If BotW isn't finally delayed to early 2018, they'll show it at VGA's.
The only reason why they'll do that is because they do not want to overshadow Xeno 2 on release date and to hype up BotW alongside the goty award.

dlc pack 2 is confirmed for end of december so it will probably be shown at the VGA since it's the perfect occasion as the game will certainly win the game of the year award and that's like the perfect way to announce it

january will have the usual flavor shit direct where they showcase the general releases of the year with some teasers for E3

The next Nintendo direct is probably going to be early January like they did this years. Remember, the January directs only show what's coming within the next 12 months.

You people are ridiculous. It's not being held back for the VGAs or anything else. It was supposed to come out more than two weeks ago on the 10th of November alongside the new Champion Amiibos. Ever since release, there's been a major Switch game or release every month. Champion's Ballad was planned as Nintendo's big effort for November but got fucked up and delayed. It's obviously trapped in a mild form of development hell.

DLC1 wasn't half-assed. There's no reason to think this one would be shitty either. What we're dealing with here is a hopelessly demanding and picky little autist who's gonna shitpost about the DLC no matter what it turns out to be.

The new armors were purely cosmetic, they didn't offer interesting power ups.
Master Mode was poorly designed because the enemy regeneration system made you avoid combat.
The rest of the stuff they added felt like it should be in the base game.
Master Sword Trial was the only good thing in that DLC.

Those things alone don't justify spending 20$ for a season pass, just compare this DLC to the Witcher ones, Bloodborne's Old Hunters or even Mario Kart 8.

Nigger, I beat Master Mode with 6 hearts INCLUDING the Sword Trial, that doesn't change the fact that is horribly designed. Just look at that room filled with water and white Lizalfos nearly at the start of the trial or the Calamity Ganon fight where he randomly starts doing a climbing tour around the room refilling his whole life bar.

Ambitious by just adding a Lynel at the tutorial and barely changing the rest of the enemy placement, also adding a tedious mechanic that won't encourage entering in combat at all, and putting some dumb balloons in the sky. Yeah, just as ambitious as Master Quest.

Something that would still result in you having an increased powerlevel thanks to a large stamina wheel. There's also nothing stopping you from eating for temporary hearts, which is pretty likely. Not to mention 6 hearts is a really fucking arbitrary number to settle on. Why not just go full on and go with 3?

You sound like you don't know the room I'm talking about. You can't just shoot them until they die because those lizalfos are damage sponges and you don't have enough arrows. Also, chances are that you probably toss them into the water and they start regenerating health so you'll end up wasting your weapons. It's so poorly designed that people resort to this kind of strats to clear the room:
