What went right?

What went right?

Being self-aware helped a lot.

Cup a noodles 15.

this

OST
Good characters
Story has its moments
Comrades is fun

Ignis.

>All male cast was fun and a breath of fresh air for the genre
>Good roadtrip setting for the first half
>Memorable characters
>Beautiful world
>Story has a couple of good moments
>Fun combat system

Literally the only thing that makes me keep coming back.

How does he keep styling his hair after going blind?

how does it feel to be delusional

game has obvious problems but overall I did have fun with it. I was thinking of replaying on NG+ considering there have been some changes.

Here's the better question

What went so horribly wrong?

Not much

I don't get how anyone can consider comrades fun. Even with other players it's just a buggy grindfest with tons of loading screens

>snaps fingers
Ah-ha I've discovered a new recipaah
SHUTUP IGNIS SHUT THE FUCK UP

Precisely: the bros dynamic in the game. There's nothing else of worth there, unfortunately. Haven't played Comrades and never will.

This

This too.

Cindy, Summons, uhhhh, the graphics? Everything else was shit though.

How many seperate DLCs and major content updates has this game had? Any chance of SE releasing a ”complete” or ”GOTY” edition in the future?
Might actually pick it up then, knowing I’d at least get all the intended story content. Oh but there’s that damn movie also.

The summon system was dogshit

these guys

poor Cor. He was removed from the main cast due to being old and it clashing with the bro-only trip and relationship they had in mind

Comrades could be fun but not with these insane loading times.

They at least looked cool

muh open world meme game with no Story that consists only of grinding trivial no-quests like in a shitty korean F2P MMORPG. The game's Story has been migrated to other media (TV/Film)

Nothing. They took the work of someone and gave it someone else. It will never be what it was supposed to be. FFXV deserved more than this, Nomura deserved more than this, the people waiting 10 years deserved more than this. If nomura did not have the contract with disney they would have taken away his kingdom hearts too. They took away his favorite son. He clearly was self inserting as regis, XV could have been Final Fantasies new beginning, but it became its wish for a new beginning.

>MUH DECADE
>MUH NOMURA

I wonder what it's like to judge games by shouldawouldacouldas instead of what they actually are.

Now they gave him the remake of FF7 and he still got KH 3 and probably a new 3DS (or switch) KH that'll take place before KH3 or is that the mobile game?

A full priced unfnished early acces games with a movie attached to it and multiple season passes?

Squares management fucks up everything. Nomura is directing two games, is co producer on 2-3 games and is character designer and artist on 4-5 games and he didn't even know he was the direcor of 7R until it was too late.
No wonder almost everyone left Square, they're killing all their employees

Well technically the mobile game is before everything else so you aren't wrong.

Sony needs to buy square.

I don't know about that. But didn't Sony sell it's Square enix shares a few years back?

Yeah, that.
It'd be nice if you judged that and pointed out it's strengths and weaknesses instead of screeching "IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO AMAZING" when every game Nomura's ever helmed is a mixed bag. It's better to focus on what is than your delusions of what might have been true if everything went perfectly.

inb4 "FUCK U TABATA SHILL", this is the best game he's ever worked on and it's severely flawed. I was expecting much worse from him.

The OST. Literally nothing else.

Pigeons buying a second season pass went right.

Why does FFXV have so many dedicated shills

You ignorant fool there is no "complete edition" you must play the game, it's DLCs, the multiplayer but your must also watch the anime, watch the movie and read the novel as well as dev interviews to get the full picture. Good luck piecing it all together lego style because we sure ain't going to do it for you.
Fools thinking they can just sit down and play one game start to finish.

What the fuck is this girls?
This doesn't have ANYTHING to do with FF

The OST had like 2-3 songs that stood out, nothing compared to the FXIII OST's

It was overall good, but you can kinda tell that a lot of the tracks were written pre 2014 or basicly during versus days. They just sound so differently like they're actually triyng to convey something or try to fit a certain tone instead of just dude loud orchestra

Does it?
This board basicly only has one and everyone hates him even the people that liked the game

Why is saying "there are parts that aren't a complete dumpster fire" shilling in your mind?

>launch date: 29th November 2016

Well fuck...

Is all the dlc and updats out yet? I want to play it

It's literally one autist who has been doing it for over five years

Nope.

if I buy the game today, how big is the update I have to download before playing?

What system are you on?

ps4. PC port when? I could just wait for that, though I'm not sure how my pc can handle it

bought it for 20€ did i good?

The game updated with all the season pass dlc in my standard ps4 is 81.79 GB, pc is probably gonna be over 100 with all the super high res textures added.

The patch is like 20Gig.
The other content is even more.

I love how poorly photoshopped she is in this

Not an argument.

You don't have to like the game, user. But it would be useful to understand that not everyone is like you and that is for the best.

damn. I'll keep that in mind. thanks for the info

Very thoughtful deconstructon of the game mechanics! You've clearly mulled this over for quite a while. I for one am forever grateful for your articulate insight into the issue.

>What went right:
Great character interaction.
Combat is more fun than it gets credit for
Fantastic soundtrack

>What went wrong:
Butt blasted Nomura fanboys.

I wish i had standards as low as you. No wonder FF will continue this shitty if everyone just eats it up and ignores all flaws

He's not wrong. It doesn't really matter which one you summon, it's basicly random anyway and it's a random autowin. If the elements actualyl mattered and you had control over which one you summon it would be way better.
I summoned ramuh like 40 times and only got titan once and never saw any other summon aside from the scripted appearances. They could've easily made them manual and just put a limit on them either use based or cooldown based

>What went right
The bros.

>What went wrong
The removal of Stella.

For me, the announcement of her removal was big sign this game was going to be shit.

Not them, but it's the best FF since 9 in my book. It did more right than 10, 12 and 13 even if it's only a 6/10.

>Fantastic soundtrack
There is not a single memorable track in this game

This.
