DS Has no games

Unless you like minigames or j-rpgs, ds doesn't have enough games besides the usual bing bing yahoo to keep you playing. Prove me wrong

2005 called; it wants it's consolewars shitpost back.

>DS has no games unless you like games
??????

Ace Attorney is one of the best things Capcom has ever made.

Such as?

And what do I play after I beat them all?

Twewy

You can't Morgan Freeman your own post man, come on.

>JRPG for tweens
No thanks

I guess I was right, there is no good games for DS besides the usual you expect, and a bunch of JRPGs. Sad

Smt strange journey
>inb4 jrpg

>IT has no games
>Except
?????

>platformers and rpg’s don’t count!
Well in that case the GBA had a shit library too

I was actually thinking of getting into the franchise, but I don't think I can play the first one on the DS. Where would I start?

Also, on topic, too many untranslated games. Japan got the good bulk, maybe I could find more games if I spoke moon tongue

>DS has no games
>ignore all the games it has though
Christ

the only thing that's sad is you expecting help from Sup Forums especially with bait

Platformers are alright, but praising a nintendo console for having zelda or mario games is like praising a car for having a steering wheel and an engine, it doesn't count

Then name some good games that weren't produced by nintendo

You’re missing the point. The premise of this thread is DS has no GAMES. You can’t then set arbitrary limits like a bitch.

it has no good games that aren't jrpgs, and not everyone is into that sort of thing, and I don't see you trying to prove me wrong

I proved your original premise wrong and that you moved the goalposts to an arbitrary place like a bitch.

>DS has no games if you ignore most of it's games

999
Mega Man ZX
Contra 4
Ace Attorney
Tetris DS
Trauma Center series
Ace Attorney series
Henry Hatsworth
Castlevania series
Ninja Gaiden Dragonsword

And a bunch of Nintendo games and RPGs I won’t list off I guess

so you have no arguments, then. that's fine, I expected as much from a nintendo fanboy

so you prove my point, ds has nothing aside from a thousand jrpgs and bing bing yahoo

Literally didn’t read my post

Castlevania series, Trauma Center, Contra 4, SMT, Nanostray 2, Henry Hatsworth, Coropata, Elite Beat Agents, Megaman ZX/ZX Advance, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Puyo Pop Fever, Scurge The Hive, The World Ends With You, Thor, Viewtul Joe, Bangai O Spirits, Ace Attorney, Ghost Trick, 999, Hotel Dusk

>999
On my list of games to play
>ZX
Not really into mega man, but which games should I play before this one?
>Contra
Not really an arcade guy, but I was thinking about it, too
>Ace attorney
Completed all of them
>Tetris
Literally every console has tetris, it doesn't count
>Trauma Center
Another game on my list
>Henry Hatsworth
Doesn't seem that great
>Castlevania
Same as with mega man
>Ninja Gaiden
Don't know about that one, is it any good?
>Ace Attorney twice
Proves my point

Sure are a lot of arguments there

You just conceded that the DS has a thousand games. Good job. And don't start your arguments with "so", it's disingenuous.

You forgot this masterpiece

Henry Hatsworth is excellent

Let’s step through it again user. The title of the thread is DS has no games. Just because you don’t want to count arbitrary genres doesn’t make the statement false. This is objectively an argument.

>Le meme game
How? it looks like some shovelware game
You have no arguments, and you have no games, so your words are meaningless. Go bing bing yahoo somewhere else

>DS has no games unless you like the games it has

Really makes me think

I just presented an argument. Pretending it’s not one won’t make it not one faggot.

Don’t try, OP is literally retarded

I have a list of games I played or want to play. I can post it here if you want, point is that there is not nearly enough good games that aren't jrpgs or come from nintendo, therefore, the library is lacking

Its a very challenging, intense, well designed platformer puzzle hybrid. Starts off slow and easy but by the time you reach the later worlds you'll be shitting bricks since you need to both do tricky platforming but also make sure to clean up the puzzle screen constantly. Good bosses and great music too.

The DS has one of the best libraries for a handheld console, though? Including examples of almost every genre imaginable? Especially if we include GBA titles, since it can play those, too. The only genres I can think of that don't have at least one notable DS title are FPS (Metroid Hunters was ass) and MOBA. I guess there's a lack of good online multiplayer titles, too, but it's a handheld and nobody expects it to do that.

This is like saying "hurf durf PC has no games except FPS and strategy!" Not only is purposefully exclusing the system's most popular genres already asanine, but you're also STILL wrong.

>on my list of games to play
>thread title is DS has no games

Alright, I might check it out. Any other good platformers or puzzle games?

>I don't like it so it doesn't count as a game
Seriously user why haven't you killed yourself yet

Nigger it’s lacking in games YOU want to play.

