attacks but powerful support buffs for their party.
Agreed on the class front but I'd rather have useful utility skills over boring passive buffs any day.

>needs class fantasy to enjoy the game mechanics associated with warrior classes
What a boring simple person.

I always play warrior or barb or something because I like the playstyle. It's simple, fast, and fun. Especially once you start getting good skils or equipment and you can steamroll adds like a motherfucker.

It's called "thinking with your dick" and it has yet to fail me

>Sorcerer
>Fighter
>Rogue
>Ranger
>Spellsword

I've played plenty of different classes, what're you on?
