His own deconstruction of half an A press renders this impossible. Even without it I'm surprised people just let him get away with it. He made up his own definition of a press and somehow going into a state of not-pressing is considered a part of a press, which is horseshit.

there are actually four states to the press: no press, press, hold, release

Then the entire community is demeaning what they set out for as their ultimate goal by coming up with stipulations that go against the nature of the run in the first place.

Button presses are changes in states only in one direction. 0 -> 1 is not the same as 1 -> 0. A button press is an input. A button release is a return to default state which is not an input. The whole purpose of a button is to input so that a circuit completes. Resetting the button aka in-completing the circuit is not an input in and of itself. A press and release are two different things. A press without a release is not a "half-press".
