Now that the dust has well and truly settled I finally picked this up. It's a legitimately solid rpg. Yes, I have seen the sjw shit and the bioware animation QUALITY but honestly it all passes very quickly and the game is enjoyable. Was this game unjustly hated on just because it was a bad time to be Bioware and to be pro progressive?

I enjoyed it but even with the character creation it didn't have a lot of replay value.

It's not solid. The villain motivations and threat are meaningless. The agency given to the player character is pointless and empty. The plot and beats are nonsensical. The gamplay and quests are on the shittiest side of MMO-type. The aesthetic and graphical fidelity are bland.

DA:I is like a shitty version of Kingdoms of Amalur.

KoA at least has awesome spirit weapons and finishing moves, as well as a pretty trippy fantasy setting

The game's biggest sin is the repetitive mmo style quests/objectives copy pasted in every area.
So much repetition gets boring fast.
It was a fun pass time back in 2014/15 when I had nothing to play and the main story content is enjoyable for what it is.

Open world is bad, story/main quest is enjoyable.

This has got to be the blandest, most soulless game I've ever played. At least Hawke made me bear her shitty game somewhat, but DAI has literally nothing going for it.

Didn't mind the story or characters but found the gameplay loop dull. The side missions were mmo style too making them even duller.

I liked the story, it was about what I expected from a Bioware game
Had enough fun cutting through damage sponge enemy as a rogue to finish a playthrough, too

I tried playing this a while ago. Loved the first, skipped the 2nd.

The cutscenes and dialogue are beautiful, but the gameplay is such utter garbage I couldnt stand slogging through it for the roleplaying.

Side quests are the worst I've ever seen, it's literally go there and kill that. People are not exagerating when calling it an MMO

Ending was obviously rushed and DLC b8, none of the choices you ever took mattered.

The open world was lifeless and empty, same problem ME:Andromeda has, it feels like a weird empty stage than an actual world.

Combat is really mediocre, terribly in the beginning but it grew on me

All in all I put 60 hours in that game, I liked some of the companions but their stories didn't seem to go anywhere either. It's not terrible, but it could of been MUCH better.

SJW bs is blown the fuck out on Sup Forums though, Dorian and Iron Bull are the best characters and besides that tranny merc (which you can ignore) there is nothing "degenerate" going on

>her

>The cutscenes and dialogue are beautiful
The cutscenes were atrocious

>male Hawke voice
ishygddt

I agree with that guy
I normally play dudes in vidya, but default femhawke was such a qt she was the only thing that allowed me to sit through that shitty game

>Bioware
>Post-Jade Empire
Garbage game, senpai.

Fuck you, I liked DA:O and the first three Mass Effects
I wouldn't pay a penny for ME3 but the gameplay was fun enough to make up for Kai Leng and the ending

I enjoyed it.
The MMO quests were also in the first Dragon Age, like collect 10 in the forest and shit like that.

It's crazy because the same VA voiced Hawke's father in legacy and did a great job.

Tbh I just realized I'm pretty retarded mentioning that bc I played with French voice acting so I don't know shit about English voices.

>supporting corrupt capitalists like EA
This is why we need communism. And not the corporate backed self-described commies that make up antifa blocks... We need the Soviet Union back.

Don't worry user, it's much the same for the English voices - femHawke a top qt, wheras Nicholas Boulton struggles a bit with male Hawke's range. The neutral lines are okay (if still inferior to femHawke), but the aggressive and diplomatic lines are really inconsistent, especially if you switch between them in one conversation.
