>It's a conveyor belt level
It's a conveyor belt level
Neat
Factory levels are fun tbqh
...
I thought those were carrots at first
>That factory level in Titanfall 2
>Industrial level
>All the humans are dead
That was pure kino, in fact the whole game was.
>Conveyor belt level
>SOYLENT
Automation is cool, but can never fully replace laborers
Indeed.
I'm tentatively optimistic about a Titanfall 3.
EA bought Respawn so I guess It'll be brimming with pay to win garbage, but at least we're getting a Titanfall 3, hopefully with another single player campaign.

Who fixes the machine when it inevitably fails?
A machine designed to fix machines
Who fixes that machine?
Machine can already fix machines dude. And I know you will go there so here's the answer to that. Yes, machines can also fix themselves.
Who turns the machine on?
just like in my japanese anime
Backup machine fixing machines. Sometimes the machine that fixes the machine ends up fixing that machine.
>one robot goes down
>entire line stops
>one man goes down
>new man steps in
Complete automation is impossible
Why are you assuming there can only be one?
If theres more than one, the other machine that fixes machines will fix that machine.
Assuming theres like 10 and you have a design in place that prevents like half of them from working in the event of the others all breaking, so they can fix them, shouldn't be a problem.
If humans were as efficient as machines, and we researched human genetic enhancement as much as we researched silicon, we would not be having this problem.
A machine designed to turn other machines on, and also turn them off.
...
And who turns that on?
Why can't a new robot step in? The robots could just continually build spare robots to replace the broken robot, and then fix the broken robot. If the repair bot gets broken, then another repair bot will fix it. Also, the robots can mine for everything needed to make more robots, too, and melt down obsolete robots that were replaced with other robots to create more materials for new robots.
The problem with automation is intricate electrical work cannot be performed by a robot.
Who fixes the human when it fails? If a human can fix a human, a machine can fix a machine.
It's always on
a robot designed to turn on the turn on robot
which before you even ask is turned on by a another robot which gets turns on by a turn on robot
The robot who owns and maintains the machines
so that's why assembly lines with 100% human workers are so much faster
oh wait
A larger scale AI of the facility that can just tell things to turn off and on from signals when needed
Yet
this can't be...
God.
One person and then it's self-sustaining after that.
>and we researched human genetic enhancement
nigger, we can't can't, as a society, agree on how to call people who chop their dicks off while consuming estrogen, you think genetic enhancement would be a good idea in this sociopolitical climate?
Keighly is gay for Kojima.
No such thing. Mechanical entities need to be serviced.
A sexy female(male) robot.
God has more in common with an AI program than a human being
they service themselves
the pure human spirit, adaptability and general averageness of humans makes the product better then any other
HOLY FUCK
Right
Serviced by serviced bots who are built out of construction bots and made out of materials mined by mining bots and turned on by turn on bots, the service bot also services the construction, mining, and turn on bots.
But those aren't human right? they are some kind of bird-human hibrid... What's wrong then?
Who tells the streetlights to turn on?
>go to work
>press an on switch
>spend 8 hours fucking my robot wife until its time to clock out and turn the machines off
futures looking bright lads
>stroggification.webm
I know were all meming here, and automation is pretty fucking sweet, but it can never fully replace human workers. Somewhere down the line, humans have to be involved.
Your mom who is so fat that she eclipses the sun just walking out of her house
You should read about nanomachines. They are still being developed but in theory, they work like human cells.
We train a dog to do it.
post the one with the laser
>someone built this shit
I hate this world
/tg/ please go
China's already mass producing genius babies.
Also western sentimentality is little more than social conditioning, having undue respect for useless freaks and no convictions is the result of several decades of brainwashing.
which part is unclear?
This is LITERALLY the lore for George Jetson's job.
A solar panel.
>Quake 4.webm
Are you fuckers serious? Of course there will be maintainers but having automation that works long enough before it needs to be fixed by a person or 2 is absolutely better than having people doing all the meaningless chores instead.
>get far into caves of qud
>gets killed by a fucking conveyor belt leading into the robotic pits of hell
Of course they do, but robots will literally be able to replace human being in the overwhelming majority of work in the future, so dumb arguments like "yeah but who will turn the robot on, hurrr" are inane at best.
It depends, the costs have to be calculated. A machine like that costs millions.
Suppose it lasts for 20 years before you have to replace it. You calculate how much does it take to employ some worthless waste of air at minimum wage that can do the same job for 20 years, then see which price is lower.
Humans invented mechanical movement to lessen the need for a lot of humans. Humans use that mechanical movement to create machines to use fewer humans than ever before. Humans updated those machines so machines can interact with other machines therefore requiring even fewer humans. Humans added thought in those machines so now they can use machines themselves
Actually, alot of previously automated applications in manufacturing are reverting back to human labor.
are they still alive? its really pretty boring if they're already dead
Because human labor is cheaper and that's temporary.
my guess is they're sedated and that the first cut to the center of their body kills them instantly.
Not temporary at the rate niggers are breeding.
Hit them in the center for OLD MEME
I think I'd rather be ruled over by a soulless AI than a bunch of soulless chinks.
The lego factory is completely automated. Pretty neat if you look it up
The machine pays for itself after a few years though. After it has paid for itself you use the profits to build more machines. A previous company I worked for invested in a multimillion dollar laser cutting robot that cut tubes to length and cut a little hole in the centre. It paid for itself in 2 years and is still going strong years later, saving costs on human labor.
They are already cooked.

Man why are Vice articles so retarded. The writer tries to play up and exaggerate everything while the scientist just ignores it and tries to answer the non-retarded part of the questions.
You forgot that robots have no rights and have no pension or retirement benefits. If for some reason a machine got destroyed, insurance will cover it and you can just buy another machine, with humans you have to let him heal.
>it's an escort mission where your crew stops to attack every single enemy
The whole point is that it doesn't necessarily pay for itself soon enough.
How many years can you employ some fucker at minimum wage for a million dollar or two that those machines cost?
Also, if you buy one of those machines, you are pretty much locked into manufacturing the same thing. It costs a fuckton to rebuild the machine if you realize that you now want to produce a larger crab, because the last one became endangered and it's now illegal to fish it or something. While it takes little effort for a human to cut up a larger crab.
Then there's the opportunity cost. Instead of shelling out a lot of money in advance for an automated factory, you could build two factories and produce two different products instead.
Any futurulogy/futurism articles will be full of shit. Double that for vice and other mainstream media.
Mission Impossible for NES conveyor level wants a word with you
>with humans you have to let him heal.
Are you kidding? Just fire them and get a new one. Make sure that it's in his contract that they are liable for any accidents they cause.
control your dogs you stupid bitch
that woman should be put down
that poor cat :c
those poor dogs /:
Pitbulls are the niggers of dogs.
...
I fucking hate dogs.
What shithole country do you live in? Fucking China? Please, PLEASE don't tell me you are American.
Do you realize that you can modify machines? And the slowest machine is still faster than the fastest human.
>I just wanna go home and play videogames
>my feet hurt
beta soyboy cat lover detected.
I fucking love these videos so much.
>dumbfuck hits the pavement as soon as the dogs take off
>tries to pull them away with the leash when she couldn't handle them in the first place
>leaves one dog's collar loose enough that it can just pull it off
>refuses to actually lay her hand on one of the dogs
This is why every pitbull attack story you see involves a woman.
all pitbulls must be euthanized
...
i dont get it. theyre eating people? just ripping off the plot of the movie?
lol, cat deserved it for being a little shit
This, I can't remember when was the last time I was so impressed with the level design.
