I don't want "the vanilla experience". The game had a lot of flaws back then, and it would be easy to address them.

Things that should be included
>Streamlined quests that give enough experience to move from zone to zone without an hour hike between zones
>Updated UI, the old one was garbage
>Keep the old talent trees, but let you have 2 or 3 setups for them
>keep skill ranks, but make them cheaper so they're not such a gold sink during leveling
>Mounts at 25 instead of 40
>fix long ass respawn times on quest mobs, and include the new tag system so anyone who touches a quest mob gets the quest drop
>no cross realm shit
>no lfd/lfr
>put battlemasters in cities, ffs
>fix itemisation

Vanilla was alright, and it was fun, but they have a chance to do the whole thing right this time. I don't care about the so called vanilla experience, so much as I care about getting to play through the content at the appropriate level and be able to find others to play with.

I don't think classic is going to work really. I'd prefer the spend the time and energy just updating the old dungeons and raids to be played at max level, like they do with time walking.

Not gonna happen.

>I don't want "the vanilla experience".
Then Wow Classic isn't for you.

But it's all about how inconvenient everything is. Reminder than you can't eat and drink at the same time, how fun!

This

Fuck off OP.

I want them to fuck up WoW classic and turn it into some kind of disusting amalgam of live and vanilla purely for the epic levels of shadenfreude I will get to experience.

>Mounts at 25

You're a real piece of work kid

vanilla was fun because of my friends and family

now id have to play vanilla like i play current wow, a lonely BG grinding faggot latching onto random guilds

Hello! You appear to be confused with a few things, allow me to point you in the right direction!

There will be probably 4 or so servers when World of Warcraft Classic comes out, but did you know there are 30+ other servers that cater to your demographic readily available even today?

Yes, it's true! Just pick up your copy of Legion, and you can have the streamlined, modern-age gaming experience you so wish for!

It's really the only way it will work without dying in 6 months. I figure blizz is going to release raw vanilla the way it was, and then when the servers have 250 people across all of them they'll laugh, make an I told you so post, and release a patch that modernizes it.

>Yes, it's true! Just pick up your copy of Legion, and you can have the streamlined, modern-age gaming experience you so wish for!
but some people want to play a better version of classic, not legion.

If you don't want the vanilla experience, don't play classic. It's not for you and this whole "the game should change its core values for me when I clearly don't like the game" is exactly why retail is so fucked right now.

>I don't like vanilla

So why are you here? Go find a private server that suits your interests.

just play retail

Make flying mounts available at lvl 1 or no buy.

spbp

Classic is just the gateway drug to modern WoW for Catababbys who want to feel like part of something.

>Classic released for 1 year
>Announce BC addon
>Announce LK addon 2 years later
>etc.

>four
I'd rather they make only one. It'd be hellish for the first few months (not that being able to advertise queue times wouldn't let them how off how "popular" wow classic was), but after it cooled down it'd be a server with a population that could sustain itself for years. The last thing they want is four vanilla servers they need to merge down to one. Or worse, cross realm vanilla.

I just want to experience the shitty vanilla wow like when it came out. Maybe they can make small balance changes to it over the years, maybe even new content but on launch and for a while I want everything to be exactly the same.

I think a merger of modern WoW polish and classic design philosophy would make for a pretty fucking great game, but they should do it to retail and keep classic as a time capsule for the people who want it. As funny as it would be the game deserves to be preserved in its original state.

Things that shouldn't be included
>You

retail is eternally fucked because they didn't adhere to a single design paradigm throughout the lifespan of the game because with every new lead developer came ridiculous sweeping changes that fundamentally altered the basic formula.

I'm not advocating that they change anything in classic, merely pointing out that there are a sizable portion of the playerbase who do feel that certain design philosophies and structures that existed back during classic with some modern features would have been their subjectively "preferred" version of the game. Ultimately, it's all moot.

I don't know why people insist on replying to these bait threads since WoW classic is not going to have much, if any deviations from its original iteration.

Just do two - one PVP server, one PVE. RPfags can fuck off to Moon Guard where they belong.

Should just be pvp, really. PVP is half the game and everyone should be good at it.

The worst part is that for some reason game developers care what Reddit thinks, so all of this bullshit will be in the WoW """"""classic""""""

>no cross realm shit

This gets me every time, like they're going to make more than one classic realm to even cross to, bahahaha

>put battlemasters in cities

Not only was this change bad, but it was done in Vanilla, idiot.

I wonder if people will complain if they change mouseover stuff. Like when you mouseover a repair guy you get a hammer, and when you mouseover a normal shopkeep you get a back of gold.

Server pop + queue on Elysium Fresh was over 30,000 people, if blizzard goes with "blizzlike" realm size they will need at least TEN. I know that number will drop to 10k - 12k inside three months and they will need to merge, but people will be mad if they can't accommodate 30k-50k at launch

Dude, PvP, PvE and RP. We both now they'll use their new "PvP" servers system, AKA PvE.

Add goblins.

>I don't even like X but it should pander to my tastes and needs
Literally what's wrong with women and the so called "gaming".

Remove goblins

Depends on the server capacity in the end. In an ideal world, they'd have a single server that's stable enough to cater to everyone that would want to log on in a region. Since that's unlikely, there needs to be at least one server each to cater to the weaklings who just want PvE and RP.

My lore information is lacking about two or three expansions. I just got back into playing it, finally reached Stormheim (my second to last zone before Suramar) and I had question to the more up to date Lore Buffs.

What's up with the Vampires here? Last time I ever found Vampires in Warcraft were the elven ones in the Lich Kings raid.
