Staring at asses is a stupid unfunny meme.
Really i just find women more aesthetically pleasing in every way. It's more pleasing to look at, they're usually not ridiculously bulky and women look good in a greater variety of clothes.

If all else is equal, I play female characters. If females suck in a game, whether it be egregious stat/gear differences or no good appearance/voices then I'll default to male. I'm more likely to roll male in 1st person games because then there's basically no visual element of the character to weigh the odds.

In Pokemon I roll female because they're qt while the males are either generic (red, gold) or fuccbois (diamond, black2). BW gave me serious pause though because Black was finally an unironically cool looking male trainer (ruby had the meme hair-hat), but I still ended up playing as White because the ass was phat and I like ponytails.