I had brain age
And cooking mama

Monster hunter alone is enough to keep you occupied for hundreds of hours

I play Pokemon, SMT:A, Monster Hunter Stories and 4U, Mario and Luigis Dream Team, Ace Attorney, LugisMansion, Bravely Default, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, Zelda MM/OoT/LBW and some older regular DS games like Kirby

I agree with you, but there's not actually any Monster Hunter games on DS (they're all on 3DS).

>1+1=2
>OP says his personal value for one is equal to 0.04532 therefore the statement above is false.

OP, if you are ever gripped with crippling loneliness, remember that you did this to yourself by creating a personal universe to inhabit that is so isolated from reality that words have definitions that only make sense to you.

It's very lacking:
Pokemon games
Mario
Zelda
Ace Attorney Games
COD Games(Because there is literally no other FPS games on the system)
Metroid Prime Hunters
NFSU2
7th Dragon
Rayman(No bullshit mingame ones)
Resident Evil Remake
DisgeaDS(Because I ran out of good games to play and had to start looking for Jrpgs)
Ultimate Mortal Kombat
Super Robot Taisen Endless Frontier(Another Jrpg I never heard of)
999
Chinatown Wars
And Ayanami Raising Project, Because I like playing obscure games

Hardly a collection worth bragging about, and if I start filling it up, it will be full of some weeb 2d sprite based RPGs I could play on an SNES instead

Umihara Kawase port is great, has 2 games. N+ is fun too. Besides that there are a bunch but theyre kinda forgettable cutesy ones like Starfy and Shantae

>DS Gas no games
Ace Attorney, Ghost Trick, SMT: SJ, SMT: DS 1&2, Hotel Dusk, Last Window, Mario RPG, Professor Layton 1-3 and all the other ones people have mentioned.
How can someone be this stupid ?

>COD Games(Because there is literally no other FPS games on the system)
>Very next line:
>Metroid Prime Hunters

Is this bait? Have I been baited? Because I'm mad as fuck right now.

>MD
Autism
>Monster hunter stories
I thought there weren't any MH games on the original DS
>Luigi
Bing Bing Yahoo, doesn't count
>Bravely Default
What's that?
>Animal Crossing
Literally a facebook game on a cart
>Fire emblem
another game I wanted to get into, where would I start?
>Kirby
Nintendo shit I'm too old to play

The 90s called; they want their zinger back.

But you’re 17 though

It's nintendo shit, and not a FPS in a traditional sense, more like an action adventure game

Excuse the old meme but OP is a fucking faggot

Nigga are you a clown or does it just come naturally?

>another game I wanted to get into, where would I start?
Either FE7 (just called "Fire Emblem", on the GBA) or FE9 (Path of Radiance, first game with Ike, on Gamecube)
FE7 has a lengthy tutorial that is a little grating, but it really hammers in all of the series main mechanics.
FE9 has a short tutorial that is less thorough, but the game itself is arguably easier than FE7. Plus the story is infinitely better than FE7.

Except the campaign was tacked on garbage and Hunter's main attraction was it's Arena Shooter inspired online and local multiplayer.

>What are some good games on this Nintendo platform?
>Mario doesn't count! Kirby doesn't count! Metroid doesn't count!

... Zelda?

In b4 >doesn't count!

Actually, I liked the exploration, it felt natural. Gunplay was also better than COD

Zelda is shit, literally only playing it because there are no other games

Storywise, you would start at fe1 tho, no? I mean, unless there are prequel sequels

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
Elite Beat Agents
Rhythm Heaven
WarioWare: Touched!

Give these a shot user, they’re fun

>Not an FPS in the traditional sense
>It's a shooter
>It's in first person
>It even has mazelike levels, like Doom, when the genre was literally called "doom clone" for like 10 years

Nigga what the fuck are you smoking?

it's a nintedo shooter, looking for something a bit more gritty

Cool thread and all but who is he pointing at?

The FE games take place sometimes centuries apart, they are self contained stories and you don't need to play them in order. The only thing you'll miss is when characters do occasionally cross over, and then it's not really a big deal.

Please grow out of your edgy teen phase then come back to this website

>I liked the exploration
Exploration needs actual rewards and interesting things to find. Hunters didn't have this.
>Gunplay was also better than COD
No it wasn't. There's no way for the gunplay to be any good because the bosses were shit and there wasn't any major combat aside from bosses and those garbage tier Bounty Hunter fights. At it's very peak, the singleplayer was just a shitty version of the multiplayer where you fought AI instead of people. At it's worst you were fighting the same 2 bosses more times than was remotely acceptable and shooting completely meaningless and boring little enemy creatures that wandered the environment.

