Literally game of the decade

>literally who at release, biggest game in the world now
>creates a entirely new genre in the mainstream
>22 million sold, very likely to reach 100 million after console ports
>SEVENTY FIVE percent of people STILL play

Admit it. It's the Minecraft of this decade and will be remembered as such

Yup, China is pretty big isn't it.

It's the most popular game in every country

It looks like the Xbox version will be the definitive way to play. No Chinese or hackers. Plus I much more rich and lively online community with XBL.

>75% of the Steam players are Chinese, Bots, or both
>Game is horrendously optimized, console release will be even worse.
>Biggest draw to the game is the stupidly pricey cosmetics people sell on the market
>Game is doomed to crash as they rush to a full release for mote piblicity and trip over themselves, on top of the inevitable Chinese rip off when their government decides to pull things back into their own house

WEW, OH HERE WE GO BOYS!

I keep meaning to pick it back up but I got tired of the blatant hacker problem. I am glad that they're actually updating the game and fixing it before release when pretty much every other game that got big off early access just took the money and ran.

THE UNENLIGHTENED MASSES

ITs just a clone of minecraft hunger games

This game goes great with vaping.

>It's the Minecraft of this decade

But Minecraft was released this decade though

Correct. Like vaping and fidget spinners, PUBG will be a symbol of the 2010s in the future.

>2009
>this decade
you fucking retard

>Hackers in every game
>Company does nothing about it since they make shitloads of money from it and can say "Hey look how muh sales"
>Updates go from fortnightly to barely monthtly
>Server problems constantly
>We plan on fully releasing this game in 7 months and having no micro-transactions, but check out these survivor, wanderer and gamescom crates, aswell as all these skirts
>We're definately working on the cheating problem, meanwhile we make boatloads of money from cheaters rebuying the game
>Cross region play, allowing chinese 500 pingers to be at an advatage

Tencent themselves are already making a copy.

Oooh! I'd go a vape and gape on that one.

>2009
>actually 2011

You forgot Trump and 7x1.

And looks way better too

>considers the phone app version to be the definitive minecraft version
kys phone poster

Which company will make a blatant ripoff (besides Fortnite ( I know pubg is already a ripoff)) that will fail horribly?

Which company will make a blatant ripoff but adds original aspects but will still fail miserably?

Which company will take the good, trim out the bad and make a better version?

this looks awesome

Scenario time: you're making a game. No one has head of you or your concept. For argument's sake, let's say it is very fun and, like PUBG, is easy to grasp but has some depth. It is also not a total garbage heap, so it can appeal to both casuals and actual gamers.

How do you reach a million players?

It's 2017. The last decade is from 2007 2017.

>Which company will make a blatant ripoff (besides Fortnite ( I know pubg is already a ripoff)) that will fail horribly?
EA probably.

>Which company will make a blatant ripoff but adds original aspects but will still fail miserably?
Whoever the fuck Cliffy B works for.

>Which company will take the good, trim out the bad and make a better version?
Can't really think of one off the top of my head.

>How do you reach a million players?

if the game is good enough it will do so on its own purely by word of mouth. people telling their friends "dude this game is the best thing ever we have to play together" is the most powerful marketing tool in the world.

that's how counter-strike went from a small half life mod to the biggest competitive shooter.
that's how dota went from an obscure warcraft 3 mod to the then biggest game on steam.
and that's how now pubg went from a tiny arma3 mod to one of the most successful games of all time.

probably by shilling on anonymous imageboards
a million views should be easy if it can get a president elected

Can they release the new fucking patch already.

Vaulting makes it so much better.

I know the game is shit, but this 'muh china' meme needs to die. PUBG would still be the most popular game of the year even if China didn't exist. When will Sup Forums just admit that the game isn't FotM chink shit?

THEY CANNOT MAKE THE JUDGEMENT CALL

Isn't this game just an asset flip of pre-bought assets?

>shilling for tencent
you should feel ashamed
it does seem cobbled together asset store shit but it's more likely the work was just outsourced asset quality and optimisation is all over the place

>>shilling for tencent
How is that happening? They don't own the IP or the company that made the game.

>Gearbox

>Dice/EA

>Nintendo

Keep in mind that League of Legends actually used to be good until Tencent bought out Riot

nope tencent own a portion of the company and are making a mobile spinoff
the game has a big presence in china so naturally tencent own their ass

>game of the decade is a dumbed down mod from arma 3

Fortnite is better.

Can't wait for all the clones of it at E3
Rockstar & Epic are already stealing from it, won't be long before others do

>they own a company making a mobile spin off
So then they don't own the IP or the company that actually made the game? Are you just pretending to be retarded?

in what sense?
The only thing it has going for it is decent performance but PUBG is already working on that with UE's devs to make games with this massive maps work properly on the engine.

Wow it might even reach 5% of Minecraft revenue if this goes on.

I can't believe it's even in the same breath as Minecraft, but here we are.

That actually looks 10x better than PUBG.

Shill it in China

LoL is as shit now as it was since it was released. Tencent didn't even do anything to Riot after buying them, Riot ruined the game themselves.

It will be remembered as the game that started this genre (even thought it wasnt the first, it was the first successful title)

Truth is tho the game is bad. And it is just a matter of time before someone comes along and figures out how to make this genre really good, and as soon as that happens PUBG will be kicked to the curb.

The only reason it is so popular right now, is because it happens to be the best of the current 2-3 titles in its genre, so everyone plays it by default if they like BRs. They play it because they like the genre, not the game.

