Aside from pic related and MGS are there any series where 2>3>1?

some would say Crash

God of War

I love Junko!

Mass Effect.

no

MGS1 is the only good one, pleb.

Nobody loves junko

Ace Attorney

...

You mean 53>2>1>3 right?

>2 being the best MGS and Danganronpa
>DRv unless you mean the anime3 being better than 1 with that terrible 'lol fiction meta' ending
DR 2 was decent but the characters weren't great outside of MADMAN with the ending being a complete contrast with the other two in the same vein as persona 4 with it's happy ending where nothing bad happens to the cast at all since it was just VR everyone except Hajime's waifu lives as opposed to only 6 live in DR1 and 4 in DRV3 assuming KI-B0 also dies.

Personally I'd go DRV3>1>2 for characters and 1>3>2 for the endings since as bad as V3's was, at least the game actually meant something and was't just a reforming simulation so all the 'criminals' get to live andspend the rest of their days frolicking on an island as 'penance'.

V3's ending wasn't dumber than 2 or 1's. It's more believable than teen idol destroying the world for the epic lulz or whatever the fuck, and that being played completely straight.

I love her stinky sister!

Dumber does not not imply better or worse. As bad as 'teen idol sets about destroying the world to spread despair' was at least it was actually an ending compared to 'teen idol made a AI of herself (fuck knows how she managed to manipulate Chihiro's software to do it) and got someone to implant it into a simulation to try and make a bunch of clones of herself only to be stopped and everyone already alive lives happily ever after, except Asahina since Makoto's waifu Kyoko managed to magically get the antidote in time'

Then you have V3 which, yes did make more sense but was overall much worse and gave the same kind of feeling as 'it was a dream all along' endings get. It made ZTD's ending MIND HACCS featuring a single solitary snail and magical Alien time machines seem way better in comparison. Even if they both invalidated the previous entries to the series.

>and gave the same kind of feeling as 'it was a dream all along' endings get
All three games have some variation of the characters you see and play as all game not being their real personalities though. In the aspect you're talking about it's not all that different to the how the series is usually to be honest.

Chapter 2 and 3 of V3 could have easily been impossible cases if it wasn't for the character's stupidity. DR2 has significantly better cases.

>1
>better than 3
it's good but not the best.

But DR1 is the best in the series.

...

I was referring to the story in my post. I agree that 2 had better cases for the most part, except for 2-3 having a worse case than 3-3 since it only happened thanks to a 'virus' affecting the murderer and 3-3 had seesaw hijinks (although the killer's motive in 3 was arguably even worse 'I just want to kill a bunch of girls to keep my dead sister-waifu company lol' than the killer in 2's for case 3).

Danganronpa 1 is better than 2.

2 has a horrible ending.

Sly Cooper
Ratchet and Clank

t.contrarian.

>ZTD
>Better than DRv3
How about... no

DRV3 makes ZTD look like a masterpiece.

At least ZTD didn't invalidate the entire series, only fucking VLR over. V3 was just 'lol 1,2, UDG and 3 weren't real (As much as I wish 3 didn't matter) and by the way this is all essentially a reality tv show followed by 'maybe this person was lying and the other DRs are real all along'

Pikmin.

999 was better off standalone.

It doesn't "invalidate" anything
Enough with this meme

We enjoyed the games at the time and they meant something to us.
Fucking Shuichi stresses this point in DRv3--it may just be a game to those outside, but to the participants (us included), it was real. The deaths were real. The pain was real.

3'se gimmick level get annoying after a while. Feels like half the game is just gimmick levels.

>it was mentioned briefly at the end that to them it was real
>as opposed to the last 30 mins+ of gameplay which was reduced to complete shit because of this 'lie', where you have to go through minigames and do nothing since 'it's not real but you have to keep playing forever and ever'
Even if it didn't invalidate it (you've only got Shuichi's word to go on), the fact that sufficient doubt is cast over from everything leading up to that point in the trial is there and as long as that is a reasonable outcome (which it is), a few sentences from Shuichi won't change that'

Best girl.

If everything is fiction, what's the point of the Despair Arc anime, which is just there to show everything prior to the killing games?

To give DR2 a more concrete and terrible ending whilst also killing Asahina off (but keeping Makoto's waifu alive thanks to plot armor thicker than what she had in DR1 which is saying somehting) because she was pretty much useless in DR1 (alongside Weedman who only lived because of memes) especially when she tried to kill everyone (including herself) because she blamed them for her friend's suicide. Other than that not much happened since all the other new characters died anyway except for the anime brainwash maker guy.

>dr
>3>1
lmao

Despair arc was just fanservice. It revealed stuff that we already knew and stuff that we didn't need to know. It was essentially pointless

Asahina lived though. The one who got the short end was Chiaki where the anime decided to kill her off a second time and make her a tulpa for whatever reason.