Not OP

you're right, I shouldn't expect more than bing bing yahoo or weeb cartoon rpgs out of my console. thanks for proving my point

Hold the fuck up. Your reason for discounting a game as literally not even belonging to its own genre is that it was made by Nintendo?

In other words, every first party Nintendo game is immediately disqualified as being a game at all to you? And you're wondering why a fucking Nintendo platform doesn't have any games?

I was always curious where the next power up would be, what it would be, and what world I would visit next. That sounds like some good exploration to me

And the gunplay/controls feel better, at least to me. Bosses were a blast to play, and so was multiplayer, when people still played it

You forgot to say that puzzle games and rhythm games are shit too. I'll let it slip this time.

You had no point other than “DS doesn’t have games **I** like because too much of an angsty teen”.

>t. brainlet

It's similar to Final Fantasy in that entries take place in different, unrelated worlds.
FE1, 2, 3 (which is a remake/continuation of 1), 11 (another remake of 1), 12 (remake of the 2nd half of 3), and 15 (remake of 2) take place in the Archanea saga, starring Marth (or Alm, in 2/15's case)
FE4 and 5 are the Jugdral Saga, which takes place in the same world as Archanea, many years before 1.
FE6 and 7 are the Elibe Saga. Roy is from FE6. These games are completely unrelated to the others.
FE8 is in Magvel. It's the only game in Magvel, and has no relation to the rest of the series.
FE9 and 10 are in Tellius. It's where Ike is from. No relation to rest of the series.
FE13 is in Ylisse. This is where Lucina and Robin are from. Same world as Archanea, but thousands of years in the future.
FE14's world has no name. It's where Corrin is from, and has no relation to the rest of the series.

>I was always curious where the next power up would be, what it would be, and what world I would visit next
Because you're dumb. The only upgrades you ever get in that game are guns that open doors.
> That sounds like some good exploration to me
Nah, you're either remembering poorly or have REALLY bad standards.
>And the gunplay/controls feel better
In the context of the multiplayer? Sure!
> Bosses were a blast to play
I'm actually profoundly triggered by this. The bosses were fuckin garbage and I've never seen somebody attempt to defend them,.

Yep, this was a successful bait thread.

So, you're proving my point, is that it? Nintendo has no good games except nintendo games?

was hoping to salvage it by turning it into a comfy DS thread but autism has taken over

So, no re-occuring characters and such? I might give it a go, I liked the premise and gameplay, from the few videos I watched

Umm, that's not an argument, Sweetie.

That wasn't your point, though. You said it had NO games, besides JRPGs and "ning bing wahoos," which I guess means Mario games since you included Mario and Luigi in that category despite it not being a platformer

But yes, if you want to move the goalposts, every Nintendo platform since the 64 has been good only because of first party Nintendo games.

Even then, it's apacrophal to say there are actually NO good games that aren't first party, as yoi yourself have agreed multiple times in this thread with games like Ace Attorney being worthwhile.

You're just going to read the one word ("yes") in this post and declare yourself the winner, though, so why bother? You'll do the same to every other person in the thread until it gets pruned and then sit back in your chair and smugly think "I showed them, ha. Another internet argument won by me!" Then you'll start another fucktarded thread and the cycle continues.

The only reoccuring "character" is Anna, but she isn't important or anything.
Basically just play either FE7 or 9 and then spread out from there. If you like the story/world of the game you played then you can play their sequel (FE6 for FE7, and FE10 for FE9)

You don’t even know what your point is at this point

>COD Games(Because there is literally no other FPS games on the system)
>Metroid Prime Hunters
why the fuck do you want to play an fps on a handheld anyway

Okay, I will give it a go. Thanks for providing me with more games, rather than just crying like the rest of the mario faggots

>the DS doesn't have games is you exclude several genres and these 50 games I've already played

And saying that certain genre of games don't count because you don't like them, counts as an argument ?

You're right

there is castlevania or megaman zx if you want some action games, not much besides that. GBA is a lot better.

Because I want variety

It's not 50 games, and to think that the console's game library is so shallow that it doesn't have anything of interest for you, unless you have a certain niche, proves my point once again that DS just doesn't have the games

Oh, you didn't understand that post was sarcasm, pointing out that the DS had other great types of games OP conveniently left out. I see. Let me laugh at you then.

Non-JRPG, non platformer, non Nintendo developed answer: pic related

I can find those on my phone, but I guess some puzzle games are okay. Rhythm games need to stay on the wii

Looks cool, actually

abysmal taste
rhythm games =/= dancing games

If you bought the good DS version you get both GBA and DS games.

You do know that FE is a first party Nintendo title, right? Be careful! You might get the cooties!

Jrpg is not a genre

FE is second party, made by Intelligent Systems.

>If you remove the games I don't like the DS doesn't have many gamesx

Then play Nocturne. SJ is a great game but whatever