Post yfw the red dragon destroys PUBfaG for good

>PUBfaG
that's not even clever you tryhard animeposter

I figured a Hunger Games simulator would be popular when released. Wonder if it will die down quickly or take as long as Undertale.

>PUBG
>On console
I hope you will enjoy BR game with 20-40 players on smaller map at 30 fps with shitty netcode.

>biggest game in the world now

This is what PUB tards actually thinks.

GIVE UP FREE WILL FOREVER

HOW is this game popular?

I mean I do play it, but why everyone else is, is what I dont understand

>HOW is this game popular?
It's cheap and really easy to get into.

basically free
i've made like 60 bucks selling/opening crates

clunkiest mainstream FPS in history only with analog sticks..

I cant even imagine. At least they wont have to play against people with 3 times their own FPS

the sandbox survival genre has basically been a pipe dream genre since inception but now we are starting to get games that can actually start to grasp the potential, even if just barely
even a buggy as shit mod of a mod can gain a huge following

easy to get into? Come on

It's fun?

it can barely reach 60fps on a mid range rig, how is the xbox version going to be definitive at 24fps?

plays like a mobile game

Consolefags literally don't care about fps. Bloodborne runs at 24fps and people at that up.

I heard the team that ms sent over had it running at a solid 60 and that was about two months ago.

>Biggest game in the world

What is League of Legends?

The game has no depth, so yes.

I was just about to post something similar.

>runs better
>on PC AND both xbox one and ps4
>has a good distinct visual style (better than shitty generic UE look)
>updated constantly
>dev team is VERY communicative with fanbase
>F2P
>embraces unintended gameplay developments and implements them into the game instead of being dicks and fighting the community

oh and the PvE isn't half bad and will also be F2P at some point next year

lol, "depth". Man, you should do reviews when you grow up

an increasingly unpopular game crafted to cater directly to soulless asian husks and siphon their cash

Just because you're a retarded nigger with an iq of 70 doesn't mean PUBG has depth. The game is extremely barebones and is extremely easy to pick up and play.

>At least they wont have to play against people with 3 times their own FPS
How about ps4 pro and xbox one x having better fps and resolution.

I was just complimenting you on that deep analysis of the game, dude.
Obviously whatever it is you just call "depth" in lack of the knowledge required to properly explain your opinion, is the only factor in deciding if a game is easy to get into

>plays like a mobile game
t. never played fortnite

It's the closest it gets to an arena shooter among BR games. Lots of fast paced movement and verticality and the building allows for outsmarting opponents and not just dying from being shot in the back unable to find cover.

PUBG's got the realism but, as I see it, Fortnite has a lot higher skill ceiling.

not in africa for sure

>good distinct visual style
the game's visual style is just as "distinct" than pubg's.
Loadout, gotham city impostors, battlefield heroes, agents of mayhem, just to name a few. Can you name games that have pubg's "shitty generic UE look"?, because I don't think you can. PUBG isn't trying to be a special snowflake yet it stands above all the rest.
>updated constantly
Both games are, what's your point?
>dev team is very communicative with fanbase
So is playerunknown, what's your point?
>F2P
as stated earlier, you can get your petty 30 dollars back, doubled, in less than a month by selling lootboxes or what's inside them. I currently hold like 20 gamescom crates and they're each 7 bucks. Waiting for them to go above 10 and then sell them. If you can play a game, enjoy it and even profit from it, what could be any better? F2P is just a gimmick to lure in 3rd worlders and children. Even setting a 5 dollar price to a game will stop poorfags and mudslimes ruining your games.
>embraces unintended gameplay developments and implements them into the game instead of being dicks and fighting the community
backstory and citations needed
>pve will also be f2p at some point next year
the PvE FN was dead on arrival, it's just another battleborne waiting to die out

why do you have such a big need to defend your dead game on PUBG threads? Why aren't you enjoying your game if you think it's so fucking good? Or is it that you can't find matches due to empty servers and instead shill here so you could play at least one game each day?

>updated constantly
>dev team is VERY communicative with fanbase

it has been months players players have been asking for a simple character selection instead of randomized shit, and the devs are completely ignoring this.

Which is dumb as fuck, something as simple as letting you choosing your own character and customizing it would attract and keep more people, just look at pubg and its market.

t. sup 80 iq monkey

You have to be retarded if you think PUBG is anything other than pick up and play tier baby shit. What's funnier is how you haven't even bothered to even try and explain how it isn't easy to pick up despite reprimanding me for not doing that. Go be retarded somewhere else.

Dude, youre see-through.

but look, things are obviously not great at home. Tell me who youre really mad at?

Of course. Everyone would pick the black chick cause shes op. I like the random character factor, makes me appreciate when i finally get to play as the fine redhead

...

For 15- 20 bucks, is PUBG worth it?

Most of the time i'm not really interested by popular games but i'm curious about why is it selling that much...
also i'm bored.

Yo that actually looks fun. Except the 3rd person garbage.

Just wish they'd optimize it.

wow that actually looks great

>failing ripoff
Ubisoft will make a "Tom Clancy" game using the battle royale formula. It will sell okay, but be bland and uninspired.

>Ripoff with some Originality
Capcom will try but it will be pretty lame.

>Better version
Nintendo with a major Splatoon update.

>tfw started vaping in the late 00's to stop smoking cigarettes
>tfw vaping becomes a meme for some reason
>tfw vaping is synonymous with a fedora for some reason
