This game was unironically hard as fuck mainly because the level design was complete garbage and you damn near needed a map with all the backtracking.

Shadow the Hedgehog is unironically a good game that gets too bad of a rep. It's fun and makes no sense (why does a sonic speed hedgehog need a motorcycle). It's just good dumb fun the whole time being an edgy shit.

This game is tied with SA2 for the best controls in the series. Actually, maybe ShTH is a bit ahead because of Mad Space

No no. Really, take any one scene in Forces, and it has the worst timing ever. It just cuts into the middle of a situation, and the characters go through their lines with little care, and then the scene ends abruptly. They aren't even trying with Forces. They can't build up any drama, because they're afraid to let a scene linger for a second without some action happening. Everything just happens one after the other relentlessly.

At least with Shadow the Hedgehog, within a scene, they'd pace it properly. Let the player feel the weight of the situation.

I Am... All of Me can't be faulted for how well it fits the game.

I actually really love this game. This is what Generations should have been like, minus the "edge" (which really isn't that bad). Shadow is a love letter to fans of SA2. You're constantly finding old areas and links to the plot of SA2, from Prison Island to the Rail-riding things in Lost Impact that are reminiscent of the things Eggman rode in Cosmic Wall, but the same isn't afraid to do it's own thing as well. Lava Shelter, Digital Highway/Mad Matrix, and G.U.N. Fortress are great unique stages in their own rights. It's ironic that Shadow, a game about leaving the past behind and moving forward, would be a better appeal to nostalgia than Sonic Generations, Forces, etc.

Take some MS Paint lessons, you can't even do straight lines.
